  1. Mahomes seemingly never has a down game. He’ll have a half where he’s trash, but never a full game. The SB against the Bucs wasn’t on him.
  2. I thought it was where the ball is when the player is ruled down. This isnt the endzone.
  3. Burrow throws such a catchable ball. More “who dey?!” chants!
  4. I’m more rooting for the Bengals HC than I am the team or the players. But then I’ll root for PHI to win it all.
  5. This was KC’s retool year, they weren’t supposed to be this good. Go Bengals!
  6. Greenlaw went after Vosean Joseph too.
  7. I’d probably lean PHI ina. KC vs PHI SB, but KC will have the best player on the field, to go with an aggressive DC, so I wouldn’t be at all surprised if KC wins easy.
  8. Not totally sure about that one. I remember his HC in college complaining because Allen wasn’t throwing to the intended receiver. Allen’s response was something like “Brett Favre throws TDs, coach.” For all we know Dorsey is encouraging Allen to take the short stuff, but Josh isn’t doing it. Since none of us are in these meetings we can only speculate either way.
  9. Can’t stand Pacheco. Take your slip n slide *** back to the huddle!
  10. The irony is that the Chiefs almost never get to Burrow. Their DL is dominating right now, let’s see if they keep it up.
  11. Toney has been a revelation for the Chiefs.
  12. Mahomes is getting worse with the tongue between the teeth on every throw thing.
  13. I actually wanted Lloyd in the first as well. Even though we weren’t starving for a LB, I thought at that point he was far and away the BPA. If I were GM, I’d be a shrewd one. After I had drafted Lloyd, I would’ve worked the phones to see if there was interest in Edmunds as a 2nd round pick, that way I avoid his looming contract and already have another heralded LB in his place. For the first half of the season Lloyd was on the DROY train, but fell off as the season wore on, but I still like the move in hindsight.
  14. I don’t know if he’s “horrible,” but he’s missed on some players I thought would be stars at the NFL level and they have been. He and his scouts have access to more resources than I could ever imagine, so for me to know who the better player would be in the draft is kinda damning. It’s like he’s outsmarting himself. This year I don’t want to see any double down picks unless it’s OL. Also don’t want to see him trading up and burning picks either.
  15. This is assuming Beane were to hit on the picks. As we’ve seen thus far, his evaluation of the trenches (and WRs) leaves a lot to be desired.
  16. It was rumored the Cowpokes were really high on him and may have taken him in the 4th. Not sure if that’s why the Bills snatched him in the 3rd, but this team isn’t good enough to have any picks 1-3 as healthy inactives. Those need to be contributors and I’m not talking special teams.
  17. Those “Beane is a wizard” posts are nowhere to be found these days…
  18. Earlier in the season I was offended when any power ranking had them over the Bills. I thought they weren’t on Buffalo’s level. And I wasn’t alone. Even Eagles fans said “I don’t think we’re as good as Buffalo or KC, but luckily we’d only have to face one in the Super Bowl and anything could happen by then.” Like KC, they’ve been fortunate to avoid adversity. They’ve had injuries toward the end of the year, but largely skated through okay. They also don’t beat themselves as evidence by their low amount of turnovers. Oh and they had close to the NFL sack record, so that DL is a great one. If I had to put money on one team, it’d be the Eagles. They’ve been a machine for the most part.
  19. As a HC who once had to strip playcalling duties away from his coordinator, I think it’s time to move on from Frazier and the nickel defense he runs even on the goal line. Seems like it plays more like Dungy’s Tampa 2 and less like Jim Johnson’s anyway.
  20. But yes, let’s keep Frazier since he’s proven time and time again to outsmart the better offenses. /s
  21. I’m sure status quo in the coaching staff will get us further than we’ve been next year.
  22. Assuming we already had the QB, I’d go Parsons. Guy is a freak of nature. EDIT: Just re-read. My mistake. Still would go Parsons if he could throw the ball a little. If not, then Allen.
  23. I think it’s less about his contract year and more about having a better DL in front of him. When healthy the DL was pretty good, still had bad games where you wonder what was going on, but with Von and Greg on the outside, a healthy Oliver and Jones on the inside, and a quality backup like Phillips, they weren’t the worst in the world and Edmunds benefitted. Translated into Milano’s first “first team” all pro too. Thing is, I need a LB that can make plays when all isn’t perfect in front of him. And that hasn’t been Edmunds.
  24. It’s not just the trenches. Beane also passed on a number of game breaking wide receivers and had the temerity to say if he had a shot at someone like Ja’marr Chase he would’ve ran to the podium with the card. They’ve had shots at receivers on, or close to Chase’s level yet didn’t pick any of them. That’s an evaluation issue. They selected Elam in the first this year and he had games where he was a healthy scratch. Thats inexcusable. Beane hit it out of the park with one pick - Josh Allen. That’s it. He’s been “good” on a few others, but no other blue chippers or game breakers have been selected under his watch.
