  1. Not only that, but he tucked the ball away, which is also in the rules as a football move. He satisfied A, B, and C of the catch process. Refs got it wrong.
  2. I do wonder if our first round pick, the one we traded up to get, will be a healthy scratch again against the Jets…
  3. I always wonder why players don’t maximize angles. On that one, Mac Jones had nowhere to escape except backwards. There was a Bill on the side and one in front. Before Mac even started to scramble JP should’ve beelined hard to his left to take that option away and prevent Mac from escaping.
  4. Some will say “because out of bounds is no longer in the field of play” and I’d rebuttal with “so why are we looking at anything that happens out of bounds if he clearly satisfied the requirements of a catch while in bounds?”
  5. Incorrect, he got 3 feet down. The toe drag was the third.
  6. A toe tap equals a step when determining possession of the ball.
  7. Just stop throwing Singletary the ball.
  8. Edmunds seems to be playing with more of a sense of urgency than I can ever recall in his career. He has been popping on the screen a lot more, not because he’s getting game changing turnovers, but because he’s making the stops we all expected out of a 6’5 250lb 4.5 16th overall pick. We don’t really need one of these threads after every good game he has, just like we don’t need an “Edmunds sucks” thread after his bad ones. People just like being divisive and argumentative methinks.
  9. Going into this year, this was his write up in The Athletic in regards to drops: What percentage of drops do you have? I wonder if they count that failed TD against the Vikes (or Jets?) where he didn’t box out the defender and bring the ball in. You know, the one that hit him in his chest. If you think Knox is a sure handed pass catcher I’d disagree.
  10. Bad contract, he’s never shown the ability to take over a game. And still struggles with drops.
  11. Does “defenseless” translate to “trying to catch the ball”? I honestly don’t know with these calls. I get the head-hunting hits that Ronnie Lott used to dish out, but bang bang plays like that where the DB is trying to jar the football loose should never be a personal foul if it’s not helmet to helmet.
  12. Lots of money coming in on the Pats. The line has moved 2 whole points from -5.5 to -3.5.
  13. Just saw that Von Miller has 27 pressures on the season along with 8 sacks. Rousseau, Epenesa, and Basham have a combined 25 pressures and 10.5 sacks. Where can we get another Von Miller?
  14. Every time I turn around, another Bill is winning player of the week/month. Maybe I’ll spin around in circles until the end of the season so it happens every week.
  15. Just take the best OL in the first round next year, regardless of position. Only way you don’t go OL is if a blue chipper unexpectedly falls, otherwise take the best prospect to protect Josh and let the players/coaches sort out who plays where.
  16. Tom Brady is the GOAT. Regularly turned average receivers into good ones.
  17. If the ramifications of the Knox contract means we’re down to choosing between extending Edmunds or Oliver, I’m going with Oliver.
  18. Dane Jackson wants to know why he was left off this list 😅 He missed the Dolphins game with the neck injury.
  19. He had a 30+ yard TD called back against the Cowpokes for an illegal man downfield. I thought it was a weak call as the lineman was 3-4 yards past the LoS and his positioning had absolutely no bearing on the play. Refs gonna ref.
  20. Cardinals had 12 seconds and a timeout to get into FG range. Bolts rushed 2, spied with 1, and played legit coverage with the other 8. Game over. And a much different approach to what Leslie Frazier would do in the same situation (rush 4, everyone else 20 yards back).
  21. Now that Von Miller has been hurt and will miss games, EVERY STARTER on defense, with the exception of Daquan Jones, has been injured and missed time. I’m not sure I’ve ever seen that since I started following the Bills religiously from ‘97 on.
  22. Josh almost never looks Shakir’s way. Whether that’s Shakir’s fault for not getting open, I don’t know, I don’t have the All-22. It’s almost exclusively, Diggs, Davis, and (insert running back here). Knox only gets a couple looks himself.
  23. Take away Mahomes and Andy Reid wins about the same number. They’re barely scraping by with Patrick against lesser opponents, just like we are.
  24. Seems like the goal was to build his confidence, as they have been doing. Now they’ll have him on tape and he’ll be able to see himself competing in an NFL game without limitations. It’s not ideal, you’d like him to be fully ready to go, especially with our CBs struggling, but at least he got out there for a series. I’d expect them to build on that next Thursday.
