  1. MY POST from Jan 25 of last year..... The TRUTH is that it is widely accepted around the entire NFL world that the Buffalo Bills organization and its culture is one of the best ones in the NFL, if not in ALL of pro sports in the US. Does that necessariliy translate to winning a championship? No. But the org is not some shoddy fly by night deal like you imply above. What McD and Beane have built is consdiered top tier around the league. And the idea that the Pegulas are "not in it for winning" doesnt wash, either. They invested a ton of money building what is consdered one of the best fitness centers in the NFL (https://www.buffalobills.com/news/bills-expect-world-class-sports-performance-center-to-enhance-their-game). They have laid out BIG contracts to free agents and to retain their own talent. Again...does that translate into winning? No. The Von contract is bad right now due ot his injuries. But its sure damn NOT for lack of trying. The effort to win is there. The MONEY is there.
  2. "Dont tell me what to do, Jimmy." Also, we are +3 days out from another bad playoff loss. If a "fan" is not allowed to be angry now, then when?
  3. I AM "thrilled to support this franchise." Got my Bills sneakers on right now. But I do not like...AT ALL...the tone of this press conference. I can do two things at once (usually).
  4. Yet, the team has run into the same wall for 4 years now. They CANT have a "run it back, we are already great" mentality. Thats a recipe for disaster and seems to be what Beane plans to do based on his passive comments in this PC. THAT is what is angering me (and others).
  5. To repeat... "The end result was unacceptable to the people in this building and we will review and evalute all aspects of the organization to get over the hump." All that needs to be said.
  6. "Accountability" at One Bills Drive? Surely you jest.
  7. Broader point...I DETEST the injury excuse. Injuries and players being out...and overcoming that...are literally a foundational part of the game. You would think the GM of an organization that LOST A SUPER BOWL TO A BACKUP QB would realize that.
  8. "The end result was unaccetpable to the people in this buiding and we will review and evalute all aspects of the organization to get over the hump." All that needs to be said.
  9. We are talking about refs and officiating. Are ANY of these sycophants in the room going to press Beane or are they afraid they wont be invited to the next "party?" The hell is going on here?
  10. "I dont see the need to tear it down" - Beane. Sure, Brandon...the Big Nickel "BBDB" defense that failed five times in the playoffs? Roll it out as-is again. This presser is starting to get me angry......
  11. Haha. Again, I get the sentiment but I DO think sometimes the "aw shucks, we will get them next time, we love each other" mentality of this team, while often endearing, is sometimes a detriment.
  12. Beane (paraphrashing): "Id sign up to be in the same postion, down 3 with 3 mins to go next year." THAT DIDNT WORK THREE TIMES. How about being UP TEN with three minutes to go? Christ. [/rant] Seriously though...I get the sentiment but thats such a passive, defensive postion. Work to NOT be "down 3 with 3 to go" on the road in the loudest stadium in the NFL, facing a "GOAT" candidate with the best coaching staff in the NFL with one of the best HCs EVER.
  13. You and I know of another fanbase thats having a VERY similar conversation right now, dont we? NOBODY is saying that Allen bears the brunt of responsibility and EVERYONE is saying that the defense is the primary culprit. All people like me are doing is pushing back on the idea that Josh bears ZERO responsiblity for the losses. The Bills are ONE game over .500 in the playoffs with Josh Allen under center. One. He is the QB of this team and BY DEFINITION bears some of the responsibilty for that.
  14. If we are going to play this game, then ROB JOHNSON needs to bumped up a few notches on the ranking of Bills QBs. Becuase last I checked he walked off that field in Nashville.... See how silly this is?
  15. I love Josh Allen. I replaced the angel on top of my Christmas Tree with a picture of Josh this year, fer chrissakes. But the lionizing of him needs to stop. Hes not immortal. Hes not infallible. Hes not the Holy Father Pope Josh P Allen the Second. Hes a football player and one that does have flaws in his game that DO seem to manifest themselves quite often at the worst possible times. And its OK to admit that and put blame for bad things at his feet when they are warranted.
  16. I cant believe there are people actually suggesting that the Buffalo Bills take up the New York Jets model of giving the star quarterback the power to dictate coach staffing and player personel. This has been disproven time and time and time again. Yet people continue to trot it out there. Amazing.
  17. The douche get douchier
  18. Im not officially "boycotting" becuase what difference will it make but I dont think Ill be watching.
  19. Long Island, at the same house and with the same family Ive been watching with since about 1993. Wouldnt have it any other way.
  20. Going into a critical game against the Chefs with the linebackers and secondary compromised. Look. My shocked face.
  21. Thats not how atheltics work.
  22. I like WGR. With respect, you cannot be serious. WFAN is an umitigated disaster. You may not love the sports talk on WGR, but at least its sports talk, not a bunch of bald idiots trying to come up with some sort of combination between Stern and Mad Dog. I like WGR, mostly. Its a pretty good cast of characters and mostly serious sports talk. People in WNY should be happy you have a decent sports station in town. As I noted above, WFAN is a shell of its former self. Its really sad.
  23. I think you're the greatest, but my dad says you don't work hard enough on defense. And he says that lots of times, you don't even run down court. And that you don't really try... except during the playoffs.
  24. As part of my job, we collect a lot of user data for promotions, rebates and the like. The proliferation of bots is off the charts. Lets say I run a promotion for a client and we collect 10,000 responses....at least 30% of them will be bots. We are using all sorts of automated tools to prevent it and of course scrub files manually, but its a massive problem.
