  1. Well, he may have, I'm not sure how far the conspiracy goes...
  2. This is a strange year for mock drafts. Usually there is some consistency between most of them, but this year is strange. you will see a player mocked in the top 10 on one list and then late in round 2 in another (like TJ Hockensen. #51 here, but Daniel Jeremiah has him at #8) There seems to be more of that this year than usual.
  3. no, the Pats* will be the ones to tank in 2021.
  4. This would be a great trade for us, but of course trades are hard to predict accurately. That being said, I would love to see something like this happen.
  5. I have always loved Wade, but if he can find a way to get his Defense to hit Brady a lot and shut down that Offense, I will love him even more.
  6. I get your point, but isn't that better than him getting tackled behind the line of scrimmage or losing out on the 50/50 balls? There were some great hands catches in the highlights I saw (especially that 1 handed grab!) I have been wondering why he has been so polarizing, so thank you for shedding some light on the counter-point.
  7. HELL yes on Henderson. Alpha, this would be an amazing four rounds. Why are some people so down on Harry? From what I've seen, he looks like a beast.
  8. Anyone predicting next seasons records before the draft, free agency etc is just making a wild guess based on last years team. Waste of time.
  9. To be honest, I thought I had read that back when he had his run in over the jacket but after searching for it again, I did not see anything to this effect, so I retract that remark. (the comment may have been more about his "unwillingness" to play through his injury last season thank his effort in games) Certainly from the couple of times I've seen him play, along with the highlight video that is out there, he appears to go full speed and not give up from what I have seen. He seems like a player who could make a serious impact, as long as his size does not have a negative effect on his play in the NFL.
  10. I have a feeling we will do something along these lines. Make our pick at 9 and then trade back into the late first for a WR. Good call.
  11. So this got me wondering. What is the reason that they don't convert another lineman on the active roster to long snapper to save a roster spot? Is it that the skill set is so difficult to learn or is it that too much practice has to go into that spot, which would take away from that players "main" job? I am assuming long snapper is a specialist for every team, not just an additional duty for another player on the roster. Does anyone use an actual position player (not just one in title) rather than a specialist?
  12. and Keelan Doss in round 5 or 6. (my new late round crush)
  13. The benefit of building a team with a good culture is that you can add a player or two with a sketchy history and count on your team leaders keeping him on the right path. That being said, aside from some questions about him taking off plays, I never heard much about him being an issue, until his run in with Applewhite. Everyone deserves a pass, but if it helped him drop to us at 9, we owe Major A. a big thank you.
  14. I have heard rumors that the Giants are high on Drew Lock. I am praying this is true, but it is probably draft misdirection. But damn, if they took Lock at 6 it would completely shake up the first round, hopefully in our favor.
  15. Still working on getting it done as far as I know. Strong interest on both sides according to Phillips.
  16. I guess even starting the season with the same group we ended the previous season with is a step in the right direction. I look forward to the day we have the same Offensive line from one season to the next. (not this group though)
  17. For the record, I'd be happy with this. He is very talented, and at one point considered a top 3 pick before his run in with Major Applewhite. I prefer OL or WR, but if Oliver is on the board at 9, he is the BPA in my opinion. I just re-watched some of his highlights just for a refresher, and man can that guy move for a guy his size. He is fast off the ball and relentless in his pursuit. He would absolutely make this Defense better and be fun to watch at the same time.
  18. Did someone tell them this isn't 2018? ?
  19. Spoiler alert. This is similar to the Redskins may want to trade up for a QB thread.
  20. At first I was thinking: Is Antowain Smith still playing?
  21. Wow! I love this. Any chance to learn from a great is priceless. I imagine Allen will jump at the chance! Of course, he will consider if the advise is applicable, but if it is, why not listen to someone who’s been there at a high level.
  22. After watching the Senior Bowl and taking a closer look, I really hope the Bills end up drafting Keelan Doss from UC Davis. He is a great route runner with good size and decent speed. He is currently projected as a 6-7 rounder but my guess is that he will move up during the draft process. If he is available in the 4th round, I hope we run to the podium. He is a great Beane and McDermott type player. Team leader who had an opportunity to transfer to a bigger school in his senior year for more exposure, but he chose to stay at UC Davis to continue helping grow their program. https://www.nfldraftdiamonds.com/2018/08/keelan-doss/ “He came back for us,” said Jake Maier, the Aggies’ junior quarterback. “He could’ve been selfish, he could’ve left and took his talents to the NFL or even (Football Bowl Subdivision) ball, but he decided that we were more important than that, so just from that action alone, that makes him one of the best leaders I’ve ever been around.” The 6-foot-3 captain isn’t only one of the best leaders that Maier’s seen, he may also be one of the best student-athletes that UC Davis coach Dan Hawkins has ever had. Doss, who will graduate in December with a sociology degree, was recently named to the STATS Football Championship Subdivision preseason All-America first team after a record-setting season in 2017. The 2017 Big Sky Offensive Player of the Year set all-time UC Davis records with 115 receptions and 1,499 receiving yards, while being ranked No. 1 in both the FCS and FBS in receiving yards, receiving yards per game (136.3) and receptions per game (10.5). “It’s hard to find a small guy that runs like him, let alone a big guy,” Hawkins said, “so he’s a matchup problem with his size and … no offense because I’ve coached some really good players, but I just think you start looking at grades and size and speed and you start putting all that stuff together, he’s pretty darn special.” Read more here: https://www.sacbee.com/sports/college/article216123390.html#storylink=cpy
