  1. The Bills have had believe the 2nd best record in the league the past 5 years, 4 years in a row the #2 seed. Looking at it statistically the odds of them replacing McD and even being close to as good is very low as just little room to improve but a lot of room to get worse.
  2. Agree, It would be interesting to go back and see, did Cowherd even predict the Bills to make the playoffs, believe he did? I do recall many in the media did not have them making it. This year the only problem McD has is the team has over achieved. This was a retool year. They were a bit lucky in that 3 teams they played this year who were supposed to be good were terrible, Jets, Dolphins, and 49r's so that gave them 5 pretty easy wins which helped. But they really weren't expected to be this good so really doubtful he is even close to getting fired. I do think the defense will get a pretty substantial makeover particularly on the line. Groot will be back along with Oliver and probably AJ along with carter and Soliman. But see them bringing in the best edge rusher available and maybe also a true 1 nose DT
  3. No it is Eagles at Buffalo is set. It will always be against the team in the same position in the standing and the division chosen isa the one that you played against 2 seasons prior so for 2025 would be the 2023 NFC division which was the east. This year we played Detroit on the road so mean we get the 9th home game for 2025. But is possible it's an international game, can't rule that out totally. Though maybe playing one in 2023 rules us out?? Think you're looking at 2026?? For some reason 2025 was skipped. We played the "odd" one off NFC game this year at Detroit on the road, so next year Bills get the 9th home game so game would be in buffalo. Looking at that think they are all off by one row?? What that should have stated was 2025 host East, 2026 at west, 2027 host south, 2028 at north. But that doesn't make sense either as then a repeat every 4 years. in 2021 we hosted NFC west Dallas and in 2022 we went to NFC west Rams. Could 2025 be some one off thing, or after 4 years they flip so for 2025 Bills will have two years in a row with 9 away games?? But in 2028 and 2029 will have 9 home games two years in a row. Well am certain playing Eagles, where??
  4. I thought I heard it on TV?? It wasn't like a 5 minute standing O, but seemed to hear people cheering some.
  5. True to often you read posts here, "it hit him in the hands" so that's a bad drop regardless of how hard of a catch it really was.
  6. I think they will let Allen start, play one series and hand the ball off a few times. The only downside I do see is likely they start Mitch, what if he were to get hurt, they'd then have to bring Josh back in, believe in Q4 you can play your 3rd QB who's not officially part of the active roster?? (that rule has changed so many times not certain what it is these days) Would they make the 3rd string QB active just to be safe and short change a roster spot someplace else, maybe Cook sits?
  7. Or maybe it was because McD was calling a defense including Hyde, Poyer, White, & Milano. The defense certainly was rebuilt more this year than offense. Do think most FA signings and high draft picks will be on the defensive side
  8. Allen didn't have great stats today, but was a good part due to all the drops. Coleman and Shakir each had 2 I think, Cooper 1. If I recall Coleman also had a great catch called back on penalty?
  9. Agree that's not the the game to pick as then the other games potentially become meaningless. If Vikes win today the Saturday night game would be a good choice as no other game impacted by it. Could see the Bills playing Saturday only because don't see another game where the single game alone determines anything. So might as well put a good draw in the other Saturday game and could set that up for the following Saturday the Bills play so they get an extra day of rest out of it. Or they pick some other game with teams that draw well, but have no playoff implications
  10. True but to create a post stating the coach should be fired for winning the game is rather stupid regardless of the ramifications. Even if the coach is trying to lose, the players want to win as some (like the coach) have no idea if they will even be playing in the NFL ever again.
  11. He made some good hits, think the problem is he's better suited for strong safety. Maybe they could trade Rapp and sign a free agent FS?? On other hand many players make marked improvement from year 1 to year 2 so who knows?? When you factor in he missed most of training camp, it could just as easily happen. As McD said early on, safety in the Bills defense takes time to learn.
  12. Yes he should have went out and coached to lose! Brilliant idea!!
  13. Is Richardson also inactive? Read there was a good chance he would be??
  14. Kind of funny Jags and Titans lately can't even get 13 wins between them!
  15. No but the OP's point was we should have been 16-1 along with KC and since we beat them we'd have had the #1 seed. So my question was if both Bills and KC, has that ever happened before where 2 teams in same season finished with one loss. I'll accept in the "old days" 2 teams finish 13-1 or more recent 15-1, Hell I'll even go way back ad say 11-1. Has any of these scenarios ever happened?
  16. Steelers have alot of incentive to win next week too, if they lose and Chargers win, appears Chargers would get 5th seed and game at Houston, and Steelers go to Balt, or possibly Buffalo (if Bills lose last 2). Chargers play at Vegas and Raiders would probably just as soon lose to get better draft pick. If Denver won and Pitt loses, maybe even drop to 7th so Steeler's will want to win.
  17. Has there ever been teams with only one loss in a season, I'm guessing no.
  18. Recall reading an article after last season talking about Bernard and it said he made many flash plays that got him in the spotlight, made player of the week if I recall, but also had many mistakes, over pursues, etc. Article I read recently kind of stated the same. So this year getting all of the same minus the flash plays.
  19. So if Chargers and Bronco's win this week, Bengals are out. Even assuming Bengals beat Denver, they still need ot be Pitt following week and Bronco;s have to lose to KC who will likely be resting many. Plus I think Indy needs to lose one of last two and they play Giants, and Jax, if they win both they'd make it over Bengals On the other hand dropping out of 2 seed could likely mean a 2nd round game at Balt. I'd add too if Bengals are such a scary match, KC may feel the same so little incentive for them to beat Denver week 18. Let Denver win and knock out Bengals.
  20. The only place his name has value is with fans. Maybe in Madden football he's worth something, but to other GM's he's worthless at this point. I love seeing these stupid threads, they guy's terrible, trade him. Well if he's so bad why would any other team want him? Add to that he has a really big contract, he costs more to cut than to keep. Barring another big injury, Milano will be here in 2025, at best maybe he becomes June 1st cut, but likely better off keeping him another year and see how he looks if he can stay on the filed.
  21. Heard them say last night in Green Bay game the DB who made an interception was signed off Bills PS, forgot the name by now.
  22. Likely though there will be some cap casualty names that pop up
  23. Many of the guys mentioned are 2026 so don't need to decide on all of them yet, particularly in the spring. It's still early yet, want to see more how it plays out, but I'd be more interested in re-signing both Hoillins and Cooper as think they both may take a discount to sign here. Not so sure about McGovern as think they drafted his replacement in VPG. He's also a 2026 guy, so let him play out next year and see how VPG develops. Douglas has taken a step back this year so less inclined to sign him. Would like to get Ty Johnson back. I would try and sign the best pass rushing FA DE out there and maybe also a nose tackle. Think guys like Gilliam, Morris, Anderson, and VanDemark will get resigned later on on cheap one year deals. Next summer or early fall can worry about guys like Benford and Shakir. Bills are o nthe hook for 5th year option for Groot so really little choice but to sign him to long term deal and think they should.
  24. Can't disagree with any of them. Was surprised to see the Bills ended up with 29 minutes TOP, big improvement from 1st half. Turnovers certainly helped that number
