If you're not really a cat, I'm going to be disappointed.

Fella, I'm telling you what the folks who disagree with you are implying in the posts that follow yours. But you know what, you're on your own. I'll delete the post.

Nope. If it's Dawkins just back vs. Bobby Hart, Dawkins will start.

Yes, the situation is more complex than a purely private situation. If fans get mad at Star for his availability issues, this is a form of that issue. (And I am generally pretty amenable to the dissenting view on this particular matter because I find the government intrusion/media propaganda coercive, moralizing, and selectively hostile to protest.) Nonetheless, if you are paid as an entertainer and can't show up for a performance, expect backlash. Add in the decades of support involved in sports' fandom and the limited windows most teams have for a legit chance at a SB -- how many Bills' fans have lost loved ones over the years who missed out on a championship -- it's a real thing.

You're also fully lacking in decency. Don't bring politics in on Christmas and don't wish the death of folks you disagree with.

[edit: Jaguars LB Josh Allen] tests positive for COVID-19
Dr. Who replied to cv05's topic in The Stadium Wall
The first time someone posted this alleged joke, it was roundly criticized. It takes rare genius to try it a second time expecting better results. Cruel and unclever is a bad combination. -
Showdown with Pats is a judgment day for Sean McDermott, Bills
Dr. Who replied to HOUSE's topic in The Stadium Wall
Well, we'll see if this year is typical or not. Whether the tear down initially institututed was necessary is separate for this argument. McDermott's first teams were not designed to win against the better teams. Last year is the first year one could reasonably expect wins in that scenario, so your analysis is not convincing to me. I strongly suspect significant attention will be given to the oline in the offseason. If they get that right, Allen is so good he will elevate the play of the offensive playmakers on the team. I expect McD would have more success in that case. If not, your projection becomes more plausible. -

I personally wanted to hire Frank Reich at the time, but this is premature pessimism which you luxuriate in on a regular basis. -
Sounds like a blind date with a girl described as good personality, but going to hope for the best.

I have no idea what you gals and fellas are talking about. Don't you just use your real name? I was born on Gallifrey, always had trouble with authority, borrowed a shape shifting Time and Relative Dimensions in Space cruiser for a little spin, and since I like underdogs constantly having to overcome long odds against evil empires, naturally, I am drawn to the Buffalo Bills.

With a little help from the zebras. -
And Cody Ford who is awful, but who is actually going to be available on the oline? The Grinch is showing up big time.

Just get the top one on the list. Everything else is gravy.

Dion Dawkins, Stefon Diggs named to Pro Bowl
Dr. Who replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
I was thinking about this as well, M. I don't think he needs any extra fire, but it's there for the taking. My main concern is what kind of oline are we going to trot out there. If they can manage mediocre play which is about their high mark, I think Josh torches the cheaters. Praying for it. -

Dr. Who replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
Well, in my opinion, this sort of thing happens across the spectrum -- politics, academe, popular culture. Even the so-called serious subjects have approved narratives. Institutions have the power to select what is worthy of attention and what isn't. Headlines slant and overtly or implicitly tell you what you are supposed to think. In a lot of ways, society never gets far removed from the level of a high school clique. The insiders are jealous to maintain power and prestige and they can be very mean and shabby the way they keep it. The NFL is not a brave organization. Allen is a farm boy with the traditional apple pie, work ethic kind of appeal. That's not the kind of hero that is currently in fashion. -

Injustice naturally incites wrath -- Homer wrote a little poem about it. And yes, it's meaningless, doesn't make it not exasperating. -
Wasting downs? As in handing off for a meaningless, er, unhelpful two yard gain on first and ten? That's his usual role, especially in the red zone.
-
Well, I'm not reading through the thread. Maybe I misunderstood. I inferred your claim was they could have scored 21 in the game in Buffalo. Conditions limited both teams, but I don't see how that contributes to any assertion the Pats* were capable of more points, but tactically restrained themselves. Obviously, for this coming weekend, you wouldn't put a 14 point ceiling on either team.
-
BB has never shown compunction about running up the score. It wasn't a prudential calculation to only score 14.

NBC Boston: Bills are done, Pats make them lick dog *****
Dr. Who replied to Motorin''s topic in The Stadium Wall
Well, I think we beat them. We're the better team. It's Buffalo DNA to hate Boston, but they certainly make it easy. -
I hope he's at least charging rent. That seems uncomfortable.

AP exclusive: Bills propose new 60k seat stadium by (update - 2025)
Dr. Who replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
In general, bad weather levels the playing field. If you have a good team, you want ideal playing conditions. Years of bad Bills' teams and nostalgia have skewed the perception on this. -
How are we supposed to feel about this win??
Dr. Who replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall
Well, according to J. R. R. Tolkien, trolls turn to stone in daylight. I'm guessing you never leave the basement. -
Selective amnesia. Pats* fans use that a lot.
