  1. He means something when he is the 32nd ranked passer in the nfl and has never been a really been a 60% passer on any level. that said, he can still be really effective if they cater to his strengths. I think there were some good moments this year when they did that. Everything is too strong. There are things like his physical ability, work ethic, and leadership that I have zero questions about. But we are hoping he is going to be a better passer in the nfl than he was in the MWC. I think a lot of posters want to dismiss why he didn’t really dominant at a lower conference the way a top 10 pick should. Especially with his physical tools.
  2. He did and was off to the best passing season of his career before the injuries caught up. Newton also completed 66% of his passes in the SEC. with Allen, everything we want him to be is a projection. It’s like when high school kids were allowed to go straight to the pros.
  3. I don’t think that show is on Bravo (relationships make you watch some bad tv).
  4. Fake weed I’m assuming. Of course, this is normally what I do on a Tuesday sober, so who knows.
  5. Yeah, I actually saw a lot of the Allen comparisons too. I think one of Allen’s best qualities is he seems to be a natural leader. It sucks that it is a weakness to be a thoughtful, quiet guy like how Herbert is viewed but that’s how NfL meatheads think.
  6. Right or wrong, nfl evaluators think Watkins is a far more talented player. Hence why he gets traded for high picks and gets paid a lot by 2 of the best offensive coaches. he will never live up to his draft pick but I wonder if he didn’t play in our high school offense and hurt his foot, what he could have been. Oh wel, we get to watch him in the SB.
  7. I think some of you completely overrate the large market thing. It’s the nfl. Markets don’t matter. But the 2 rings are getting him in no matter where he played. He still wasn’t that good.
  8. I still don’t believe in Tanneyhill but I never got why they didn’t use Drake. I even had him as a keeper in fantasy football and I’m like a fantasy football genius (women love it!).
  9. I hate doing the whole school thing but has an Oregon qb ever been good in the nfl?
  10. We have Trent Murphy. We’re all set.
  11. Dude probably killed multiple people and played in the SB. Crazy. nfl would give him a 2 game suspension.
  12. Warner was at pointS of his career in the conversation for best qb in the nfl. He had some all time great years. I agree with this but it devalues the HOF IMO. I think Gore had like 2 years where he was a dominant player. It should be about greatness. It’s like Harold Baines being a HOFer.
  13. True but this isn’t like a Hernandez situation. Odds are some Bills player will do something dumb in the offseason. I don’t think that should reflect on the team. That said, there are teams like the Cowboys and bengals that keep signing scumbags.
  14. Such a waste of time. The best part is it’s probably a painkiller or some weed. But at least it’s not the devil’s lettuce! I mean I hate the Pats but at some point, when do you stop being responsible for grown men making bad decisions? And honestly, how much of the population does the same extra thing on a daily basis?
  15. I guess I did forgot about that. You’re right. He Joe Flacco’d those years. so is Flacco a HOFer? I think Dave’s made some good points about his postseason play. But how many times was ELi consider a top 10 qb, much less top 5?
  16. Probably the best thing on his resume. Good point.
  17. This isn’t even close to being right. MS’s stats are way better across the board. 2 lucky wild card runs saved Eli’s career.
  18. All pros is the way to go.but he never made one all pro and only 4 pro bowls in 16 years! Was he ever in the conversation for a MVP? he will get in but he wasn’t that good.
  19. Yuck if he’s a first ballot HOF. He was a stat complier. He just played in a lot of games. I know it’s a team stat but should a qb with a .500 record be a first ballot HOF? This would be like Matt Stafford going to the HOF.
  20. I got slack for it but I don’t think Gore is a HOFer. How many years was Gore a dominant player? The HOFer is supposed to be for the greatest players of all time. Gore and Eli aren’t close to the greatest players of all time.
  21. I’m really sorry about your friend. And it is the society that we live in were we care less and less about people. the only thing I’ll say about AB is genuinely seems to treat people like crap and that they are beneath him. I feel terrible for his kids.
  22. I don’t see a major FA signing. This cap room is about to go fast once these young players are up to get paid.
  23. I agree with one and I liked AJ much, much better. DK landed in the perfect situation. Yeah, I loved Herbert but there’s a bunch of talk that he’s a super passive guy. Sometimes I think that’s BS but I generally think your qb should be the leader of your franchise. There also were very few games he seemed to take over.
  24. Trent Murphy makes me appreciate Chris Kelsay. and eli is one of the most overrated players in nfl history. But because he “won” 2 SBs with the luckiest runs in nfl history (I remember the Bills played the Giants at the Ralph and he fumbled like 7 times and all my giant fan friends wanted he benched and then he won the SB in a few weeks), he’s a lock. But he will go down with Terry Bradshaw as the worst qbs to ever win multiple SBs. Seemed like a nice guy though and made a lot of money.
  25. Fair points but this is why comparisons from different eras are misleading. Allen completed 58.8% of his passes and was in 32nd place (the leader Brees completed 74.3%). In 2003, Brees completed 57.6% (his only year where he started a game under 69%) and was 18th while the leader was at 67%. It’s a completely different league.
