I posted on a Grateful Dead web board, FULL of extreme leftists to please "Be Cool" if they were coming to NYC, pointing out specifically all the thrats of violence.. The overall reaction I got was that the GOP "will get what it deserves". So much for PEACE, huh?

I think its completely fair to characterize Cleland as a goon. Maybe not literally, but figuratively, Cleland's goal was to "terrorize", running down to TX, screaming and yelling, pounding on the door of GW's ranch with press in tow, his intentions were pretty clear.

Sorry, RCow...just dont agree. I think what a lot of voters are going to see is Kerry being petty. Bush HAS condemed the ads, he HAS come out against them...but Kerry is still poking his stick at this "dead dog" with the hopes tha tthe issue stays alive. Furthermore, as each day goes on, more and more people are getting wise to the fact that Kerry has his own band of 527s and people MUCH closer to HIM pulling the strings with those groups (Ickes). Bottom line for me, IMO is that each day Kerry keeps this thing alive is nore more day "Joe American Voter" gets wiser to the inconsistencies here...inconsistencies that will only hurt Kerry.

That cast is really going to hamper JP's clipboard holding skills this year.
