  1. Ahhh, a welcome distraction to the Von Miller news.
  2. Just saw that vested veterans have to go through waivers after the trade deadline, so yeah, he wouldn’t make it to us. NFL probably has that in place to prevent collusion.
  3. This hurts most because a 33 year old player was our only “twitchy” edge rusher. We have no one else on that DL who rushes with pure speed and bend. Like Dawkins said, “Jerry Hughes was a great player to go against, but Von Miller is like Jerry x4.” They’ll have to blitz more off the edge because Rousseau is the only one left who gets back there.
  4. Time for Jerry Hughes to demand his release like Baker Mayfield. C’mon, Jerry!
  5. And KC fans rejoice
  6. If Stevenson has anything Daboll believes in, he’ll be a NYG before clearing waivers. Pretty wild Isaiah Hodgins is a starter right now.
  7. Trade Edmunds if possible. Allocate the money he would’ve made to the offense. He has never been a difference maker against the top offenses in the league, so what exactly is it that we’re throwing $15M/yr at? A good, but not great off the ball LB? No thanks.
  8. Does anyone know where to find/have access to the pressures/sacks each lineman has given up thus far? The Athletic always has these numbers, think they get them from PFF.
  9. Not only that, but he tucked the ball away, which is also in the rules as a football move. He satisfied A, B, and C of the catch process. Refs got it wrong.
  10. I do wonder if our first round pick, the one we traded up to get, will be a healthy scratch again against the Jets…
  11. I always wonder why players don’t maximize angles. On that one, Mac Jones had nowhere to escape except backwards. There was a Bill on the side and one in front. Before Mac even started to scramble JP should’ve beelined hard to his left to take that option away and prevent Mac from escaping.
  12. Some will say “because out of bounds is no longer in the field of play” and I’d rebuttal with “so why are we looking at anything that happens out of bounds if he clearly satisfied the requirements of a catch while in bounds?”
  13. Incorrect, he got 3 feet down. The toe drag was the third.
  14. A toe tap equals a step when determining possession of the ball.
  15. Just stop throwing Singletary the ball.
  16. Edmunds seems to be playing with more of a sense of urgency than I can ever recall in his career. He has been popping on the screen a lot more, not because he’s getting game changing turnovers, but because he’s making the stops we all expected out of a 6’5 250lb 4.5 16th overall pick. We don’t really need one of these threads after every good game he has, just like we don’t need an “Edmunds sucks” thread after his bad ones. People just like being divisive and argumentative methinks.
  17. Going into this year, this was his write up in The Athletic in regards to drops: What percentage of drops do you have? I wonder if they count that failed TD against the Vikes (or Jets?) where he didn’t box out the defender and bring the ball in. You know, the one that hit him in his chest. If you think Knox is a sure handed pass catcher I’d disagree.
  18. Bad contract, he’s never shown the ability to take over a game. And still struggles with drops.
  19. Does “defenseless” translate to “trying to catch the ball”? I honestly don’t know with these calls. I get the head-hunting hits that Ronnie Lott used to dish out, but bang bang plays like that where the DB is trying to jar the football loose should never be a personal foul if it’s not helmet to helmet.
  20. Lots of money coming in on the Pats. The line has moved 2 whole points from -5.5 to -3.5.
  21. Just saw that Von Miller has 27 pressures on the season along with 8 sacks. Rousseau, Epenesa, and Basham have a combined 25 pressures and 10.5 sacks. Where can we get another Von Miller?
  22. Every time I turn around, another Bill is winning player of the week/month. Maybe I’ll spin around in circles until the end of the season so it happens every week.
  23. Just take the best OL in the first round next year, regardless of position. Only way you don’t go OL is if a blue chipper unexpectedly falls, otherwise take the best prospect to protect Josh and let the players/coaches sort out who plays where.
  24. Tom Brady is the GOAT. Regularly turned average receivers into good ones.
