  1. Butler has been training with Megatron recently, which can only help.
  2. I was thinking about that, but could an NFL team make an offer to a player and then ask that they stop playing in order to avoid injury? I am assuming/hoping, they took that into consideration from the beginning. I am willing to bet NFL coaches are watching Spurrier to see if they can take anything from his play book to incorporate it into the NFL. He is so fun to watch on the sideline.
  3. It will be interesting to see how many players get a shot in the NFL after this "audition". If several players are able to make the transition back to the NFL, it will bring in more talent for future seasons. I just hope NFL teams don't pluck players off of rosters mid season, it would suck to be cheering for a team and then have them lose their best players half way through. But if they handle it correctly, players making NFL rosters straight from the AAF, will make that league even more relevant.
  4. They mentioned earlier that 80% of these players have played in the NFL. That is pretty cool. I like how they keep talking about their previous NFL and college experience throughout the game.
  5. I’d be cool with that. Coincidentally, my wife and kids are at that game right now and I asked her to pick me up an Apollo shirt. I am officially a fan.
  6. He deserves another shot. They said he turned down a futures contract in order to play here and prove himself.
  7. He can kiss the NFL goodbye. He has looked awful so far this year. Gilbert on the other hand looks like an NFL back up. (Meant as a compliment)
  8. If a tree falls in the forest... If a player is re-instated but no NFL team wants him, is he really an NFL player? If he really cared about football, he'd be in the AAF right now, proving that he can still play.
  9. I saw a story saying the Jets are questioning his conditioning. Most likely trying to drive the price down. You know he will be looking for fully guaranteed just like Antonio Brown. Very risky for an RB.
  10. I just saw Teddy Bruschi talk about this on ESPN and he was legitimately emotional. He said his son heard about it first and asked him what prostitution was. As much as I dislike that team, this is a tough moment for those that are a part of the "family".
  11. Schefter just said that supposedly, Robert Kraft is not the "biggest name" involved. Speculated that this story will get even bigger. hmmmm....
  12. You know that TMZ has an army of people out there trying to get their hands on that video as we speak. It is just a matter of time...
  13. so you don't care about victims of human trafficking? That's a bold statement.
  14. FINALLY! Something in the news about the Patriots* that doesn't annoy the crap out of me.
  15. you mean it's not short hand for "not a thing"?
  16. Until we get better, they will always have at least a two game advantage over us from a strength of schedule perspective. Hopefully that starts to change this season.
  17. accommodations involve a hole in the ground and plenty of lotion to put on your skin...
  18. This is the "process" WR that I hope we draft. Originally projected to go in round 6 or 7, but I believe he will go in 3-4 once the combine, etc is complete. Keelan Doss School: UC Davis Position: Wide Receiver Class: Senior Height: 6’3 Weight: 206 Projected Draft Round: 3-5 Scouting Report: Out of the box ready to play NFL type receiver that runs exceptional routes and understands the subtle aspects of the passing game. Burner for a big man, and can create separation by running past defenders, and wins contested balls. Hits the ball at its highest point and fights for every catch. Very mature, and has superb character and leadership skills. Electrifying small school Burner Looks to Fly up Boards. Keelan Doss of UC Davis is big physical wideout that will win the 50/50 ball battle. Runs flawless routes has quick body movement works his way open or just out jumps the competition with his awe inspiring grabs and his incredibly strong reliable hands. Can split the secondary with his athletic tough style, make the big plays in tight coverage with his quick short area movements great handwork , perception along with tremendous timing. Great vertical can highpoint the ball out jumping defenders or just plain outclassing them. Size speed combo every OC is in search for. Long arms, amazing extension too pluck balls out the air. Can also go down low to make the tough grab on underthrown passes or on come back routes. His production exploded in 2017 and he will look to improve on his amazing JR season. Plays with a Chip on his shoulder because Cal Davis was the only College to recruit him out of H.S. https://www.nfldraftdiamonds.com/2018/08/keelan-doss/
  19. For the record, I have no issue with the NFL not bringing Rice back. I am just using him as an example to say I am surprised they caved on the Kaepernick lawsuit because it is a bad precedent that could open a can of worms.
