  1. I think the impression of Patulski being a huge bust comes from his status as a consensus great college player and No 1 overall pick in only the seventh combined draft (starting with AFL-NFL in 1966). He had a decent career, but not one worthy of a No 1 overall pick. I thought comparing him to others in his draft class, etc was kind of meaningless. His performance and career stands in its own and the performance of others in his draft class isn't relevant. I thought the stats about sacks and fewer pass attempts was helpful in framing Patulski's performance as measured by sacks. I thought the biggest takeaway was his persona and game day demeanor as opposed to Saban's preferences. Saban sounds like he was a pretty difficult guy to play for if you weren't of his mindset. Saban had some great ends during his earlier Bills stint (Day, McDole) and he probably expected even more out of Patulski given those other guys weren't high draft picks. McDole was 4th round and Day was 20th round. Also interesting how that aborted punt block still stings. Just a very revealing look at a guy who has always been a bit of a mystery.
  2. Nice bit of Bills history about a guy considered by many as one of the league's biggest draft busts. Tim Graham sheds some light on the career of the "bust" from Walt's perspective. I gained an appreciation of a man I remember playing during a fun time to be a Bills fan. http://buffalonews.com/2016/11/19/busting-40-years-nfl-darkness-walt-patulski-explains-went-wrong/
  3. Johnny Cash's version of "Hurt" "I will let you down I will make you hurt"
  4. What the hell??? When did we go from bashing our best player to talking movies? If I want to talk about random stuff unrelated to football, I'll listen to Schopp and Bulldogge.
  5. U 96 Undrey Wash ???? Sounds like a category title on Pornhub. Or so I'm told..... ....or perhaps a technique used in massage parlors.
  6. hangnail could shut him down for the year at this point
  7. Isn't that more or less an average game for Green?
  8. Once Trump builds the wall on January 20, 2017, will NFL teams be able to get over it to play future games in Mexico? We might need a crane to get Dareus over it, with his bad groin and all.
  9. Put me down for turf toe in this weeks Dareus injury pool
  10. I've seen enough.....BUST!
  11. NFL going to start checking inflation on Gronk's lungs. Deflate gate no more
  12. Are you being serious? That's horrible man.
  13. I don't follow anyone, so I don't see anything in my feed except my posts - which are primarily pics and vids of my grandkids that my other family members wouldn't otherwise see. Facebook is awesome when you don't have to read other people's mental/emotional diarrhea.
  14. Seeing Peter Wolf at the Tralf tonight, visit family tomorrow and head back to Cuse to spend Sunday watching stress-free NFL football. Get laid at halftime if WotAGal isn't Christmas shopping (12 minutes should be MORE than enough time).
  15. I have several hundred CDs. Seldom listen to them; probably 2-3 times in past year. But there is no way I'm taking the time to rip them to hard drives or pay for a streaming service given I already own the rights to so much music. So, they will sit there quietly in the basement, gathering dust and every now and then I'll pull one out and give it a spin. I am enjoying all the new music that's available and have only bought MP3s for the past 4-5 years. It would be cheaper in long run to just subscribe to a service, but I like owning the music and feel like I'm supporting my favorite artists in a more financially-beneficial way (for them).
  16. But he also isn't wont to chuck it up and allow his receivers to try and make a play on the ball. I mean, if they can catch those 10-yard screwballs he throws when he's really trying, they certainly have a chance at a jump ball or two. LOL
  17. I agree with your last two statements. I'm hoping TT will play more aggressively once he is locked into that contract. Right now I feel he's laying back, trying to put up the most positive numbers he can to win that payday. Can't say as I blame him either. He should be set for life if he's smart.
  18. Winning cures everything. Except bitching. Bitching is the cockroach after the bomb. But for now, there's a lot to B word about because the drought has the appearance of continuing (to more than a few).
  19. YES! I'm all for trading our 2013 draft class to get him!
  20. I'm not disputing any of that. I'm questioning people who are laying down the law about how people should post. Any opinion is open to discussion and even ridicule, because that's the way this works. But to say someone shouldn't post because they aren't doing it the way someone else thinks it should be done is incorrect.
  21. The OP states "With the lack of receivers, the Dareus suspension/injuries, Aaron Williams out, Shady limited, and still no franchise QB this is a serious reality." Lots of rationale there, for me anyway.
  22. You talkin' Bills or Seattle?
  23. That may be your point of view, but it's not in the TOS. He did hedge his prediction, but he didn't make a "guarantee" - he just said it was a possibility that he thought was panning out. Bullying someone to put their money where their mouth is on a message board is, I don't know, foolish? Most people on here chiming in did the same thing - hedging their predictions, saying the Bills would be 7-9 to 9-7. But you aren't calling them out? I like your posts and find your knowledge makes you among the best posters on here - especially your insights from your work experience with different clubs and sports. So I respect your viewpoints, but am questioning your approach with this particular poster.
  24. And right on queue, he tosses a 67.3 rating and another loss against the Ravens. They have his number - what's their secret?
  25. ah, he's ok. I enjoy the give and take, back and forth. Just sometimes it seems like people get entitled to bully or belittle other viewpoints. So, it deserves some questioning. But if everybody had the same views it would be a pretty boring place.
