  1. Thought I read it's a voluntary thing. The home team can still enforce it if they choose too. If they feel it will hurt them attendance wise , they can then still black out opposing games. Noticed the past couple of weeks some teams went back to enforcing it, mainly in places where they have trouble selling out.
  2. That's the problem I have, hard to give 15 points when you're only averaging 18. Agree was against some good defenses, but even against the two worst defenses, it only went up to around 24 pt average. I think they'd have a better chance of covering if late in the game they are up something like 21-3, then it's still a close game, where as if they did score 30, then often you give up some scores in garbage time.
  3. I'd take the Fish at 15, Bills can't score so far.
  4. Agreed, but his point was before the season started, the Bills and Lions games were thought of as easy wins so wasn't affecting anything. Now those are two games too hard to predict. Lose them bot hand Dallas is in big trouble is what he was saying.
  5. I read the article today about Frazier. One interesting part was how he (and McD and Ron Rivera) all coached in Philly together and part of their philosophy was to keep things simple. Exactly the opposite of Rex and his defense. Rex was supposedly the defensive genius and for a number of years he did look pretty good. Then teams figured him out, so he added some twists, but that when I think he lost it as his system became too complicated for most players to execute.
  6. So you're saying they'll be favored in 6 and the underdog in 3 games? Which ones? I have them favored in 5, Miami twice, Jets, Washington, and Denver and definite dogs against Dallas (assuming they don't go into freefall) and NE. Baltimore and Philly at home and at Cleveland and Pitt, not too certain either way, will likely depend on how both teams are playing between now and then. If the Bills keep winning likely favored in most of them, though could see Philly maybe favored if they keep winning.
  7. I do think they may give them other smaller more often rewards in it's place, like the draft. If it were domed, maybe the combine?
  8. How'd that work with Williams anyway. He signed a contract back in Jan article stated his salary was a little under $400k. When he got cut and then sent to the practice squad, I assume he made much less, standard PS money. When called up, does he revert back to the original contract, or did the Bills write him a new deal?
  9. I wouldn't be shocked if by year end Ford is moved inside and Bates is the starting RT particularly if Ty keeps getting nicked up.
  10. Agree, but that won't make him any less the whipping boy based on how many negative comments have been posted, particularly since they will no longer have Zay to bash.
  11. You must not read many posts around here. He should be cut yesterday per many posters.
  12. Bills need to start scoring more points, in particular in the next couple of games against teams they should beat easily, then will be taken seriously. Think the two best teams in the league are both in the AFC, KC and NE, but after that less really good teams in AFC compared to no one great in NFC, but more real good teams
  13. Yeah but with Ford its more blame on the coaching staff for not playing him at guard. Yeldon is the man in a bad sense, even though thought I read he played more snaps i nthe 2nd half than Gore.
  14. I feel bad for Yeldon. With Zay gone, Yeldon will become the #1 whipping boy around here now. Competition is gone, so much for lying low.
  15. Probably hurts alot when he moves in the wrong direction. Just the 3rd quarter!
  16. Agree I think if the FO feels OK, we've seen enough of him late last season and up till now, we want him back and made a decent offer now and he wants to be here, then maybe. But likely he'd at least want to test the FA waters to see what he can get elsewhere, the only reason not to remain unsigned is the injury risk. IMO he's the kind of player that if another team signs him to a big contract, they may regret it and realize he's more the product of a great team around him. Having said that I would like him back, but on a modest contract.
  17. If you could get him for a 3rd, would it be worth it, worst case he's a rental for the year, let him go then, wouldn't the Bills get a 3rd back for him as a comp pick? Unless they signed another 1st rounder FA, then it offsets??
  18. You could actually play everyone in your conference one time for 15 game total, plus one team from other conference or like college has it, 16th game is against your "rival" If they went to an 18 game schedule wouldn't be too bad then as 15 games in conference, plus 3 games assistant opposite conference. Within 5 years you'd play all the teams in opposite conference. Or maybe better yet, if it ain't broke don't fix it! Obviously many here including myself are counting our chickens before they are even close to hatched, this year may hurt us, but can see in another years could help you too.
  19. But the counter argument to that is you don't play equal schedules. The Bills have an advantage playing the NFC east this year while the AFC west plays the NFC north where all 4 teams are very good. Likely no one in the NFC north will have a great record either as unlikely anyone sweeps the division there too. Even the AFC north plays the NFC west which has three solid teams. Yes is sucks but also the reason why the road team often does win the wild card game as they often are the better team.
  20. Maybe that's why he was called for holding, needed the other guy to keep him from falling over! ? Is amazing how often these guys are left for dead and two plays later back in the game. Maybe they watch too much soccer!
  21. Since you brought them up, are they still negative or are the wins forcing them to say nicer things about the team? Usually there's a thread here about them being terrible, but didn't read anything.
  22. Really not giving up much in the way of assets though other than Yeldon. Suppose the Bills don't sign him at years end, believe they'd get a 3rd rounder back in comp pick so basically traded Gordon and a 5th for Yeldon
  23. The issue I'd have with Barnwell's thought is don't want to wait another two games for this to happen. I'd tell San Diego make the trade this week or we'll look elsewhere.
  24. The only games I'm certain they will be the underdog in is at NE and Dallas (assuming this isn't the beginning of a Dallas death spiral) Philly and Baltimore at home will be close on points, maybe Buffalo +1 assuming both teams continue on their existing path. At Cleveland and Pitt likely a slight dog, though if Bills are like 9-3 and Pitt 3-7, could see the Bills favored then too.
  25. Agree completely! Think overall the issue is still not quite enough talent, one more draft/FA haul is needed. By year end maybe Ford will be the answer at RT, but overall think they'd be better moving him to guard and getting a legit RT. Maybe then they don't re-sign Spain? WR is likely 2 to 3 times better than last year, but still not quite there. If Williams does continue to improve that may help alot. Maybe Williams will become last years Foster. Speaking of, am starting to wonder if one of these days I'll be seeing a post here "Foster to IR", think if Williams continues to improve may happen, particularly if other position suffers short term 2 to 4 week injury injuries and they need to make some moves to free up roster slot.
