  1. Didn’t know that at the time. All I knew were the numerous deep shots the Bills were taking and failing to pick up, then here we are with a 3rd and 1 and throwing deep again. That’s why I couldn’t get excited when I saw him launch the ball. I was numbly angry if that makes any sense.
  2. When the Bills need 1 or 2 they might go for 30 too 😂 When it was 3rd and 1 and Josh uncorked that long one to Shakir that was completed, I was so numb to the attempt that I couldn’t even celebrate that it was caught. All I could think at the time was “he better have completed that.”
  3. It’s who he is and we’ve gotta hope the good outweighs the bad and that he’ll bring home trophies in the process! Correction on his amount of turnovers: he’s had 32 turnover worthy plays, but has turned it over 22 times. 10 fumbles weren’t recovered by the opposition.
  4. Have I ever said otherwise?
  5. Fumbles are fumbles, whether lost or retained, they keep stats of this. They don’t keep stats of “almost” INTs so that’s a silly argument. If Josh fumbled 32 times but the defense recovered 2, we’d still say “Josh needs to stop fumbling, lucky for us we’ve recovered almost all of them.” There’s nothing misleading about listing the number of fumbles and INTs combined, they’re stats in the record book. And Josh has a combined 32 in the regular season and the playoffs, most in the NFL. It is what it is, despite what you only care about.
  6. The first INT was not on Brown, I don’t know how or why that became the narrative here. Even McD put that on Josh. You also have to see the overhead view of the play to see what’s going on. I didn’t like the throw at the time, but looking back at the overhead view, it was there to be made… if Josh had led him properly. Brown had a field of green in the direction he was running (which was like a deep post), but Josh threw the ball towards the sideline, which got Brown all twisted up. There’s no way that INT was on Brown. The second pass hit a Dolphin’s arm, not Beasley’s chest, but that’s a bit on Cole for not driving back to the ball. Perhaps equal blame for Josh and Cole on that one. It wasn’t all that open of a route, which necessitated coming back to the ball. I would agree that Shakir should have caught that pass, but it wasn’t perfect. If you see the overhead view id the play again, he absolutely roasted his man and got on top of him quickly. A better (or perfect) throw hits him in stride for a TD, not one he had to slow up for. There was not another DB back there, it was a layup deep ball, but not the best throw. Still, Shakir absolutely should’ve caught it. The throw to Gabe deep along the sideline was also not the best, he had a step or two on his man and a better throw goes for 6. It was another ball he had to slow up for and it gave the defender a chance to break up the pass. You’ve absolved Josh Allen of blame on all these passes, everything was perfect or dropped in your eyes, but that’s not the case.
  7. I agree, he believes he can get out of any sack and it costs him. Fumbles happen a lot of times when players fight rather than go down. On the same token, we love it when Josh gets out of a potential sack and throws a laser when the rest of the defense lets up, so it’s a catch-22 of sorts.
  8. What purpose would I have to intentionally mislead? Why would your mind even consider that? It’s not like I’m an opposing team’s fan trashing on Allen. If anything it’d be that I got the numbers wrong - not intentionally - but just being careless, like the Bills are with the football 😅 I kid. Anyway, he had 14 INTs and 13 fumbles in the reg season. That’s 27. He had 3 fumbles and 2 INTs against the Dols. 27+5, there’s your 32.
  9. Didn’t realize how open Shakir was on his drop, a better ball there and it’s an easy TD. Same with the go ball to Gabe up the sideline that was bobbled in the air. No QB hits them all, but the Shakir one should’ve been a layup. Oh and the John Brown INT was a curious throw. Brown had nothing but green grass in the direction he was running but Allen threw it towards the sideline and he got mixed up. For those who say that INT wasn’t on Allen, listen to McD’s presser, he disagrees.
  10. Josh has a combined 32 INTs and fumbles on the year (including playoffs) most in the NFL. He always says “I’ve gotta do a better job protecting the ball,” but then the game starts and well… The offense often feels like it has ADHD and can’t have that surgical focus for an entire 60 mins. How much more dangerous would the Bills be if they seldom turned the ball over? Hopefully those gaffes won’t be our undoing. Beane did say the playoffs are often a microcosm of the season, exposing what ails the team the most.
  11. Well, I said before it was effective in getting sacks (7), turnovers (3), and a defensive TD. The Bills don’t score 34 if the opposing offense can sustain drives and we know the Chiefs can. If you tell Spags he can get the sacks and turnovers Miami produced I guarantee he’d take them. You can play a boom or bust defense if your offense is a threat every time they touch the ball.
  12. Well, don’t lose perspective. If you told the blitz happy Chiefs they could get 7 sacks, 3 turnovers, and a TD on defense if they modeled the scheme Miami played, they’d take it in a heartbeat. As we know the KC offense is nothing like the Skylar led Dolphins that couldn’t sustain a drive, so there’s no way the Bills would have time to score 34 against that team.
  13. Chiefs and Spagnuolo also play a blitz heavy defense. I’m sure they’ll be looking at Dolphins tape if that’s the matchup in 2 weeks.
  14. I know Milano had a couple, generally they were doing really well when blitzing, but with 4 down DL rushing Skylar had time to survey most plays.
  15. Need pressure from the front 4, they kinda disappointed today against another banged up OL. I need Groot and Oliver especially to be at their best.
  16. The idiocy of that call doesn’t beat Russell Wilson throwing the ball from the 2 yard line in the SB.
  17. He’s a better passer than Josh, his floor is also higher, but when both are at their best and on their A game, I don’t think Burrow is a better football player than Josh.
  18. A Tua led Dolphins team would’ve beaten the Bills today.
  19. McD’s timeouts never lead to anything great. Like actual defensive stops. I think back to last year’s playoffs when he called two on consecutive drives only to give up 44 yards in 13 seconds.
  20. A timeout is MORE valuable than a 5 yard penalty.
  21. And KC and Bengals fans are rejoicing!
  22. Bills aren’t impressive in this one. Too many mistakes, which is a microcosm of the season. What did Beane say? The playoffs expose the warts of the team and with this unit I feel it’s concentration. It’s like they get ADHD and can’t play consistently error free.
  23. Probably easier to accept this team doesn’t have what it takes to win it all this year. Seems more mental than anything. Up 17-0 against the Skylar Thompson led Dolphins and go into halftime even? Wow.
  24. That’s the first of Edmunds career!
  25. Wouldn’t have wanted to se him jazz up the crowd for this game. But against the Bengals next week? Talk about a full circle emotionally charged atmosphere!
