  1. If Im correct, some of these people are no longer with us.
  2. It is a point of pride for sure. It will stick in my craw a little bit if its now a "shared" record, yes. That said...while the four losses hurt, that era as a whole is a source of pride and great, fun memories for the Bills and their fans. We got to watch about ten hall of fame players in their prime, including some all time greats like Bruce Smith, on the same team at once for almost a decade. And the game day party in Orchard Park was off the hook. Outside of those four lousy Sundays, it was the best and that record being tied or falling will never change that.
  3. As many of you know, the original "mafia" was: THE SPANDEX MAFIA I still ride lots BTW. Road, mountain, fixie, you name it. Anyone want to discuss all things cycling, Im your huckleberry.
  4. How nice... https://nypost.com/2025/10/29/us-news/zohran-mamdanis-mom-said-he-is-not-an-american-at-all-in-2013-interview/
  5. Very happy for Grape Davis. And also to Thermos Thomas. The wobbleberries dont stand a chance.
  6. My mom had a stroke and then my father passed in short order this Spring. My mom is now home with a live in aide. She just needs "supervision" more than she needs full time assistance but we all agree its for the best. 24/7 aids are bloody expensive. Youre looking at like $300-$400 a DAY. We are hoping to get her on Medicaid to help out or maybe do assisted living, which would actually be cheaper when you take the house expenses into account. But...does my mom want to go to assisted living or stay in the house? Its not an easy decision. I will say that we toured a few AL places with mom and many of them are quite nice and offer a good quality of life. Id honestly rather her go into one of those places than stay in the house. Theres three square meals, activities and other people and things to do that the places arrange and of course the "medical" care she needs. At home shes comfy but its just her and the aide staring at each other all day. Shes told me shes bored to death. Her living with me or my sister wont work, for a multitude of reasons (financial, time considerations, my sanity, etc.). I wish you luck.
  7. I love Dion, we all love Dion, but its safe to say that if Dion was on any other AFC team we would REALLY hate Dion.
  8. An old colleague of mine I keep in touch with is close to the Lutnicks. I told her I want an invite to an event. Or if she goes to steal me a set of silverware.
  9. Even when he was top of his game I never understood the concept of basing the entire defensive philosophy around a nickel corner.
  10. I think the entire Bills ecosphere has spent WAY too much time concerned with this guy's emotions since 2018.
  11. That mysterious injury designation for Hoecht that hes going to pick up in practice today or tomorrow is going to hit like CRACK.
  12. Teams are doing more and more of this stuff. Here is what the NY Mets do for their offseason "fan fest." Its a paid event, too. But look at what you get...panels...autograph sessions, etc. And current and former players attend, including many many of the "legends." A few friends of mine down here have gone and say it was well worth it. https://www.mlb.com/mets/fans/amazin-day
  13. The funniest thing about the maniacs losing their ***** over this "gaudy disgusting, unnecessary" ballroom being built is that it is EXACTLY THE SAME TYPE OF PLACE...right down to the gold chairs and chandeliers, that they DREAM of their children getting married in. For some reason...its OK for their little darlings to get married in such a place but United States State Dinners being held in such a place is somehow...bad. They are also the same folks who blew 3/4 of the money they saved for said wedding and tore apart half their own houses to put in a new kitchen because formica and NOT having a 18' x 20' island with pendant lights that cost 3 grand a piece over it is "eeeewwwww."
  14. "But we have Josh Allen" THATS the whole mindset around the entire org and fanbase.
  15. I paid $700 FACE VALUE for Rush. Very good (not excellent) seat and at MSG. I absolutely cant miss that show so Im forking it over. But, in general the price of admission for events is way over the top, I agree.
  16. That's literally what happened.
  17. Probably a wash. McD's strengths and weaknesses and Marv's have A LOT of parallels. Both are good delegators & leaders of men and strong builders of 'team culture.' Both have implemented very strong overall team "programs." Both are so-so in-game managers.
  18. You cant be serious. Have you seen his work as HC in NYC?
  19. You dont know that. No, we dont. See "Mets, New York."
  20. Daboll and Dorsey and Brady have all run VASTLY different offenses.
  21. IN FOR MSG. Aug 1, Section 105. Told my wife that even if I drop dead on July 30, dont schedule my funeral for Aug 1 because Im going to this show no matter what. I AM SO HAPPY.
  22. Looking forward to tonight's iteration of the Trent Edwards offense. Listen man....whoever scores the most points is gonna win. Bank it.
  23. As a Mets fan I relish my Yankee hatred as much as the next guy. But the Jays are REALLY overplaying this whole "Daaa Yankees lose" thing. Youre playing the Mariners now, dummies. To go to the World Series. Very hateable team.
  24. The old boy is going home (sort of). Next time Im in Ellicotville Ill hit you up.
  25. Fair point. There have now been a lot of critiques from OUTSIDE the org that the Bills' offense and defensive approaches are dated.
