I've actually started watching more NBA of late. What does drive me crazy in both NBA and even worse in college is they stop play to review the clock, it takes 10 minutes to figure it out and add an entire .4 seconds to the clock. To me college basketball has become unwatchable between the one and done's leaves you with hardly any idea on who is on what teams and for the most part these college kids can't shoot worth anything. In the NBA if you leave a player open from 10 feet, most of the time they will make the open shot, but not in college anymore.

Reading the latest article on KC getting all the calls and the NFL denying it, but as this article stated, it's a problem for the NFL as that is the overall perception of things and the league needs to erase that. Got me thinking, is this an NFL problem or is it the same in all sports? I'm guessing it's much worse in the NFL only because only 16 games are played and playoffs are all one and done's as opposed to best 4 of 7 so impact of calls is rarely felt as much??

I've always said it's too easy to get elected tot he football HOA and too hard to get elected to t he baseball HOA. I didn't read all the exact criteria changes, but overall less elected every year isn't necessarily a bad thing IMO.

Reading a quote, major upset, stunning were words used. Guess I'm wondering how anyone can say that when throughout the last 10 weeks or so of the season Allen was favored to win the award. Yes it did get much closer at the end of the season, but Allen was still ahead. The same article also mentioned how in 2023 Allen had better stats, that Lamar, but didn't win it. So why would it then be shocking that Allen won this year? Jackson sould have won it this year, was very close, but can't see how anyone can be shocked by results. I kind of wondered the same thing as throughout the night no sightings of Jackson. To me that was a hint that Allan won the award. Is there some site that lists the voting results, by person??

I 've always said I could get open on an NFL CB if you give the QB enough time as I, the WR know where I'm going and the DB doesn't. BTW I'll be 70 this year!

Once a year sounds too high, maybe every other year or two out of three years. Think it won't happen till they go to 18 games and add a second bye. That would make it easier. Two team every year report to camp a week early to play in the HOF game. They could add two more teams to report a week early and have those two teams face off someplace on Labor day weekend, then give them the next week off??

The one thing that worries me in 2025 maybe more than anything, can they sustain the TO numbers battle like they did this year.. There's a lot of luck involved there, being in the right place at the right time. It's kind of like winning one score games, think it was 3 years ago, the Bills lost only like one one score game all season, the following year lost a few of them.

So which side does Crosby play? That was one of the issues the past couple of years, whenever Miller came in, Groot would be forced to switch to other side and he didn't ever seem to be as good from the other side. Don't want to repeat that again. Or include Groot in the trade, but then the overall improvement of the team drops off considerably in even making the trade. Or maybe Crosby is good from both sides?

Agree, Another way to look at it would be, based on last Sundays game if there were 17 others just like it,, would you award him the MVP off that performance, in fact would he even have been a finalist, probably not. He played well, but was more than just a poor first drive overall. It certainly wasn't one of his top 10 performances of the year.

There's a long list of players that posters wanted to run out of town starting with Brown, Knox, and Bass. Folks wanted to cut Bass by October of his rookie year, then by year 2 loved him everyone said great pick, this year back to getting rid of him. What's it all mean, basically that posters here are all clueless and overly emotional.

Actually you are as fully qualified as most GM's or owners in the league is . The reason I say that is if they were more qualified, there's wouldn't be all the failures in the hires that happen regularly. That was kind of the point of @oldmanfan the odds of getting anyone better when you consider all the failures is very low and no one knows who will be a success. The Bills were lucky that they made a good choice in McD. To the OP's point @Ramza86 that a 15 YO could get the team to the wild card. then how come Mayfield failed in Cleveland (and Carolina) and now looks great? While not as long of a track record of success, but Darnold in Minn looked pretty darn good this year after years of failure. Sis they all of a sudden figure things out or is it the coaching? Yeah it's easy to say anyone can win in this league when you have a great superstar QB, but really not as easy as many think.

So it also tells us that Elam is one of the 25% best CBs in the league!!

Well the one other concern I'd have with a vertical threat is for whatever reason Allen seems to throw a rather inaccurate long ball. If I were a DC going up against the Bills and lets assume they had selected Worthy, I wouldn't worry all that much about him and a deep ball as figure we have to take a chance someplace and until Allen can show he can complete that pass fairly often, lets worry more about stopping him elsewhere.

So what do you want to do cut him?? LOL that's not happening. As you even stated he's be back as the 6th WR, but that likely won't be the case as they've only carried 5, so he'll be back as the #5 WR. That won't change regardless of what Steve Smith says. Regardless of how good or bad he is, he's not getting cut and not to say he can't improve. Posters here have a very bad track record of evaluating players off one or two seasons of play. (see Knox, Brown for starters)

Yeah I'd have no issue with cutting Samuel as didn't show very much, not sure if they WANT to do that from a cap standpoint?? Maybe they can get him to take a big pay cut?? Based on his performance this year, doubtful he'd get big money anywhere else. Agree too both TE's are assets, but seemed like we never really went with that concept very much. It would seem that since the WR group is one of the weakest areas and not having tons of cap space using 2 TE's more would be a good strategy money wise.

Well if you want WR to open up downfield, to me that's very risky as for whatever reason Allen seems terrible with accuracy in throwing long passes. Not just this year, but multiple seasons, rarely does he hit someone on target. If you want the offense to thrive on long passes, may need a different QB. Why can't they make KC punt more than twice, you state we've never done that, but also state we struggled going downfield. So yes, you can develop a mindset of not punting, but as I mention, Allen and long passes aren't a good fit, or just as easily could go in the direction of making the defense better. Either works, it doesn't have to be one or the other. I do recall in Davis's rookie year Allen was routinely throwing 20 yard passes to him on the sideline and Davis would make these amazing tiptoe catches. Not sure where either the throw or for Davis, the catches went?

They haven't done that the past few years so yes Coleman will be kept as one of the 5 so then as you stated added Shakir and Samuel and if they resign Hollins which many hope for, that leaves one spot. Unless they decide to break the trend they've gone with, it is NOT likely you will get 2 more, sorry to disappoint you.

So the Bills keep 5 WR's on their roster and to add more means cutting short another position, not likely to happen and for legit reasons. Shakir and Coleman are pretty certain to be back, would cost a fair amount of cap hit to cut Samuel, so likely he's back. I think and hope they resign Hollins and think he may take a little less money to return here as seems to like it here. So unless they don't resign Hollins or cut Samuel, that leaves one roster spot. Maybe they will decide to abandon the two TE concept and decide to try and trade either Knox or Kincaid which then could open another WR spot, but would be surprised if they do . For all the talk of how the Bills need WR help the offense was number one two in the league in most overall categories so think this WR need is being over blown. All season the" Everyone eats" was talked about as a good thing and understand the two things aren't mutually exclusive but also need to be careful of tinkering with what did work. The biggest issue this team had was getting to the QB and getting of the field on 3rd down.
