I have heard “experts” say Simmons is a top 5 talent without the injury and personal issues prior to college. Someone will take the risk and be rewarded after he “red-shirts” this year.
Before the season this year, he was being talked about as a top 3 pick. His injury and the sideline issue hurt his "draft status" but in reality, he still has top 3 level talent.
My 5 round mock. I'd be very happy with those first few rounds:
9: R1P9
DL QUINNEN WILLIAMS
ALABAMA
40: R2P8
WR DK METCALF
OLE MISS
74: R3P10
RB DAVID MONTGOMERY
IOWA STATE
112: R4P10
G BEAU BENZSCHAWEL
WISCONSIN
131: R4P29
EDGE SHAREEF MILLER
PENN STATE
147: R5P9
LB TRE LAMAR
CLEMSON
158: R5P20
WR HUNTER RENFROW
CLEMSON
Kay Adams just went off about this on GMFB. She said the Bills were screwed over by not getting any primetime games and said Thanksgiving barely counts. She said the other QB's from Allen's draft class (Darnold, Mayfield and Jackson) got a combined 10 primetime games and that Allen has earned more national attention than he is receiving. She even pulled out a Josh Allen autographed jersey during her rant. I appreciate the attention that show gives the Bills.
My new WR sleeper pick is Cody Thompson from Toledo. (I also love Keelan Doss from UC Davis) I saw Thompson on Good Morning Football today and he was great. I have since watched his highlights and think he would be a great late round grab at WR. Former QB who is a great route runner and pretty elusive after the catch. Also a very good special teamer from what I've seen.

So I just watched the 2017 TD highlight reel and out of all of his touchdowns, only 1 or 2 were really contested. He gets crazy separation and has soft hands, but that kind of separation is hard to find in the NFL.
