No, but some around here may be a bit unhappy that Milano made it and Edmunds didn’t.

Why play our first round CB when we can continue to see Dane Jackson get cooked down after down?
-
Just looked up the stats for the Broncos/Chiefs game. I see Mahomes with another machine-like effort minus the INT.
-
I’m not overly surprised he’s producing once given the chance. I was one who held out hope that he’d work out based on the positive press he was receiving alongside Gabe Davis their rookie years.

Buffalo News analysis of Tremaine Edmunds this season
Brand J replied to dave mcbride's topic in The Stadium Wall
Edmunds has had a fine season, but when we were getting gashed by the Dolphins, I felt it was exhibit A of why he shouldn’t get a substantial $14M/yr+ contract after this season. Allocate that money to the offense, specifically OL, and let Bernard or a rookie compete with AJK for the position opposite Milano. Sure the defense won’t be as strong, but seeing as how they never really shut down a top offense, it’s better to get Josh the help he needs to sustain a high level of play. For a team up against the salary cap, tough decisions will be made… -
Continuing yards after catch (YAC) mystery
Brand J replied to Inigo Montoya's topic in The Stadium Wall
No hate, it’s true. I’d even go so far to say that he’s a streaky passer. Some games he’ll have all world accuracy where he does throw receivers open and just places the ball in the absolute best spot it could be, while the other 66% of his games he struggles with accuracy and placement. This year he’s been struggling with decision making too. I’m just hoping it’s more that his concentration is built for the playoffs than regular season. -
Continuing yards after catch (YAC) mystery
Brand J replied to Inigo Montoya's topic in The Stadium Wall
1) We don’t have a timing based offense designed to get YAC yards. 2) Our screen game is terrible. At least under Daboll the WR screens were somewhat effective. Under Dorsey, yards from the RB/TE/WR screens are virtually non-existent. 3) Ball placement still seems to rear its ugly head for Josh, thus eliminating some YAC opportunities. -
Bills open as 1.5 point favorites against Bengals(O/U 49)
Brand J replied to Big Turk's topic in The Stadium Wall
Chiefs fans will be rooting hard for the Bengals of course, but what’s interesting is that they hate Bengal fans much more than Bills fans and if forced to root for one of the two teams to win a championship, the overwhelming majority would pull for the Bills. This according to Chiefs planet posts. -
Bills open as 1.5 point favorites against Bengals(O/U 49)
Brand J replied to Big Turk's topic in The Stadium Wall
Bills were 1.5 favorites even before the two played today. It’s imperative we beat CIN next week and lock up the 1 seed, because it’d all but ensure KC and CIN have to face off while the Bills get the 4 or 5 seed in the divisional round. -
Thought he had 1.5 sacks this game. He was only credited with 1.

No chance either of these are happening. Have you seen Edmunds on a blitz? He’s the least impactful blitzing LB I’ve ever recall watching. If he gets an unimpeded path to the QB, sure he can close quickly, but if someone is in his way, doesn’t matter if it’s a TE, FB, or RB, he’s not beating that block. There was video of the Pats game last year where he was blitzing with a full head of steam and got stood up in the hole by a 5’10 220 lb RB. I had never seen that before where a player’s momentum just gets completely stonewalled against a smaller player. If he was a more physical and tenacious player, maybe he’d be better in this category, ala “Micah Parsons lite,” but he just lacks everything necessary to be a pass rushing demon, despite his size and athletic gifts.
-
Every LB in the league would look terrible against Hill. I won’t fault him for not making a play in those situations, even if he didn’t recognize Hill sprinting into his zone, but as I said, overall Edmunds just doesn’t impact the game in a way that suggests paying him $14M+/yr. He does his 1/11th and that’s fine, but it’s not worthy of a hefty contract.
-
FIFY. Humphrey was a superior IOL to Linderbaum and was available a year earlier at the end of round 2. He’s now one of the best centers in the game, if not the best.
-
Tonight is exhibit A for why I don’t pay Tremaine $14M+/yr on his next contract. He may have played well tonight, but he just doesn’t move the needle for the defense in a way that commands top dollar. He’s not a defender that shifts the game, never has been. Allocate his money to the OL, protect the franchise at all costs.

NFLN Saturday Colts@Vikings Game Thread 12-17-2022
Brand J replied to muppy's topic in The Stadium Wall
Not to make you feel even worse, but that was 4th and 18. Bills fell asleep after going up 27-10 and it cost them. Wish KC had gotten some of that medicine against the Broncos but they found a way to win. -
Well, it’s fine to say you don’t like my attempt at personalizing a song for the team, but what’s the purpose of being an a**hole about it? Because it’s the internet? I can always tell those who don’t create because you’d inherently have more respect, even if you did think it was trash. Take that negative energy elsewhere.

What was the furthest you traveled to see the Bills play?

LA to Buffalo against the Pack this year. -
Yessir! Man, that was a long time ago. Recession Bills era 😅

Orlovsky: Bills aren't as talented offensively as we thought
Brand J replied to Billz4ever's topic in The Stadium Wall
He’s dealing with an elbow, but he wasn’t overly sharp before the injury. If he didn’t have the elbow and was still playing like this what would be the excuse? He was 28th in QB rating after week 6 going into the Jets game last Sunday. -
Yeah the shout song is tradition. Nothing’s going to change that. Just thought the team needed something more customized instead of that C Murda instrumental I kept hearing. I picked a darker beat because that has a dark tone to it as well. But hey, looks like some would rather have the C Murda instrumental than this one, so to each their own. It’s all subjective. And the idea of it playing after a crucial stop or turnover on downs is brilliant 😄

That was around in 2016, right? First Bills game I went to was Rex Ryan vs Cardinals. Think I remember seeing that before the opening kickoff. Not sure why they’d scrap it.

No need to apologize.
