Thanksgiving GDT: Bears vs. Lions at 12:30 PM ET on CBS
zow2 replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Chase Daniel almost got his head taken off. These QBs are obviously going to slide feet first and the defenders are still just dying to hit them. When it comes to journeymen QBs, Matt Barkley looks better than Daniel. -
Thanksgiving GDT: Bears vs. Lions at 12:30 PM ET on CBS

Yep. And he’s still just as thin as I remember. I was lucky enough to have sideline passes for warm ups one game. I remember thinking at the time, man that’s the skinniest DE ever. He looked like a tall WR. -

Look how Cousins played vs. Buffalo and compare how Andrew Luck plays. One is a franchise QB one racks up decent numbers but is not -

Jalen Ramsey doubles down on Josh Allen “trash” comments
zow2 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Jeez, this guy has set himself up to take the most crap from Bills fans while entering New Era and on the sidelines. Of course he gets a rusty Josh Allen coming off an injury and not even close to tapping in to what he will be someday. Just hoping Allen can make a few plays that are noteworthy and burn this clown. -
It was a fun game to watch. I'm not going to be negative about the lack of D. Just enjoy it. The defense on both teams actually made some big plays too. As much as teams might want to copy KC, LA and NO, it's not gonna happen. Even those teams get slowed down once in a while. The Chiefs at home don't seem to ring up those kinds of numbers. I think it's just one of those years where everything is going right offensively. What really impresses me about the Rams is their pace. They get up to the line quickly and are so organized in what they want to do. That's McVay. He's the man.

I always feel like with a high draft choice (QB) he gets two full seasons to prove it. So yes, if he does not pan out, the club loses for 2 years. I thought Trubisky sucked last year, but this year it's starting to click. he doesn't make the right decisions 100% of the time (none of them do), but he's pretty good and should only get better. It gets complicated if/when the backup comes in and makes the offense click better than the high draft pick. But usually that backup has a known ceiling, and it's not as high as the potential ceiling for the young guy.

Thoughts on not making Anthony Lynn our HC?
zow2 replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I liked Lynn but i was more hoping we'd hire Frank Reich. At the time i recall Frank being interviewed. -
I do see the importance of starting Allen. Unfortunately there's no playoff chase so McD has real live games to evaluate Allen which is critical. HOWEVER, was it critical for Pat Mahomes to get a bunch of games last season? Sure doesn't look like it. On the flip side, McD is trying to win games, maintain team morale and put his club in the best position to get victories. What if the Bills are down to the Jags 13-3 at halftime this weekend and mainly because the QB is doing absolutely nothing (he's missing receivers high and low, running himself into sacks, etc..). The fans boo them off the field.. It's a tough call for the coach when you know a guy on the sidelines has more experience & confidence...and might be able to see things and move the club better. So yes, I'm ok with Allen starting...but it wouldn't surprise me one bit if the Bills announce late in the week that Josh is being rested one more week and that "he's real close, just not quite yet"..

Lol yeah. I Only grew up 5 mins from North campus, went there, had season tix in the worst of times and have followed the teams for 40+ years. But ok, not a real fan. say your peace.

Some people just love to focus on penalties, etc,, Clearly this was a game that penalties didn't matter one bit. I didn't look at the box score but I'm guessing Ohio got nearly 700 yards of offense. Did the UB defense even cause one negative play for Ohio? it was incredible. That was such an a$$-kicking that it was like watching Alabama demolish Gardner-Webb or something. The shine is off the season for me. Really good teams don't get beaten down like that.
-
After last night I'm kinda' concerned that UB can even be competitive in a MAC Championship and a Bowl game? NIU is solid and whoever they play in a 3rd tier Bowl game will be pretty good. That loss was so lopsided I feel like UB was exposed and shown to be a bit of a fraud with their 9-1 record. We'll see. If they really are good the Bowling Green game shouldn't even be close. But let's remember, it's the MAC.. That Ohio team we saw last night barely beat Kent State 27-26. It was crazy to see how many UB defenders bounced off that guy. Either he was greased up with vaseline or he simply cannot be brought down on first contact. He should be playing for Army.

Tyree has regressed imo. He was getting hyped as maybe a future first round draft pick coming into this season. Midway through this season he was maybe a 2nd day pick. Now he looks like a day 3 pick at best. His accuracy has been terrible this season
-
The Bulls are actually trying. But they are being completely outclassed. Hey maybe this scares away the Leipold suitors, if he had any. He had to be a hot coaching name coming into this.
-
Embarrassing effort. We knew Ohio would be the more desperate team but jeez. Tyree is horribly inaccurate too. Maybe they just need to ground and pound, mix in some high % passes.
-
I told the board when they signed this dude that he sucked and was overrated. His Redskins teammates hated him. His stone hands and lack of effort on a couple plays vs. Chicago and NYJ was almost Kelvin Benjamin-like.

Sorry, not football: UB takes down #13 WV in BB, on the road
zow2 replied to dollars 2 donuts's topic in College Football
The UB story is great. Get ready, however, to strap in for some tough games. I think their opponents are going to really be pumped up to beat the #25 Bulls. Especially the local teams (Canisius & Bona). -
That would be cool for him, but I don't think he gets another opportunity. The 5-INT game against the Chargers and it never got much better. He would not be well received anywhere.
-
I don’t get it. What went wrong? wishing him the best

Speculation locally in Maryland is that the Terrapins football team will go hard after him to be their head coach in 2019. They'd like to start fresh this offseason and Harbaugh wouldn't even have to move. But that's assuming Harbaugh would even be interested in coaching at the college level. It is Big10 though, but MD is a little stepchild in that conference at the moment.

Ronald Darby Tore ACL. Done for the Season
zow2 replied to JerseyBills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Darby was rated in the Top-30 of cornerbacks this season and they play New Orleans next weekend. This is a brutal loss for the Eagles.
