Could it be that one throws a more catchable football or perhaps more accurately? Watson has always been a very accurate passer with a high completion %. Allen has not. I think it would interesting to compare the drop rates of the receivers through their careers. Do you think Watson isn’t smart? And Watson plays with the 28th ranked defense. If he doesn’t play well, they lose. I call that pressure. Our defense allows the game to always be tight.

Going with my friends to my brother’s bar. Debating whether to bring the new lady friend around but leaning towards no. He’s so hilarious and exciting. Must be terrible rooting for him but as a non fan, he’s great entertainment. I think some people think we are holding Allen back but I can see him making some of these Jameis throws, good and bad. It’s so hard because you don’t want to take away their aggressiveness but Jameis puts them in some terrible spots.

I think the 2014 and 2004 team were better but clearly the foundation is there. and this stuff is so silly to me but hey if a player gets motivated by it, it’s a good thing.

Yeah I don’t either. I don’t see him as a head coach (he’s barely a quality OC IMo). Sad part is if the Browns hire the right coach, they could be good right away. But they won’t.

Disagree with your Dallas comparison completely. They beat NE and KC on the road and won 10 games. Dallas beat no good teams besides the Rams and won 8 games in a crap division. The Texans are just inconsistent and have a suspect defense without Watt. It’s so hard to predict what Texans team will show up. but as others have said, take away Hopkins and let the other guys on offense try to beat you. Get pressure on Watson and control the clock on offense. Make it an ugly short game.

I get Fuller especially has talent. But it’s meaningless if you can’t stay healthy. Again, he’s averaged 500 yards/ season. And Hyde was barely in the NFL at the start of the season.

Eh, I was on the train that Wentz was overrated but he carried a garbage team to the playoffs. He was awesome down the stretch. Really impressed me.

With all due respect, what’s the point of these post? Honestly, I read this thread and haven’t been as proud of Bills fans as I am right now. Personally, I think if you make fun of an entire region of people, you are probably a loser. But donating money to a great cause and rising about pettiness is the best way to handle the situation. Hyde is having his best season because he benefits from playing with Watson. No one fears Hyde. They fear the Texans passing attack so Hyde rarely sees 8 guys in the box. He is a dime a dozen rb. and I agree Fuller is talent but he can’t stay healthy and averages 500 yards/ season. Hard to say a guy like that is a major reason for Watson’s success.

I mean it’s kinda stupid every team playing the Texans don’t have the same thought process. The thing with Watson is he will throw at White so White will have more chances to make plays than he does most games.

Hap, you are touting Hyde (who has been passed around the league like a hockey puck and just has the best season of his career with Watson) and Fuller (he averages like 500 yards a season because he is as durable at Glass Goodwin) as major reasons for Watson’s success? it’s great to be hikers but it’s also ok to be objective and realistic. We are comparing Allen to a guy who is off to one of the greatest qb starts in nfl history, who is at times a top 5 qb after being one of the greatest college qbs ever. He is absolutely much better than Allen at this point. Luckily, it takes more than one player to win a game and the Bills might be better as a team than the Texans. But some of these posts are out there.

Houston had a worst o line. That’s why they traded a 1st for LT. the bills spent a ton of money on olive help. Why isn’t it better? So does our GM nit good enough? again, no other fanbase would even debate this. It’s pretty dumb at this point. Watson was a college legend against Alabama and Allen wasn’t even All MWC. Huh? He got hurt his first year and lost last year. How many does Allen have? What’s the point of this? you guys realize football is a team game. You don’t think Watson would have benefited playing with the number 3 defense instead of the number 28 one like Houston is ranked? its cool to love our guy but Watson and Allen are asked to do different things. It’s like Mahomes last year. He had the second worst defense in the nfl but he must be a loser because he couldn’t get them to the SB.

Happy new year. I’m trying not to get in as many pointless debates this year. Literally the only place where Watson won’t crush Allen in this poll is on a Bills board. The guy who was a legend in college is off to a HOF start. Maybe Allen will get there but there’s no comparison at this point. Allen is a big play game manager on a win with defense, conservative team. Watson has to carry a very flawed team every week. so while Watson and Allen isn’t that close, the Bills might have the better team and that’s all that matters on Saturday. Cheers.

Oh I agree. I’ve never booed player. It’s weird that some fans just get so reckless when they talk to other grown men (this wasn’t that bad). but the world would be better if you talked ?, get hit. Yeah, let’s just pretend Watson also wasn’t amazing in college as well. Bills love to dismiss the talent of other qbs while they make every excuse for their own. Watson has had a garbage o line, garbage rbs, and now an average at best defense. He’s really really good.
