Really? He looked borderline useless last year.

Dewayne Carter played deep into the game last night. Now, it's possible they're just testing him at both interior DL spots and wanted to get extended looks at that, but it's also possible his job is in jeopardy. He'd probably be a trade candidate as opposed to an outright release, but it's clear he has a lot of work to do to carve out a regular role for himself on this team.

Got it. I turned it off in Q2 so I must've missed the second one. -

? I swear he lost the challenge. It was ruled a catch. -
If you are cutting Hamlin, do it now...

Safety is far and away the worst position group on the roster. They have to fix it, quick. It’s a disaster. -

Good Night / Bad Night - Pre-season game 1
Coach Tuesday replied to GunnerBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
I don't think it's that, I think it's about his health. If he holds up the entire season I could see them offering him a market contract to stay another 3 years. If he doesn't, he'll have to decide what's best for his career and might end up taking less to stay put. -

Agree with every single one of these except the last one. For the first time maybe ever I liked Hamlin’s game. -
The analysis should be on Pegula not McD. Look at Terry's comments in HK Ep. 1: "Hire competent people and then trust them to do their jobs." Look at Kevyn Adams' tenure. McD isn't going anywhere.

Somewhat surprised Hamlin wasn’t listed as the starter at least on the first depth chart, usually they give deference to the vet. Bishop must really have put on a show this offseason.

This is why you don't use a 2nd round pick on a very good RB who lacks elite measurables. When they perform like a very good RB who lacks elite measurables, you aren't going to want to pay them...
-
No they absolutely would not. The Patriots just drafted Keyvon Henderson in the 2nd round and are pairing him with Stevenson who is on a 4 year/$36M contract. Sane or not, it's August, no current team is going to trade a pick for Cook and give him a $15M/year deal. His max value is to his current team and current offense. He's not a player you can design an offense around and he's not elite enough to overcome a lack of blocking or poor play calls. He's a great system back for a team like the Bills with an elite QB and o-line. No team is paying James Cook $15M/year.
