Offseason Trade Prediction: We acquire Saquan
zow2 replied to Alphadawg7's topic in The Stadium Wall
Why does this thread exist? I would not want Saquan here. He’s injury riddled. He’s not the same -
No weekday, pregame or postgame stuff… just turning on the games and watching. Might actually be therapeutic to watch with zero stress, knowing the other fan bases involved are dying inside with every play.
-
It’s the NFL. Talent wins not necessarily character.
-
The team was 0-6 in one score games. That can’t be dumb luck, they were flawed. The entire offseason should be spent trying to correct it.
-
In 2022, you're better off having a great offense and an adequate defense. I'd spend $$ continuing to upgrade this offense and make it perform at the highest level it possibly can.
-
I love some of you… but I hate this site right now

The Bills couldn’t hold TWO leads inside the final 1:50 of the game, and they allowed an easy walkoff TD drive in OT to cap it off. Lets face it, KC was a little better in the end. It wasn’t all that fluky…. like the stupid Music City play all those years ago. It doesn’t make it easier to accept the loss, but we didn’t implode, the Chiefs just took it. And their coaches/players in crunch time were smarter than our D side. -
Well, I think Dan Hanzus summed up the season pretty well for me

Just another heart breaking playoff loss where we Buffalo fans have to be gracious losers in a game that will be talked about for generations. -
Someone needs to ask Bass,…. Who ordered the code red?!?
-
The Bills will continue to be in the mix the next few years BUT i don’t think they will be quite as dominant. It won’t line up like this season. We’re not going to go 6-0 or 5-1 every year against the AFC East. Like we’ve seen many times in sports, if they do make and win the SB, it will likely be in a season we aren’t expecting it… then they get hot and go on a run.

As i said earlier in the thread, we don’t really know that Dorsey will be a great OC. We know he and Josh get along, ok that’s great. I’m ok getting a respected OC in here from outside the organization. I realize for Dorsey it would tough to step in to Daboll’s shoes in Buffalo. He may have a tough time living up to the recent success here. In NY he will have a couple years grace period to get the hang of being the guy.
-
I don’t want Dorsey to leave, but do we know he’s a good OC? There’s really no way of knowing until he’s the man in charge. I trust that Beane, McD and Allen are not thumbing through a rolodex, they probably have it narrowed down to 2 guys.

Brian Daboll hired to be Head Coach of NY Giants

McD is gonna have to nail a new OC. Of course Allen and Beane will be involved. It’s so important. The wrong guy could mess up the window of opportunity that we are currently in for a SB trophy. -

My whole feel about this Bills loss will change if the Bengals go in there and knock off the Chiefs. I wasn't impressed with KC's defense, at all. And I do feel like the KC/Bills winner would have a bit of a hangover this week....at least for the 1st half. Meanwhile Cinci is young and confident and will just show up with no pressure. They don't know they're Supposed to lose?!?! If the Cinci D plays tight coverage and their DB's make plays...and if they get to Mahomes, I will be impressed. The Bills D was useless the entire game. Should be interesting. Now if KC goes out and kills them, it will make me even angrier about our loss! -
Avoiding Arrowhead is more important than the #1 seed imo. @ KC in the playoffs is really hard but under Allen the Bills have been a really good road team. Just unfortunate that we had to go to Arrowhead twice in January.

Hitting Me Tough Again Today - What Could Have Been

Yeah it's rough. I was there for Norwood and all the other Super Bowls.. That entire era the Bills pounded every NFC opponent during the regular seasons..EXCEPT for the Super Bowl. That's the one time each year the NFC's best team showed up to beat us. Argh,, then Music City, and the last couple seasons with tough endings....including 13 seconds to live in infamy. It's almost like there's an extra force that the Bills have to contend with to win it all. Call it what you want,,, a curse on the city of Buffalo?!? But all they have to do is bleed 13 seconds off the clock to advance and they completely botch it.. is almost too tough to accept. -

I posted this in another thread, might be more appropriate here. The off season is summed up for me as follows: I'm sick for Josh Allen, who was perfect in two games. He could not possibly play any better.. and he goes home. I'm sick for Gabe Davis, who could not properly enjoy his career night in the playoffs. I'm sick for us fans, who once again have to be gracious losers of a historic game that will be brought up for generations to come. I'm sick that another fanbase is gifted a W. One that they likely felt entitled to -

My teenage son likes watching football, and we'll definitely spend time together Sunday watching the games. Even if KC beats Cinci we can still root for LA/SF to knock them off in the Super Bowl.
-
Frazier and McD deserve to be roasted for the defensive scheme in those last 13 seconds but where were Hyde and Poyer? They are supposed to be vets and almost like coaches on the field. They should have been doing something out there to get the guys aligned and playing up tight, so as soon as someone caught the ball, immediate tackle.

It's two years in a row of having an excellent chance to make the SB. This year was arguably better since they had the Chiefs beaten...until they didn't. It's tough to just assume they'll be back this close again. Other teams get better, we may lose some players/coaches, injuries, etc.. I'm hoping upon hope the Bills will be back and even better. -
I hear ya. Nice write up. At first i felt bad for us fans the most but by Monday night i felt the worst for Josh Allen. No guarantees on anything but he won’t ever get that back. He was peaking at the perfect time and had the most accomplished playoffs (in just 2 games!) of any QB in history without making the Super Bowl.

Jordan Palmer interview about Josh Allen 1/27
zow2 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yup. He was really peaking at the right time. Too bad he couldn’t control the D giving up two leads in the final 1:50. Then of course an OT walkoff drive. -
Who knows. Are there any other QB’s who may need a do-over year behind Allen?
