  1. He made some good hits, think the problem is he's better suited for strong safety. Maybe they could trade Rapp and sign a free agent FS?? On other hand many players make marked improvement from year 1 to year 2 so who knows?? When you factor in he missed most of training camp, it could just as easily happen. As McD said early on, safety in the Bills defense takes time to learn.
  2. Yes he should have went out and coached to lose! Brilliant idea!!
  3. Is Richardson also inactive? Read there was a good chance he would be??
  4. Kind of funny Jags and Titans lately can't even get 13 wins between them!
  5. No but the OP's point was we should have been 16-1 along with KC and since we beat them we'd have had the #1 seed. So my question was if both Bills and KC, has that ever happened before where 2 teams in same season finished with one loss. I'll accept in the "old days" 2 teams finish 13-1 or more recent 15-1, Hell I'll even go way back ad say 11-1. Has any of these scenarios ever happened?
  6. Steelers have alot of incentive to win next week too, if they lose and Chargers win, appears Chargers would get 5th seed and game at Houston, and Steelers go to Balt, or possibly Buffalo (if Bills lose last 2). Chargers play at Vegas and Raiders would probably just as soon lose to get better draft pick. If Denver won and Pitt loses, maybe even drop to 7th so Steeler's will want to win.
  7. Has there ever been teams with only one loss in a season, I'm guessing no.
  8. Recall reading an article after last season talking about Bernard and it said he made many flash plays that got him in the spotlight, made player of the week if I recall, but also had many mistakes, over pursues, etc. Article I read recently kind of stated the same. So this year getting all of the same minus the flash plays.
  9. So if Chargers and Bronco's win this week, Bengals are out. Even assuming Bengals beat Denver, they still need ot be Pitt following week and Bronco;s have to lose to KC who will likely be resting many. Plus I think Indy needs to lose one of last two and they play Giants, and Jax, if they win both they'd make it over Bengals On the other hand dropping out of 2 seed could likely mean a 2nd round game at Balt. I'd add too if Bengals are such a scary match, KC may feel the same so little incentive for them to beat Denver week 18. Let Denver win and knock out Bengals.
  10. The only place his name has value is with fans. Maybe in Madden football he's worth something, but to other GM's he's worthless at this point. I love seeing these stupid threads, they guy's terrible, trade him. Well if he's so bad why would any other team want him? Add to that he has a really big contract, he costs more to cut than to keep. Barring another big injury, Milano will be here in 2025, at best maybe he becomes June 1st cut, but likely better off keeping him another year and see how he looks if he can stay on the filed.
  11. Heard them say last night in Green Bay game the DB who made an interception was signed off Bills PS, forgot the name by now.
  12. Likely though there will be some cap casualty names that pop up
  13. Many of the guys mentioned are 2026 so don't need to decide on all of them yet, particularly in the spring. It's still early yet, want to see more how it plays out, but I'd be more interested in re-signing both Hoillins and Cooper as think they both may take a discount to sign here. Not so sure about McGovern as think they drafted his replacement in VPG. He's also a 2026 guy, so let him play out next year and see how VPG develops. Douglas has taken a step back this year so less inclined to sign him. Would like to get Ty Johnson back. I would try and sign the best pass rushing FA DE out there and maybe also a nose tackle. Think guys like Gilliam, Morris, Anderson, and VanDemark will get resigned later on on cheap one year deals. Next summer or early fall can worry about guys like Benford and Shakir. Bills are o nthe hook for 5th year option for Groot so really little choice but to sign him to long term deal and think they should.
  14. Can't disagree with any of them. Was surprised to see the Bills ended up with 29 minutes TOP, big improvement from 1st half. Turnovers certainly helped that number
  15. Often PI penalties are questionable, the last two on Elam were easy calls, I could have even made. Did he also have a 3rd one on him earlier in game?? Not that it's an excuse, but I wonder if the weather effected him more than others? He's a Florida kid, has he ever played in cold like this and makes me wonder if his head was to the point, of not wanting to be out there in this cold and just couldn't think straight. The last two in particular were more the type of calls where you're just not thinking what you're doing.
  16. Agree. This was supposed to be a retooling year and weren't expected to do that well. But what do they do, they go out and win 12 games. Many are saying they are the 2nd best team in the league and at times they are, But other weeks they play like a team expected to be in the middle. And where they are struggling is on the line, letting teams stay on the field by running and not getting sacks. They should have a decent amount of money this off season so they need to go out and sign the top FA pass rusher, maybe a better run stopping DT to play next to Oliver, draft a CB high and let Douglas go, assuming Bishop takes over for Hamlin, draft another safety to replace Rapp in 2026 and probably also a LB to replace Milano in 26.
  17. Yes, but you don't get an extra roster spot on game day, so someone else would need to sit, i.e. Jackson And maybe after 2 weeks of practice Jackson is still considered the better option. Do the math!
  18. OK but if Pitt loses to KC and Ravens win last two, they'd then have 5 losses and would win division. So if Bills rest their starters week 17 and 18 and lose, wouldn't' that then give the Ravens the #2 seed as both have 5 losses and Ravens beat Bills? If Ravens lose to Texans then last two weeks mean nothing for Bills
  19. What team is King Kong playing for these days?
  20. I think Henry being on the Ravens will hurt Jackson's chances as many will argue at the least Henry made Jackson look much better. So I'm rooting for Texans to beat Ravens and Pitt to beat KC on X-Mas On the other hand if KC wins, then week 18 Bills can rest many players.
  21. Not that they even won all that much, but just the expectations were enough two years later for Granato to get fired.
  22. So I seem to recall that I was watching the game in a bowling alley in location I lived in early 70's, that the only reason for me thinking that's when it occurred? LOL
  23. Thought it was early 70s?? But maybe??
  24. Headline in article in Buffalo News: Bills notebook: Amari Cooper 'waiting (his) whole life to be on a team like this' Couple quotes from article: “It’s absolutely amazing,” Cooper told The Buffalo News. “Honestly, I’ve been waiting my whole life to be on a team like this.” “Obviously, I’m a receiver,” Cooper said. “Every receiver wants the ball. But, I mean, I’m in Year 10. And so, what’s most important to me is winning. And so, I think we definitely have the formula. “So, I think it’s actually kind of cool, like going from 14 targets to zero targets, and we win, we beat a great team, actually a potential matchup down the road" “But we are part of a team to where guys go down, and the offense is still putting up 40, 50 points. That’s truly a team that has a chance.” I'm sure Diggs would say the same!
