I think people should really listen to Beanes presser. Beane usually is very honest to media and he’s not blowing smoke. The Bills just don’t value drafting a 2 down 1T high in the draft unless they have good pass rush skills. It’s also been shown in their history of drafting by only selecting one NT in their tenure(Harrison Phillips). Whether they think Grant can be that guy is tbd but guys like Alfred Collins I do not expect them to target

I know not everyone listened to Beane's presser yet but I made mention during our draft special right before his press conference about Dewayne Carter starting to focus more on being a 1 tech instead of playing the 3 Tech based on what he showed last year and wouldn't you know it in Beane's press conference he mentions and hints at the possibility of Carter playing both but putting more of his focus on playing the nose.

Hes 6’2 242 at the combine and 238 at his pro day I wouldn’t call that a lack of size. Speed who knows but he excelled at the explosion drills like the broad and Vertical. Lot of upside still too since he’s a former walk on who didn’t play a lot early in his college career. With that said Schefter is getting this from an agent so it’s very possible he’s trying to put pressure on a team interested in him to move up or for a team ahead of the Commanders and Bills to select him

I think if they are willing to go that direction they must think he’s close. He does have really good natural instincts and is sure tackler but to me it’s like okay Milano is gone next year and Williams remains the primary backup but what does he do in year 1 unless the plan is to play 4-3 more but the. What happens with Taron Johnson. I’d have a lot of questions not on the player but how he’ll be utilized

Schwesinger is very much their type of player. I guess if they took him my question is how are they using him in year 1. I wouldn’t love but I wouldn’t hate it either. I have him going 26th to the Rams but he could go as high as 19 to the Bucs with Campbells uncertain shoulder situation. Oladejo I believe I have going in the 50s but I’m not right in front of of my computer

They have done a much better job of highlighting day 3 guys in recent years. I used to hate when ESPN would just go to roundtables and nfl player interviews and commercials while picks scrolled, or didn’t , on day 3

Yea I get it I’m in round 6 and I don’t have him drafted of my 7 rounder so far debating if someone would take a chance but I doubt it he prob goes undrafted. The Bills won’t even consider it

And I 100% can understand that thought process. They were so close were a couple of guys away let’s get the best prospects we can and I agree as well with the UDFA guys . They have had Gouriage for a couple of years developing and I did like what I say from Te’Cory Couch and Dequan Hardy so they could provide the competition at Depth CB. I just go off of Beanes past history. He loves having a pick in every round if he can help it but he sure won’t want to give up 109 and have to wait from pick 62 to 132. Just can’t see him doing that.

Yea I agree, I was taught at the college level. So I evaluated and recruited players from the HS to the D1 College ranks so I’ve never been in an NFL arena but I do know quite a few people at the Division 1 &2 levels as well as a couple of NFL scouts and a handful of personnel people at the college level but sometimes you have to be careful talking to college coaches cause they’ll inflate their own guys

I 100% agree with this. I think I have 15 but I have like 30+ players in the 2nd and 3rd round graded but even the 4th and 5th round will have some good value.

Its not about what we have right now though necessarily. I'm not trying to harp on you as they easily could just roster 7 guys like your saying and be fine. With that said, the Bills have safety depth but I'm not sure that Hamlin/Forrest are by any means locks to make this roster so they should have some competition. We need 1 CB and wouldn't surprise me if we add a 2nd to challenge Ingram & Dane Jackson who I don't think are locks to make it. We have 6 LB's but really only 3 of them are locks to make this roster as Andreessen, Spector, and Ulofoshio are going to have to battle for a spot with a draft pick. Then we look at the Dline. Epenesa and Bosa are free agents, Jones and Ogunjobi are free agents. To me we need to draft 2 DT's in this draft and one edge with the depth of the class. We are pretty set on the offensive line with the exception of David Edwards who is a UFA after this year. Most Bills fans will tell you that Alec Anderson should step into that role and he could for sure but then they need to either find a position versatile guy like him to replace him or they need to find a starting guard and leave him in that role. TE3 you already discussed and WR. This doesn't even include Punter which we can probably get another UDFA guy to compete but if they want to lock it down they can use one of their 6ths. So to me if you really want to press for spots TE3, WR, OG, DE, DT, DT, LB, CB,CB, S, P. Thats 11 possible positions. Will they all make it probably not but there is enough space on the roster for legit competition for 10 guys to be selected. I personally think they'll take 8 or 9.

People also said we wouldn’t roster all the guys last year and we did between active and PS and a UDFA made the roster. Trading down though isn’t necessarily about acquiring more picks to me. It’s more about acquiring a more valuable pick like in the 3rd and then that allows the Bills to move around in the mid rounds for guys if they like if they choose. Right now I don’t think the Bills will move up in round 2 because they won’t want to give up a 4th unless they get an additional 3rd or 4th

When was the last time we took an Ohio State guy? Cardale Jones or Adolphus Washington? We haven’t had really good luck outside of the DBs back in the day

Thanks for the kind words and same for you @FireChans. There is a lot of time spent watching college tape and I am never 100% right like anyone else. I have missed plenty so if you disagree with an evaluation that’s perfectly fine. @GunnerBilland I don’t always agree either on evaluations. One thing that we don’t have is all the medical and character info that goes into it so sometimes that hampers proper evaluation. Im currently working on a 7 rounder for the board that I will readily admit is just as much for fun but gives you a full look at why I have Bills players taking certain players. I’m through 4 rounds right now so hopefully by tomorrow and @GunnerBill and I are going to hopefully be collaborating on something the board can enjoy before Thursday

It’s only been one year but so far last years class was highly overrated. I suspect he’ll find a way into the 3rd round somehow if the guy he wants is off the board
