Of course not. But it’s hard to explain the feeling of someone calling You certain words. Like it’s hard for someone who isn’t that background to ever get what getting called the n word or the c word can do to you. I grew up that If you take ?, you get hit. But isn’t that the whole point of the article? I think the people skeptical over Allen aren’t making it personal. A 56% passer from Wyoming 99/100 times isn’t going to be a good nfl qb. If Allen makes it, it is an extremely rare exception and the Bills are geniuses. If not, they will look dumb for ignoring the obvious flaws. Let’s hope he is the exception to the rule.

Allen was 8-19 passing for 160 yards and 75 came on one play. Not exactly like Allen was carving him up. but why players say anything before games is beyond me. What Allen has been really good about is not responding and just playing the game. We are a better team than Denver so just win as a team. The worse thing Allen could do is go in full gunslinger mode and try to win the game himself, which might be what Harris is trying to get him to do.

Duke is an awesome name! I mean it would be great if we had a bigger receiver who was good. But we do get obsessed with players who just might not be good enough to play in the nfl. (Mike Jasper, that wr from Nebraska, that dude from Miami of Ohio, Jeff Tuel - he had a td drive in a preseason game!). That’s a very simplistic way to look at things. There are a lot of other factors to why those numbers look different.

I agree those other games shouldn’t be completely thrown out. But We will learn a ton more about Allen versus the Pats and Cowboys than against a Miami team that was trying to tank.
