  1. Yeah this is how I look at it. But the song still stinks.
  2. Becuase it stinks. Now get off it:
  3. Im an old(ish) metalhead so theres that!!!!
  4. Maybe the stupid Mets will get off their behinds and sign Pete to make your day even better.
  5. No chance, Josh just mentioned in his presser he likes it. I hate it. I mean, I like it philosophically becuase it means the game is in the bag. But man...its a horrible song...the Thomas the Tank Engine theme song has more balls to it.
  6. No, its stupid and shows you know NOTHING about Christianity or why Jesus Christ was crucified. Hint: ALL THE ***** GOSPELS Second Hint: Now I need to go to confession for cursing.
  7. Yes, Pat Surtain is an all pro DB and their defence IS good. Thats a fact. And the Bills DO have "all the pressure." They lose and its catastrophic, will result in complete tumult in the entire Bills ecosphere and will probably cost the coach his job. The Broncos lose and literally nothing happens. I hear that, but once the clock is 0:00 who cares. We celebrate either way. Im in the NYC area and have a TON of friends who are Giants fans and I can assure you NOT ONE gives a rat's behind that they won Super Bowl 25 the way they did.
  8. Easier said than done, especially in the playoffs. A 1 point win will do.
  9. Mr. Mohra: So, I'm tendin' bar there at Ecklund and Swedlin's last Tuesday and this little guy's drinkin' and he says, "So where can a guy find some action? I'm goin' crazy out there at the lake." And I says, "What kinda action?" and he says, "Woman action, what do I look like?" And I says, "Well, what do I look like, I don't arrange that kinda thing," and he says, "I'm goin' crazy out there at the lake," and I says, "Well, this ain't that kinda place." Officer Olson: Uh-huh. Mr. Mohra: So he says, "So I get it, so you think I'm some kinda jerk for askin'," only he doesn't use the word jerk. Officer Olson: I understand. Mr. Mohra: And then he calls me a jerk and says the last guy who thought he was a jerk was dead now. So I don't say nothin' and he says, "What do ya think about that?" So I says, "Well, that don't sound like too good a deal for him then." Officer Olson: Ya got that right. Mr. Mohra: And he says, "Yah, that guy's dead and I don't mean of old age." And then he says, "Geez, I'm goin' crazy out there at the lake." Officer Olson: White Bear Lake? Mr. Mohra: Well, Ecklund & Swedlin's, that's closer ta Moose Lake, so I made that assumption. Officer Olson: Oh sure. Mr. Mohra: So, ya know, he's drinkin', so I don't think a whole great deal of it, but Mrs. Mohra heard about the homicides down here and she thought I should call it in, so I called it in. End o' story. Officer Olson: What'd this guy look like anyway? Mr. Mohra: Oh, he was a little guy. Kinda funny lookin'. Officer Olson: Uh-huh. In what way? Mr. Mohra: Oh, just in a general kinda way.
  10. IN my case they are using past accidents as a reason for nonrenwal. But here is the kicker...they were informed of them when they wrote the policy! So.....the acddients werent an issue when they took me on as a customer but are a problem now? Makes no sense.
  11. Be careful, theres a big difference between being dropped and a nonrenewal. Unless the laws in FL and CA are different, in NY an insurance company cant just cancel coverage unless theres a failure to pay the premium or something like that. Otherwise, they just dont renew the policy and they must provide at least 60 days written notice of such. Technically with a nonrenewal youre still being "dropped" but youre not losing coverage tomorrow or anything like that. Thats often the implication with stories like that...like the one going around on X about the "90 year old couple that lost their insurance a month ago." There is no way that couple was doing nothing wrong and their insurance company knocked on their door last month unannounced and said "sorry, as of today no more insurance for you." Heres the thing about it though, which I just learned....insruance companies would be happy to raise rates and keep you as a customer. But they cant. They have to ask the state regulators to raise rates and quite often they are told no by the state. So their choice is to either keep high risk customers and lose tons of money or just dont renew their policies. GEICO stopped writing policies in NYS completely for a time becuase there was no way they could do it and not lose their shirts, give nthe fact the state was making them keep their rates artificially low. Yes higher rates suck but at least you would still have insurance. Dont get me wrong, they are still greedy bastards. Its hard to hear the insurance companies cry about empty pockets and tell you "sorry, we cant cover your auto insurance anymore becuase you had one too many $750 glass claims", but then see their massive sports sponsorships and commercials every ten seconds. I looked it up...the top insruance companies all spend over $1 BILLION a year on marketing and advertising. Im going through this right now, actually! Hence, this rant. Im sure this situation is more complex but this is at least my undersanding of it.
  12. Something a little different. This little film is widely considered to be the most accurate portrayal of "The Life", even better than GoodFellas and GF 1 and 2.
  13. What are you? Henry Hill (i.e. legitimately bronchial)?
  14. Call me a "debbie downer"....but put me down for expecting a win, but would not be shocked by a loss. A lot in Denver's favor here. Their line play on both sides, their secondary, the fact they are very well-coached. Dont take them lightly.
  15. Its a good pass protecting line. Im just saying you have to consider who the QB is when you asses just how good they are in pass protection.
  16. Josh Allen is ranked 15th in "pocket time."
  17. hyperbole /hī-pûr′bə-lē/ (noun) 1. A figure of speech in which exaggeration is used for emphasis or effect, as in I could sleep for a year or This book weighs a ton. 2. A figure of speech in which the expression is an evident exaggeration of the meaning intended to be conveyed, or by which things are represented as much greater or less, better or worse, than they really are; a statement exaggerated fancifully, through excitement, or for effect.
  18. Common knowledge is that A LOT of the reason the Bills sack allowed % is so low is thanks to the legs and feet of Joshua Patrick Allen. The OL contributes to that and it is a good line but lets not pretend the Bills OL are the Hogs or the 91 Cowboys' line.
  19. I understand. Not expecting them to grill Dunne. But you cant ignore it either. Again, that Dunne piece was a major national story last year. A simple "So, how did it go with McD in the room, given the piece you wrote last year?" would have been enough.
  20. Dissapointed that the WGR morning show didnt even mention the "past" between McD and Dunne in their interview with Dunne this AM. That article last year was highly defamatory to McD and made NATIONAL news. A year later Dunne and McD reach a detante' and sit down and nary a word about it when Dunne goes on WGR to promote and discuss the article? Christ...just a simple acknowledgement of the past by Jeremy and Joe would have been enough. But it was totally ignored. I get it...Buffalo is a small town and all these press/media guys are long time colleagues and friends. But to just ignore the giant gorilla in the room by DiBiasi and White borders on "not doing your job" territory. But this is a larger issue with Buffalo Sports Media. Their work is very often more "fans" and "friends" than "professional press/media."
  21. Maybe Im nuts (OK, I AM nuts) but Id love Doug Pederson as the Bills OC if Brady walks to take a HC job. Long time league OC/HC guy with a great resume who knows how to run an offense and an older (but not too old) guy who probably is not looking to jump into another HC gig...would probably be happy "settling down" with the Bills and coaching the offense for a long time.
  22. Im old enough to remember the "old" Pinto tailgate...Lot 1, Pole 6 I believe. Tom Rockpile and the crew with Kenny (Ron). A great longstanding tradition!
  23. Few things are gonna do that.
