  1. I thought he played well last night?
  2. He’s just a bad GM. He is replaceable and I’d make the move if I were Terry.
  3. They don’t have elite speed. They don’t have elite power. They try to win on both offense and defense with precision, because they don’t have the talent to do anything else. They give themselves the smallest margin for error. If not for Allen they’d be a 3-4 win team.
  4. They do not play with enough confidence or physicality.
  5. The Thursday night product is terrible. Always. I was worried sick about injuries coming in and wasn’t surprised they got bullied and battered against a tough defense on the road on a short week. It’s just a really tough ask. As for the coaches, Brady is clearly limited but I just don’t know how much coaching is to blame here. The problem is personnel. It is a matchup league and the Bills have just not acquired enough matchup winners. That is on the GM. Maybe genius coaches steal another win or two or three maybe - but that’s asking a lot with how poor the personnel is especially on offense. I know folks are sick of McDermott but to me he’s not the villain and I worry about who would replace him. Brandon Beane, I would fire without hesitation. He is fully replaceable. Since he gave Allen the big dollars he has drafted terribly and they needed the exact opposite. He’s just not a very good GM.
  6. It is very odd to me - but in a way makes complete and total sense - that McD seem to favor the exact style of offense that his D has the most trouble stopping. It is almost Freudian.
  7. Some of my thoughts: This was a game where we really missed Ed Oliver. There was almost no disruption up the middle and it would’ve helped on some of those long third down conversions. The Bills were helped by Bowles doing Bowles things - the bad challenges and poor clock management Jets fans know all too well, plus not going for it on that 4th and 2 (come on we were all feeling like they would’ve converted it). The Bucs are talented and scrappy but Bowles is an odd gameday manager. I am hard on Beane but you can see glimpses that the plan for this year could’ve worked. When you squint your imagination a bit there is a world in which the defense got an infusion of young and faster talent from the draft, younger vets like Dorian, Dewayne and Cole improved, and older vets like Bernard, Benford, Rapp and Milano didn’t fall off cliffs in the same season. And on offense if Keon was a professional who was doing more than the bare minimum to hone his craft, Palmer and Kincaid were healthy, etc., it could’ve worked. And I suppose it still can work - a lot needs to go right including getting through some tough road games without anymore major injuries - but it is not impossible. Gabe catching that 4th down pass on the first drive felt like a potentially season-altering fork in the road. Josh’s confidence in the entire system seemed to grow throughout the game starting at that moment. Can you imagine if it had clunked off of his hands? Watching Miles Garrett get like five sacks for a losing Cleveland team - Beane should go all in trying to pry him away this offseason. He would be the missing piece on d.
  8. I don’t think you hated to say it.
  9. How do you stop a player who can make that insane rope throw to Shavers AND barrel his way into the endzone for that final TD? He is a unicorn, GET HIM MORE WEAPONS.
  10. Keon Coleman is so bad he has made me like watching Gabe Davis.
  11. Agreed - he definitely does not seem to be trying to get the ball more!
  12. They’ve surely know. About Keon’s attitude and reliability issues for weeks - this week was clearly the last straw - making it even crazier of Beane to hold the line on a 2027 first rounder for Waddle (if true). I’d fire him.
  13. I will NOT have you sully the name of Reid Ferguson on this fine Sunday!
  14. The biggest mistake he made was not double-dipping like he did with Benford in the Elam Draft. Coleman, man, what a clown. You have all of that God-given talent, a free path to targets, and Josh Allen as your QB. Work hard and you’re headed for a nine figure contract, no exaggeration. Some people are just low character.
  15. Let's make sure to post this stupid fluff video every day for the next fourty years guys.
  16. I haven’t read all 14 pages but my hope is that Josh is in between two stages of his career but is still ascending. Progress is not linear in most professions and aspects of life generally. Maybe he’s transforming into an elite pocket passer but needs to do it his particular way. That is my hope at least.
  17. You wonder if he has an internal mandate to achieve year over year competitiveness, because of the uniqueness of the Buffalo market - they cannot, like an LA team, afford 1-2 terrible years because they mortgaged the future. I don't know if that's the case or not, but it would make sense to me.
  18. Also Metcalf. But you are arguing with State Media.
  19. At some point you keep doing that you turn into Doug Morrone: a guy who would rather lose his way than win someone else’s way. Beane’s stubbornness is on the verge of becoming his undoing.
