You sure about #3?? I'd assume they'll still use the field house the majority of the time? Don't they have an adjacent grass field to the fieldhouse that they could use? Or maybe they install some type of new "turf" in the fieldhouse that more resembles grass?

If Grant is still available in mid 20's could see Beane moving up for him. From what I've read, he's the one DT who is actually a 3 down player. Others are either good against the run or good against the pass, but not both. I've seen different mocks having him gone anywhere from around 12 to being there at 30

Frank Reich hired as interim coach at Stanford
Ed_Formerly_of_Roch replied to Ed_Formerly_of_Roch's topic in The Stadium Wall
Didn't Harbaugh's father also coach there or am I thinking of someone else's father?? -
Cook is kind of in a position where he still needs to prove himself capable of being a 3 down back if he expects the big bucks. For that reason I think if he holds out would hurt him for his next contract. But is he smart enough to figure that out?

McDermott in animated discussion with Roseman?
Ed_Formerly_of_Roch replied to Einstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yeah as long as you meet in a private setting. I'm guessing here it was someplace in the open, maybe at the breakfast buffet. Likely started over who got the last piece of bacon, but evolved from there. -
Jessica Pegula takes a jab at the Dolphins

will she be playing in the KC Open? -
How much did they run in 2020 and 2021, in 2020, was 80 less times and they are now averaging 30 yards more per game than back then and I'll bet if you looked at individuals, you'd find that if you take out the Allen rushing plays the difference may be between 40 to 50 yards per game. So yes if you want to go back to just throwing the ball practically all the time, then Allen's stats would go up, but that is what would be nuts here to compare. It's a team sport, yes Allen is their best player, but running the ball more makes the TEAM better. Again we're not playing FF here!

Agree, that's why they need to put their money and draft picks in improving the pass rush. 1000 more yards. LOL You could put JaMarr Chase on this offense and he likely would get 1000+ yards, but what will likely mean overall is the yest of the offense will end up with maybe 600 to 800 total yards less. In Fantasy, adding Chase adds 1000 yards, but sorry not here!

Bills 28th in draft capital spent on WR’s since 2020
Ed_Formerly_of_Roch replied to DJB's topic in The Stadium Wall
Absolutely and that's why I don't think there's nearly as much of a need for a "true #1 WR" when you have an Allen or a Mahomes at QB, you can make lesser players around you look great. Would Chase and Higgins really be as good if their QB were Daniel Jones? Didn't the Bills get a #1 pick for Peerless Price from Falcons after he played with Bledsoe for a season or two, then didn't do much of anything in Atlanta. -

And that was the opinion last year and they score was it the 2nd most points in the league and Allen was in the top 10 in every category. Somebody caught all those passes he threw. -

Disagree, think you need to look at the those teams and see how many of those players drafted are still on the team. I'd imagine not too many so regardless of the QB situation, shows these teams just wasted their draft capital. Would also argue you don't need to spend a huge amount of draft capital on WR's when you have a great QB. Shakir was what a 5th round pick. Do you think he'd have looked half as good if he were on the Giants? Lets see how Hollins does this coming year. The Bills also drafted 2 TE's in Knox and Kincaid which should be factored in. And did the trade for Diggs count or not, or did Sharp only count players actually drafted?? -
It’s time for a generational talent, blue chipper

At least it would be easier to talk about if we had 3 2nd rounders and 2 3rd rounders -
Will Josh ever be a pocket QB like the GOAT

That was Newtons problem, he didn't have the arm strength and once the big edge with his legs was done, he was done too. -
New League Year Projected 53 Man Roster
Ed_Formerly_of_Roch replied to jwhit34's topic in The Stadium Wall
Think the guy they signed Thursday could be the return man or maybe they both make it if Codrington shows he can provide some abilities as a CB and same with the other guy at the WR position. Do think Davidson is on the team unless they still resign Morris. And o think there will be trades of picks as agree not that many roster spots available for rookies. Do think one more vet CB will be signed Yes agree, but too many posters here expect that to happen their rookie year and if not that player is be a bust. -
And yet as pointed out above, we had the #2 offense. The Bills are fine at WR and TE, probably will add a rookie with a mid round pick.

Hoecht and Ogunjobi 6 game suspension for PEDs
Ed_Formerly_of_Roch replied to Process's topic in The Stadium Wall
My guess is it becomes a credit for the 2026 cap. A player could get suspended in November so can't factor it in this year. At end of year bonuses that weren't initially added into 2025 cap get added into 2026, this likely will count as a reduction against the total. And yes doesn't get paid when suspended. -
Hoecht and Ogunjobi 6 game suspension for PEDs
Ed_Formerly_of_Roch replied to Process's topic in The Stadium Wall
Well they do as the players don't get paid for those weeks. so if his salary was $1.7 mil, you'd take $600k off the top. Don't know if signing bonuses are somehow pro-rated into that, probably not?? -
They've kept 5 the last few years so doubtful they go to 6. Add to that we have two good pass catching TE's when healthy and believe we led the league in times with 6 OL on field. Think if Kincaid had been healthy would have seen more 2 TE's sets last year. Plus they signed this guy yesterday not even going to try and spell his name who likely was signed more as a returner, but can also play WR. Think he may provide more as a WR than Coddington provides as CB so think he could stick on 53. Maybe Coddington will also stick if improves his coverage skills some as a backup CB. I think they draft a WR mid round to take Samuels place next year. The Bills were one of the top 10 offenses in the league last year, Palmer does fill one need they had at WR to better stretch the field. When you have a QB like Allen, you don't need all pro WR's on the team. There are always vets cut in September, if someone were to get hurt, could sign someone at that point. But without an injury, don't see a roster spot for anyone else but a draft pick

Free agency is more fun than the draft !!
Ed_Formerly_of_Roch replied to Buffalo Barbarian's topic in The Stadium Wall
And after about the 2nd or 3rd round many of us never heard of the player! -
Agree, why can't we sign guys named Smith or Jones, or Adams, something easy to spell. It's taken me 3 years to figure out how to spell Shakir! Not this guy and the DT we signed, forget it!
