  1. A trade up for Worthy - and taking him before Thomas is even off the board - is very possibly the surprise Beane move we’re all talking about Friday morning.
  2. I know it and you're right. But still... that was a game that was there for the taking (they pulled away late) and they would not let him throw the ball. How can he be a top five pick in that scenario? It would be unprecedented. But I guess maybe he was just hurt and they were trying to power through it.
  3. I just can't get past that Penn State game. I get that he was hurt but they were hiding him - they would not let him throw the ball.
  4. He supposedly is just not very bright - he may just be answering honestly.
  5. They are trying to sell PSLs for a new stadium. Among like 10k other reasons why this would be insane.
  6. Been saying it. Find a way to come away with 2 of the top 6-8 receivers in this draft. Plus another one later and a few more UDFAs.
  7. The Chiefs LOVE Polk and I wouldn’t be at all surprised if he’s their first round pick.
  8. I oddly think he could be used as a "big slot" type (spare me the "your mom" jokes here please). When you watch him run drills he's surprisingly fluid and agile. Maybe he'd be better off on the move than as a boundary receiver.
  9. Just fyi, that same piece by McGinn notes concerns about Legette's intelligence. He's not only a one-year wonder but he's also a late bloomer and the whispers are that it's because he's just not very bright (or perhaps, to be fair, learning disabled). In any event I would think that's just as much if not more of a red flag for this regime than Mitchell's Type 1 diabetes. This regime likes students of the game.
  10. https://theathletic.com/5416007/2024/04/16/nfl-drafting-methods-insight-massey-thaler/?source=user_shared_article Great article from the Athletic. Basically says that teams routinely over-estimate their own ability to predict player performance and as a result overestimate the value of their own specific picks. Instead, they should maximize the number of lottery tickets they’re buying. Thoughts?
  11. He’s a FA after this season, which limits his value unless the acquiring team is sure they can extend.
  12. I think they’d rather give him one more chance under a new secondary coach.
  13. What’s better - Aiyuk at $30m/year (reportedly what he wants) or A Mitchell on a rookie contract? As I’ve been saying - Beane should find a way to land TWO of the top 5-6 rookie WRs from this class.
  14. Totally agree. A trade up for Thomas if he falls, or trading up one or two slots for Mitchell or McConkey, then an aggressive move up to the top 8 of round 2 to “double dip” is my dream scenario, AND I’d add a vet like OBJ. Two kids who can grow together (Worthy and Thomas, Ladd and Mitchell or Legette) and you’ve fixed the position and cost-controlled it for four years without leveraging your future with a massive trade up. Plus add a vet like OBJ and suddenly the worst WR room in the league is one of the deepest.
  15. The Stephen A. Smith-ization of sports tv shows is why I don’t watch them anymore. Who sits and watches two guys yelling at each other about things that dont even matter in life?
  16. He’ll get more guaranteed $ than $3.5M in his new deal regardless, unless things really go off the rails for him.
  17. This is a strong IOL draft - bizarre move but on-brand.
  18. Who is his agent holy moly. Got Diggs and his impossible to trade contract traded to his preferred destination, got him more guaranteed $$ for 2024, and got him the opportunity to get himself a new deal in 2025. That is superb representation right there. Wow.
