  1. I said after the opening Boston loss I'd can him if the team doesn't earn 4+ points in the remaining three games of the homestand. Well they earned 4 so I guess I need to give him the road trip to see what happens. I think we can all agree Phil is a good man. He's a solid assistant coach. I just don't think he's head coach material. Botts took a shot with him and it isn't working yet. This team should be better than it is. They need more of a leader and motivator. I'd love to see them turn it around and be wrong. In game 1, he comes on afterwards and says Boston was desperate...yeah I knew that going in how does that sneak up on the Sabres? He should of had them ready. Last night vs. Colorado the leaders in the room say it was a poor couple days of practice and they came out flat. How?? Why? that can't happen.
  2. I think Shady gets moved. And not sure how the team will react to that? Hard to think anyone would take it as a positive move. Other than Allen who is unproven, the Bills would literally have anonymous offensive personnel. Its almost unheard of for an NFL team.
  3. JA needs to stop playing timid in the pocket and start slinging it like he can. He's too worried about making the perfect read, perfect pass.. You watch, in about a week or two Chad Kelly will replace Case Keenum and he will not hold back. I'd rather have a gunslinger than a guy that's trying to be mechanical and overthinking everything..
  4. I'm fine with the vow or whatever. Just show me a few highlight reel plays before the end of the season that are from passing. That's all I ask. I don't want his best plays to be running because that's not sustainable or showing NFL QB development.
  5. I get that none of the big names want to be in Buf. Still kinda shake my head that the team released guys like O'Leary and Rod Streater. Not that our record would we any better, but the team desperately needs some possession receivers on the field. Those guys knew the system and could have contributed more than Robert Foster, Logan Thomas, etc..., Right?!?
  6. We rarely win in the white over blue pants but we did once last year. It might have been @ KC when I was sure they’d lose. So all hope is not lost.
  7. As I mentioned in another thread, Jake Locker was picked #8 overall in 2011. He was a project. Really athletic, but the knock on him in college was inaccuracy. He ultimately failed and retired early.
  8. I was at the game, saw his punt return and was thinking that was one of the fastest white dudes I’ve seen. Well besides baseball’s Trea Turner. That guy is a burner too.
  9. Good to see a hot girl attends UB.
  10. I mostly agree that you stick with JA and hope the game slows down for him and he grasps NFL defenses, hot reads, accuracy, and how to manage the pocket...etc... However, if you are McBeane, you might be thinking after the AFC South gauntlet we have some big-boy games vs, New England on MNF and Chicago in back to back weeks. First off, as is today, they can't score enough to keep up with New England. And they may not be able to move the ball much at all vs a tough Bears D. They don't want to be embarrassed on MNF so if Allen is coming off more putrid passing games maybe Anderson gets some of that game.. and possibly Chicago as well.
  11. Right now Allen is a taller version of Jake Locker, which is bad, because I hated Jake Locker's game in college and in the pros. He was not all that accurate in college and I never saw that getting better in the NFL. Tennessee finally benched him after he ran too much and finally got himself injured, and ultimately ended up on inured reserve.
  12. Ok for the QB meeting room but I will not be pleased if Derek Anderson plays
  13. This. every team and coaching staff in the NFL is about winning. If it means 10-9 victories every week so be it. They need more throws to Ray Ray like they did late. Rodgers did about 7 of those passes against Buffalo. Allen needs more three step drop and bam, just release it. Maybe it’s only a 5 yd gain but take it. He’s not good yet at standing back there for 4 seconds and scanning the field. The receivers rarely get separation and he’s not going to throw into a tiny window yet. Take a predetermined shot downfield when the defense alignment looks vulnerable
  14. I’m sure the Bills players love reading how they are regarded as NFL’s least talented players. There’s some motivation right there. I bet they get pissed hearing that stuff.
  15. our man didn’t get sacked much, run backwards or throw a terrible pick (it was mainly on the WR). So all in all wasn’t a bad day, just wasnt overly productive. It would be nice, however, to see Allen throw a highlight reel pass one of these weeks. We haven’t see one in a few games
  16. Of the 4 rookie QBs, Baker looks awfully dang good on the Browns. Darnold has some receivers around him and looks solid. Rosen the jury is still out but he’s on a not so good club. Allen looks raw and missing on some easy throws, but my gosh, I have never seen an NFL team with a worse group of receivers in my life. Not one threat
  17. Sitting at the stadium watching warm ups. The Bills looked jacked today. They’re all pumped up and ready to play/hit. I feel pretty good about this one.
  18. The difference thus far between this years team and last years is they have a better goalie now. But their puck possession is weak and they give up lots of quality chances. That’s a recipe for another. Non-playoff season
  19. Could not understand the move to cut O’Leary. Why would the Bills need a reliable possession receiver anyway?? They have Logan Thomas. Ugh!
  20. Housley just hasn't earned the right to be given the benefit of the doubt. The Sabres weren't supposed to be horrible last season and he coached them to dead last place. They start out this season, home opener, with these great additions to the lineup and enthusiasm from the city and they lay an egg. I agree with the folks that say he sounds like a disappointed dad, more than a leader of men. I was reading a stat this morning that said the Sabres dating back to the end of last season have lost 5 straight overall, and lost 6 in a row on home ice, including 3 shutouts. They must win two of the next three home game on this homestand. If not, things get ugly. If they lose all 4, Botts will furious and Housley won't see the west coast trip.
  21. Hey, we're 1-0 this season without McCoy !!
  22. I agree. I told my buddy this morning if they start the season with a dud and don’t get at least 4 points on this 4 game homestand, Phil is gone. He sucks as a coach
  23. I've dabbled over the past decade in buying-reselling tix at other NFL stadiums. The lack of interest in attending NFL games is not unique to Buffalo. It's not just because of a poor product on the field. Unless it's the biggest games on the schedule, even the big name teams have tickets for Face (or below) and the demand is way way down. I stopped doing it altogether.
  24. The home team is coming off a blowout road loss. The Away team is coming in off a huge emotional win over a favored opponent. Usually in the NFL, this is automatic....take the home team + points to rebound and play a tough game. Titans 20 Bills 17
  25. So glad I didn’t renew for this season. Gave em up after 12 years. my only regret is I bought tickets for this Titans game two weeks before the season started. I shoulda waited. Some lucky reseller got slightly above face value off me which I’m sure they were happy about.
