  1. Man, thought I just saw a #40 in blue run past the camera 🥺
  2. Would’ve liked either one of Cam Lewis, Siran Neal, or Jaquan Johnson to be inactive in favor of Benford, but I know how valued special teams are with this team.
  3. People always feel threatened and want to discredit whenever a potentially good QB comes out of the blue. Hats off to Purdy, I have zero ill will towards a 3rd stringer getting his shot and making the absolute most of it. It’s the American dream.
  4. They actually say “Chargering” here. I think “Boltsy” is cleaner though.
  5. Okay, so I guess I’m not allowed to mention the last unheralded QB I thought would be a bust. Purdy is NOT Brady, happy?
  6. I didn’t say he’s the next Brady, only that the last QB I thought would suck the more starts he got was Tom. What direction will Purdy go? Only time will tell, but he’s not likely to be a first ballot HoF QB. I see much more Romo in him than Brady.
  7. Purdy is impressively poised for a rookie. The last unheralded rookie QB I thought would tank after the league got more film on him was Tom Brady and we all know how that turned out.
  8. There was some talk about him being ready for the playoffs, but I hope you’re right. They didn’t look too impressive against the Giants 2nd team.
  9. Oliver is a bit frustrating to me. I was always on the “re-sign Oliver before Edmunds” train because he has shown he has the capability to wreck games, but then he’ll disappear for 3 or 4 games before having another really good one. Someone said he’s playing hurt right now, but I’m not sure what dollar amount you put on a player like that. His floor/off games need to be at a higher standard.
  10. Would’ve been fun to beat the Dolphins at full strength, but in all honesty we deserved the bye week too, so I’ll take it.
  11. Less stability if the disc is replaced? I heard those replacement discs are better and more durable than the ones our body naturally creates. I’m also poking around for info comparing the two procedures because at some point I’m going to have to see about replacing a disc in my lumbar region, which is a little more difficult than the neck.
  12. Many aren’t talking about this reality of an Edmunds contract in Buffalo. If he’s set to make substantially more than his all pro teammate, Milano would have to get a raise as well. If not, I’d expect a hold out, a disgruntled teammate, and no one here could vilify him for that.
  13. It seems like ADR is a much better procedure than ACDF, both in practicality and healing time, so why would someone opt to fuse their vertebrae together rather than replace the disk? What am I missing here?
  14. And not just the red zone, but Allen had some of the worst INTs this season that I’ve ever seen from him. And I’ve watched every snap he’s taken dating back to when he replaced Peterman in the Baltimore game. Too many times he threw the ball directly to a defender, just some head scratching decisions.
  15. Well, there was that one guy who said Von Miller was a disappointment and not much of a loss 😂
  16. HOT TAKE given the announcement of the All Pro Team: If Tremaine Edmunds produced like Matt Milano I don’t think these threads would go on for long. There wouldn’t be this much back and forth over the value he brings and if he should be kept. It’d be near unanimous - make it work, whatever the cost.
  17. Congrats to Matt Milano, well deserved. EDIT: Also, it’s a bit concerning for a potential BUF vs PHI matchup that Philly has 4/5 OL who received multiple All Pro votes, either first or second team.
  18. So he hasn’t been medically cleared to play? Only practice? If he hasn’t been medically cleared to play he’s probably not playing at all this season. I don’t see a week here or there making a huge difference.
  19. He should’ve had a longer leash here, but when he was cut at the end of the preseason to keep special teamer Jake Kumerow - despite having the better preseason for the WR position - I knew he’d never get a real shake in Buffalo. Hats off to Daboll for giving him a shot and to Hodgins for taking advantage of it.
  20. He has a fast burst off the line, think I remember numbers from last year that put him number one on the team in terms of DL snap and reaction time, even better than Jerry Hughes. Problem is he doesn’t always bend around the tackle like he does in this video. Good quickness, but lacks the flexibility to be a consistent pass rushing threat. I’m not looking forward to more Mahomes loopty loops while no DL can catch him.
  21. I’ve argued this same point. Why spend a high dollar amount on a player if that player doesn’t produce high dollar plays against the better offenses? I get and understand Von Miller, TOTALLY worth the investment given what he brought to the defense, but since it’s already difficult to stop the better offenses (the NFL wants it that way), I’m not shelling out top contracts to any defender that can’t wreck the game. If you want to know what my definition of “wreck the game” means, go back and look at Von Miller versus the Chiefs. We need more of those players, everyone else can walk if their value is too high.
  22. I just don’t want Lamar on the Dolphins. It’d be a nightmare having to defend all that speed. Jackson, Hill, Waddle, and Mostert. 😱
  23. I didn’t disagree with the evolution of the game, it’s undoubtedly a passing league now, but I did disagree with your characterization of what he alone brings. I also hate when people cherry pick the Vikings halves like Edmunds is the sole reason why the D went to poo. Jefferson went off that second half, the entire team was just oddly complacent after going up 27-10. It wasn’t solely an Edmunds issue. Cousins played out of his mind that second half and the DBs couldn’t get a stop. If Edmunds was on the field do they win that game? Well, I think they do because they should’ve won it without him out there. The Browns game was a mess, given what the team was going through at the time, so was the Lions game. And the Lions actually had a very good offense this year. To attribute both those games as exhibit A on how much Edmunds is missed… I can’t get behind it. Remind me, did Edmunds play in that Jets game where we were gashed on the ground to the tune of over 200 yards? Where the Jets had an embarrassing number of consecutive rushes and we couldn’t stop anything? Oh wait, the 200+ yards wasn’t against the Jets, that was against the Packers, a game Edmunds also participated in. The Dolphins also had close to 200 yards rushing as well, did Edmunds play in that game? Those results weren’t solely an Edmunds issue no more than the games you cited. They were a collection of defensive faults, more than 1 guilty party was to blame. One man doesn’t change that, just as one man didn’t change the entire Vikings game 2nd half collapse. I want Edmunds back at the right dollar amount, we have no viable alternatives behind him right now, but I’m not breaking the bank to keep him. I’d rather invest in the offense, specifically in the trenches, and give Josh the help he needs to sustain a long and fruitful career.
  24. Not to attack you or your post specifically, but some of these elevated Edmunds takes reminds me of the past, where a decorated hero meets an admirer in person and their response is always “I thought you’d be taller.” Edmunds is a good player who has had a solid year; even came up with his first interception after being soclose on a number of throws. But some of you describe his abilities and presence on the field like he exceeds a Luke Kuechly or a Brian Urlacher. He’s not a future Hall of Fame player with what he has shown thus far in his career and thusly, neither erases the entire middle of the field, nor is he a run stopping missle. Will he be extended? Who knows. But if it’s anything north of $13M (which I’m sure it will be) I think that will be a mistake given the escalation of the other contracts we have on this team.
