  1. Probably you're right as don't watch every play of every other team to even know how many other teams used the 6th lineman much. Believe the Bills led the league in using 6 lineman so probably very little competition for the title of league best in this category. Being the best 6th man lineman doesn't necessarily translate into him being the best backup lineman in the league IF he had to come in and play in a regular lineman position. If Dawkins got hurt and missed a game, would Anderson be the guy they turned too? Last year when Brown go hurt and missed a game it wasn't Anderson who took his spot and started. Anderson fills a unique role in Buffalo and he does it very well and the Bills rewarded him with a contract for that work, but that doesn't mean he's in line to take anyone's place as the next starter or that he's ahead of SVGP or any of the other actual TRUE backups. Maybe he is, maybe he isn't. Not starting him last year does say something though as to how the Bills view him.
  2. It's not about what folks are hoping for in a 5th rounder. It's the reality that the team can't afford shiny new toys all over the place. There needs to be some cheap "knock off's" where appropriate. With the rookies and depth the Bills have on their line, I don't think it's far fetched that you could see next year in 2026 either Edwards or McGovern are gone. There were some stories written back in Feb predicting Edwards could have been a March cut to save money. Alec Anderson wasn't even drafted but you're ready to play him over a 5th round pick. Anderson may be better or maybe not? I stated for 2026, by that point SVGP will have 2 years experience and still has 2 years left on cheap rookie contract. Anderson is also unsigned next year too so not that certain he's getting a crack first in 2026.
  3. Maybe trying to make a deal with either McGovern or Edwards. Whichever signs first is here long term, other is gone after this year and then move SVPG into starting role??
  4. Very fitting this headline in todays Athletic
  5. Yeah Cook really needs another big year under his belt to prove he's really worth the $15 Mil he's asking for. Someone like a Barkley put big numbers up in his first year and was a very big name coming out of the draft. Cook doesn't yet have that and hasn't shown to be a 3 down player yet so he has too much to prove to sit out this year IMO. Maybe he doesn't show up to the voluntary sessions but if he does hold out and risks not having a big year he'll never get the money he's asking for.
  6. Considering there are teams argue the Cowboys and Lions shouldn't have all the Thanksgiving home games and the league should rotate it, but the league doesn't want to abandon these two cities as years ago, no one wanted to host these games, but they both agreed to it. Can't imagine they'd want to start the same thing now with another city and years from now feel indebted to them.
  7. OK we all agree on the answer, they will use the fieldhouse. My question came since the OP started the statement with: "Will the Bills practice at the new stadium" and you answered yes so I questioned that. So agree the correct answer should have been no/yes since he asked 2 opposite questions
  8. You sure about #3?? I'd assume they'll still use the field house the majority of the time? Don't they have an adjacent grass field to the fieldhouse that they could use? Or maybe they install some type of new "turf" in the fieldhouse that more resembles grass?
  9. If Grant is still available in mid 20's could see Beane moving up for him. From what I've read, he's the one DT who is actually a 3 down player. Others are either good against the run or good against the pass, but not both. I've seen different mocks having him gone anywhere from around 12 to being there at 30
  10. Didn't Harbaugh's father also coach there or am I thinking of someone else's father??
  11. Kind of strange to be hired this time of year on an interim basis?? https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/6244323/2025/03/31/stanford-hiring-frank-reich-coach/
  12. Cook is kind of in a position where he still needs to prove himself capable of being a 3 down back if he expects the big bucks. For that reason I think if he holds out would hurt him for his next contract. But is he smart enough to figure that out?
  13. Yeah as long as you meet in a private setting. I'm guessing here it was someplace in the open, maybe at the breakfast buffet. Likely started over who got the last piece of bacon, but evolved from there.
  14. will she be playing in the KC Open?
  15. And yet the 2024 offense scored more points which what's actually needed to win games. Again in FF the yards gives you points, but not in the NFL so being more balanced helps.
  16. How much did they run in 2020 and 2021, in 2020, was 80 less times and they are now averaging 30 yards more per game than back then and I'll bet if you looked at individuals, you'd find that if you take out the Allen rushing plays the difference may be between 40 to 50 yards per game. So yes if you want to go back to just throwing the ball practically all the time, then Allen's stats would go up, but that is what would be nuts here to compare. It's a team sport, yes Allen is their best player, but running the ball more makes the TEAM better. Again we're not playing FF here!
  17. Agree, that's why they need to put their money and draft picks in improving the pass rush. 1000 more yards. LOL You could put JaMarr Chase on this offense and he likely would get 1000+ yards, but what will likely mean overall is the yest of the offense will end up with maybe 600 to 800 total yards less. In Fantasy, adding Chase adds 1000 yards, but sorry not here!
  18. Absolutely and that's why I don't think there's nearly as much of a need for a "true #1 WR" when you have an Allen or a Mahomes at QB, you can make lesser players around you look great. Would Chase and Higgins really be as good if their QB were Daniel Jones? Didn't the Bills get a #1 pick for Peerless Price from Falcons after he played with Bledsoe for a season or two, then didn't do much of anything in Atlanta.
  19. And that was the opinion last year and they score was it the 2nd most points in the league and Allen was in the top 10 in every category. Somebody caught all those passes he threw.
  20. Disagree, think you need to look at the those teams and see how many of those players drafted are still on the team. I'd imagine not too many so regardless of the QB situation, shows these teams just wasted their draft capital. Would also argue you don't need to spend a huge amount of draft capital on WR's when you have a great QB. Shakir was what a 5th round pick. Do you think he'd have looked half as good if he were on the Giants? Lets see how Hollins does this coming year. The Bills also drafted 2 TE's in Knox and Kincaid which should be factored in. And did the trade for Diggs count or not, or did Sharp only count players actually drafted??
  21. At least it would be easier to talk about if we had 3 2nd rounders and 2 3rd rounders
  22. That was Newtons problem, he didn't have the arm strength and once the big edge with his legs was done, he was done too.
  23. Haven't seen anything posted lately prior to the Milano pay cut, any idea how much the bills are currently under the cap by?
  24. Milano was 5th round pick I believe, could you get a comp pick for someone drafted that low?
  25. Watch he'll play lights out and cost more to resign him now if they wanted
