First half Josh was the guy I doubted he would ever be. second half was the Josh I worried he will be. i love his effort but if we weren’t Bills fans, we would have laughed at some of those plays. It was straight sandlot and a total roller coaster. I want the Bills to turn him loose to see if he can carry the offense but I worry he might be Jameis Winston with turnovers if they do that. but as critical as I have been about him being picked, dude plays his butt off and genuinely cares. Exactly. People who post stuff like this are distracting from the bigger point. If an Asian or white guy was good enough, they would be playing cb in the nfl (the Rams actually have a half Asian safety). Players are meritocracy. If you good enough, you play. Coaching hires are completely subjective. Pat Shumur has had 2 head coaching jobs! look at the best qbs now. Jackson, Wilson, Mahomes, Watson. There was a time when Warren Moon had to go the cfl to prove himself. So let’s not pretend like there hasn’t been racist in the nfl. Again, I think coaching hires are based on the old boys network more than race based. But statistics in college and nfl show that white men get more of a chance to prove themselves than other minorities.

True but some do it more than others. Sometimes we act like Allen is the only qb that has receivers that drop the ball. I do think Allen has improved but he is still the least accurate starting qb in the nfl after not really being accurate at any other level. We are hopefully getting a stud receiver but if you aren’t a little worried about him ever being consistent enough, you’re not being honest with yourself.

Eh, he is the definition of replacement level. He had 3 sacks before that snooze fest last game all year. He had 4 the year before. He is a “pass rusher” who doesn’t pass rush. He is Chris Kelsey. You can do so much better.

I don’t think he grew up playing football so he is still fairly raw to the game. But it’s not really that uncommon for kickers/ punters to bounce around before finally becoming good.

Yeah, he’s not Brady Brady but it was far more than him. Their wrs kinda sucked, their rbs weren’t good, and their o line had a bunch of injuries. he isn’t the best qb anymore but he can still be pretty good. That’s true. Brady is far better than Manning was at that point.

Josh Allen was Jameis Winston. I loved him in the first half and completely reconsidered every negative concern I had about him. Then in the 2nd half, it showed all the concerns I had about him. I felt like I was on drugs. It was both awesome and depressing at the same time. I do think there was progress but I’m still not sure if he is the future. Next year, hopefully, they will actually draft good receivers -and we can have a better answer going forward. I know he will work his butt off and I can genuinely say Allen is not boring. Of course, a boring qb isn’t the worst thing sometimes. That was a roller coaster.

I don’t Mayfield fits in a Roman offense in the slightest. Guys like Roman and Daboll (who is a lot worse) are OCs at best.

Winston would beat Allen out in camp. He’s absolutely insane but good Winston is one of the best passers in the NFL. Probably is bad Winston shows up too much. So there’s no way they would sign him. Nice of the Bills to sign the MVP of the first Jets game!!! But it’s a good low risk, high upside signing. He has a cannon for a leg. A couple of good teams liked him enough to draft him and trade for him.

I mean we could try and let Allen grow it all over the field and end up with a bunch of bad turnovers and get blown out too. i think Daboll isn’t good but this formula has worked this year. I think the way you beat the Texans is control the clock with long drives. I do think settling for fgs too many times will get you beat.

What is the lot less? Met calf was a 2nd rounder. Lockett has been good for a bunch of years. Carson was better than Ingram last year and they had a 1st round pick. wilson is really good. But people completely overrate what surrounds Lamar. They have Brown, a rookie who gets hurt a lot, and Andrews who was a 3rd round. They have some crappy other receivers.

I don’t hate Polian at all. Just think he looks really bad here. I can’t stand people who can’t admit they are wrong. It’s a character flaw. but there are some rumors about Polian and certain things he may have done to get fired from the Bills. But he did a great job choosing Peyton #1 overall. And then building a team that went 1-15 without him. Because people had strong opinions on him and can’t admit they were wrong. It’s similar to Allen, though he wasn’t talked about switching positions after winning the Heisman.
