  1. I mean Tre Herndon who just got signed and Brandon Codrington who is the last DB on the roster are playing the vast majority of the game
  2. Haha did Mike White just yawn ?
  3. The game looks like a Bears team trying to prove itself versus a Bills team trying not to get hurt
  4. I find it very very interesting that Epenesa is now in the game even after the other guys and didn’t see him the first two series. Either he is in there because someone got dinged or he’s fallen down the depth chart
  5. Mike White has actually looked a lot better tonight than last week but not getting help from his teammates. Bad throw to Hawes followed by the Latu drop
  6. Well Fox has a # 1 QB lighting it up with the hot new Head Coach. The Bills have Brandon Codrington at CB, which would you talk about
  7. That 3rd down reception against Codrington was once again cover zero. Can’t picture the Bills running a ton of cover zero this year
  8. I can accept it but everything has to be factored. To the Bills this is a nothing burger, they’re playing all backups, and they can afford to try different things in the preseason to see if they are effective or not. The Bears have a new football coach, with a new football system , and a team that is typically been bad with a 2nd year # 1 QB trying to get ready for a brutal division. Bishop might not be in cover zero in the regular season but maybe they want to see it
  9. Yup when I saw Codrington I was like they apparently don’t care about this guy
  10. Before people complain , the Bills don’t have a single defensive starter on the field right now against the Bears 1s
  11. He was unseated by Grable until Grable got hurt last year then RVD became the swing. That’s where the RVD trade stuff comes from. It’s pretty clear RVD struggles playing RT
  12. As little as Samuel has done here he makes it because of his contract and upside. I don’t think they were impressed with Cooper. I’m thinking the Bills keep 6 WRs this year because Shavers or Shenault can provide STs duty. Shenault is another guy I can see getting cut and then the Bills keep on the PS
  13. The Bills do have some flexibility if they are down Grable and SVP. They do have some veteran interior guys who I think they can PS and then call up. I think ideally they’d love to cross train Grable inside for insurance purposes but they have Green and they recently signed Dan Feeney, two guys who while not great would provide some short term insurance. They also hopefully will have either Richard Gouriage on the PS again and he’s been here in this system for two years and he has trained inside and they seem fairly high on Mike Edwards who I don’t see it but clearly they seem fairly high something different
  14. I think if SVP is not healthy then he’s going on PUP/IR and the other two make it. If SVP is ready to go, RVD is getting traded to make room for Lundt. That’s my opinion on the situation. I will say that if SVP is on PUP that leaves them thin on the interior and Grable will probably have to learn to play OG this year
  15. On the other hand, beloved Two Bills Drive prospect Xavier Legette has still looked not good including getting into a fight and getting ejected in week 1 of preseason. I’ll wait till the bullets fly on Franklin, since he did nothing last year, but I was much higher on him as a Bills fit than most last year
  16. I disagree that Dane Jackson, Elijah Moore, and maybe Ryan Van DeMark are locks . I like the rest as it sits now
  17. Shaun Dolac has been pretty good, I think he makes their team but they do have quite a bit of depth at their ILB position. They also drafted Pooh Paul in the 5th round and he has been impressive which you would think would give him a leg up on Dolac. The Bills also have a backup role at ILB and the # 5 LB spot on the roster. I know most people assume right now it will be Shaq Thompson and understandably so but I think it makes more sense to get him through to the PS as insurance because he’s less likely to play teams due to age and injury history. Either way something to keep an eye on because someone good is going to be let go at ILB from the Rams
  18. Im with you when everyone was saying 10-7, 9-8, and yes there were a lot of people on this board saying that, I was like the Bills are winning 12 games minimum. When you have a guy like Allen you’re always going to be in the picture. Did this team transition , yes that’s true, but transition doesn’t necessarily mean the team is going to be worse
  19. Yea I can’t say I watched him specifically as I was much more focused on the interior Dline but when I did notice him his stuff in college tape looked mighty similar to what I saw on Sunday. I think he’s gonna be a guy who pops during some games and then disappears during others at least early in his career.
  20. Yup I wonder if this is the case. Virgil showed enough and probably wants a crack at a 53 instead of the PS and knew his shot here was very slim . Wonder if they did him a solid
  21. The Bills are doing everything in their power to never be chosen for Hard Knocks again because outside of highlighting player personalities the first two episodes have been a nothing burger and I say that as a Bills fan.
  22. Story of Shemar Stewarts career, getting close to a Quarterback but never getting a sack. Also if the Bengals defense is getting the better of any offense then uh oh. I know they have some talent on their Dline but come on.
  23. At first I was like of course they'd let him play vs the Chargers, Eagles, and Ravens in their first 4 weeks but then I looked at their whole schedule and thats a damn tough schedule especially with the improvements that the Chargers and Broncos particularly made and the Raiders always seems to give them trouble in 1/2 divisional games a year. Of course most of the tough games are at home though so we shall see.
  24. I agree with you that to this point that Bishop has been disappointing mostly due to injury and not being able to overtake Hamlin last year as a rookie but a lot of that has to do with system. I hope he takes the leap as I was incredibly high on him coming out of the draft and believe that he has a great deal of potential. A future Bishop/Hancock tandem would be awesome for the next decade and makes a lot of sense in the SS/FS fit more than Rapp/Bishop. I think that might be the idea to be honest as Rapp is on an easily manageable contract after this year where the Bills would save close to 3.5 million while taking on only a 600,000 cap hit. As for Hairston I don't think anyone could make any opinion on his career to this point though its not great that he got hurt and will miss a lot of reps much like Bishop did last year. I think it is arguable whether Hairston should have been a first round pick. I think he should have been. He has the ability to play both man and zone coverage which is a very valuable trait to the Bills right now. Add in the fact that the Bills had to get extremely more athletic in their secondary and it led to Hairston being the pick with a big need to boot. Good news is they drafted Dorian Strong as well who has looked very solid as a rookie and they have Hancock and brought in quite a bit of insurance in White/Jackson. How good will they be, who knows but the Bills did protect themselves at least in the short team.
  25. I think it has more to do with they don’t want Hamlin/Hancock/Lewis on the field as much in preseason and want another guy to pair with Forrest late in the preseason games in addition to Bishop and Rapp being limited in games and practice
