  1. Pipe down, Beningo.
  2. Watched the game again on TV last night. That stadium was a MORGUE before the 7:16 mark and the "comeback" started. Even after the Bills scored the first TD of the comeback, the crowd was not exactly jumping for joy. That stuff didnt start until the fumble. Lets stop acting like the people who left when they did...before the good stuff started happening....left some sort of positive gameday vibe and experience.
  3. "Why do people stay home in their air conditioned comfort and watch on their big screen TVs??!!?? In the 60s and 70s we didnt do this!!!" [Forgets there were no houses with AC and big screen TVs in the 60s and 70s]
  4. In a regular season game one. Whoopee. Josh gets paid $40 Million per year and doesnt have to take the kids to school and then pick up the work van and open the store at 6AM the following morning. Also, if Josh told you to jump off the Brooklyn Bridge.....
  5. I know that's the popular version... of what went on there. I know a lot of people like to believe that. I wish I could, but I was there. I wasn't here in a classroom... hoping I was right, thinking about it. I was up to my knees in rice paddies... with guns that didn't work, going up against Charlie... slugging it out with him, while people like you... were back here partyin', puttin' headbands on... doin' drugs, listening to the goddamn Beatle albums!
  6. Here's a scorching hot take.... It the grand scheme of things if you left you have ZERO reason to be truly upset, especially if youre lucky enough to go to lots of games. Yeah it was cool as hell and a great moment. But you didnt miss the Bills win the Super Bowl, or get to one. You didnt miss some historic moment like a player setting a record of some sort. This was not "The Comeback" in the playoffs. You missed the end of a really nice comeback win in Week ONE of the season. Nothing more, nothing less. And if youre blessed enough to go to lots of games, youve seen a TON of "moments" like what went down and youre on schedule to witness a ton more. So rest easy....and next time book the babysitter for an extra hour .
  7. I like Collinsworth. He's verbose and his love of Mahomes is grating. But the man knows ball and always has. And he has ALWAYS given Allen his props, even when Allen was rough around the edges his first few years.
  8. I had the Theragun before Josh did so I win. Works great. I bought the midpriced one because Im not a psycho.
  9. Sorry, even though Im a Mets fan I cant hate Bryce Harper. The guy is mega-talented and his hitting fundamentals are just so perfect. But more so becuase hes just such a damned hard-nosed gamer. I love watching him play.
  10. Ive recently ventured back into stoner rock and doom metal. This band just hits you in the face. I also like bands, in general, where the guitarist looks like when hes not on stage is working the counter at the local AutoZone.
  11. No, he doesnt. He had TWO good games in the postseason out of 7 he played in. The last game he was 2/34 (Cincy). I know...but he blocked so well....
  12. Oh good...cant wait for all the "but he blocks" takes.
  13. 911? All the time. Family heath issues and injuries, witnessing a dangerous driver on the parkway, fires, witness to criminal activity, car accidents, bike accidents, my chicken takeout was overcooked, etc.
  14. Absolute TITAN. As "big" and as influential as any musician that has ever lived, as far as Im concerned.
  15. Thoughts on "waiting"? Personally, I hate it. If the green flag is down, you race. Also...the Tour's over...and you cant convince me that Tadej ISNT a giant juicebag.
  16. My friends and I were discussing Phil and I think hes lost a lot off his fastball BUT the loss of his partner, Sherwin is what truly has hurt him. Roll just isnt the same as Paul as an anaylist, who was just so brilliant discussing race tactics. I agree on Visma. They are all over the place. Super aggressive, which is good I guess. But that plays into what Tadej likes to do. They have the stronger team and UAE is now down a man...so whats with the aggressive chaotic racing? The idea that they are going to "tire" Tadej aint gonna work. And the Healy story is great. But EF will lose him if his contract is up....they dont have the money.
  17. I have to ask...what was climbing MV like? Becuase its hell on Zwift, I cant imagine in real life. And Thomson tours is definitely the best in the business!
  18. Anyone here follow along with pro cycling's "super bowl" and have thoughts on Pogi, Jonas, MVP, Quinn Simmons, Visma's tactics or how washed up Phil Liggett is?
  19. My first show was at Nassau Coliseum, Spring of 92. I knew NOTHING of this band. I worked in college radio and "hired" a guy...now my best friend...to do a Dead Show. He hooked up with Dennis McNally and got an interview with Bob Bralove, who was managing the band's hi-tech stuff in the 90s and he decided to bring me. We did the interview in NYC and then McNally took us backstage pre-show! Met Mickey and Vince but didnt see anyone else. Got THISCLOSE to Phil's rig and Mickey's beam. We wondered out to the front and the carpets on Jerry's side and were quickly told "nobody goes on the carpets" and we quickly retreated. Then we left, off to the parking lot for a typical pre-show. "Eat this" my friend said and that was that. Show started with a nice Greatest Story and everyone was dancing and I was like...this is weird. I was a metalhead at the time...still am...and Im used to an entire crowd trying to kill each other...not dance togehter. Finally Jerry did Jed and with me now in orbit from what my friend fed me...when Jerry sang "My Doggie turned to me and he said lets get back to Tennessee, Jed!", I just thought to myself "OK, I get it." And on the bus I was. There is A LOT of the "Dead Show Vibe" at Bills game tailgates. The crazy big crowds, everyone walking around, different little "events" and places to visit happening all over the place, and of course everyone walking en masse up Abbot into the game reminds me so much of walking into a Dead show. I know Im in the minority but I have no interest in The Sphere. First off, its Vegas which isnt my vibe for anything, much less a Dead show and second, I like to watch the band, itself and rarely have any use for the "graphics" any band puts up on the screens. YMMV.
  20. Ill put 89 up there as one of the best years. That entire RFK show from Philly is bananas. Although I didnt get on the bus, myself until 92 I got to 8 Grateful Dead-proper shows. What an event they always were. And same..but to a little bit of a lesser extent, were all the shows from all the iterations of the band that came after 1995. I like D+C a lot, even moreso with Lane on drums becuase...lets face it...Billy was kinda done.
  21. As a Knicks fan, I wouldnt mind liking Haliuburton but that choke thing he did was over the line. I hate the fact that the Knicks have such a terrible home court, despite how much the organision thinks they dont becuase a lot of celebs go to games.
  22. Im dissastisfied with my job, but that's solely based on the fact "Im too old for this..." has become a mainstay of my personal vernacular.
  23. Oh good, a new WR for Josh to ignore. 🤪
  24. I feel he should have went harder after Beane there. That was the time.
  25. Jeremy White bases his whole radio personna on a "WR TRAIN" and when the topic comes up direct with the GM, he folds. THAT was his opportunity to speak direct to the GM about the fact this WR room is substandard compared to virtually every other top team in the league. And he whiffed. This is what happens when you have a press corps thats a social club full of fanboys/girls. Jeremy doesnt want to lose access to the club room with the good sushi, I guess.
