  1. I mostly agree but not about a 1T at 30. To me that would be the exact opposite of aiming high and taking the risk of failure. You are 100% right that Roseman is willing to swing for the fences. Beane - despite his hilariously wrong “Big Baller” nickname - nearly always plays it safe and hits it down the fairway and in that sense he and McD are in lockstep. They are a risk-mitigating organization even though they otherwise operate well. “We’ll blitz but only if we play our DBs way back just in case…”. “Make sure we have a vet in every position room because we need to keep the kids on mission in case the coaching doesn’t take.” “We’ll move around the draft board but only if we don’t lose too many mid-round picks.” “We’ll pay for veteran receivers but only after we buy three more vet linemen because Sean’s defense needs new old blood every year.” A one tech at 30 would be a pure safe need pick that is super unlikely to get a second contract and if they did it would likely be a bad use of cap dollars.
  2. Yipes man calm yourself. You asked him to respond because his emojis were triggering you and he did and then his response triggered you… it’s not like he was personally attacking you he is just disagreeing just relax. You’re a good poster having a rough night.
  3. 1000% this - “was” is doing all of the work in that comment.
  4. Stef has played the $$ game pretty darn well over his career.
  5. Oh he’ll be a great mentor for Hunter…..
  6. Disagree. The injuries were all the more reason to vary things up and break tendency.
  7. Groot says he ran the plays as called and was supposed to not guess and crash inside. So that begs the question - who was responsible for outside contain for the bootleg keeper if not him?
  8. One key to elite coaching is knowing the opposing team’s “rules” on offense and defense. If you know the rules - “if we show Y they do X” - you can use that knowledge to beat them. Elite coaches change up their rules in high leverage situations or make them too hard to discern. Our coaches are just not elite in this regard - McD seems to fall back on “what got us here” in high leverage situations. It may never be good enough.
  9. You just did it again. Enough. Keep everyone’s Johnston out of your mouth.
  10. Look at you coming out formunda nowhere!
  11. Maybe he should focus on learning how to pass block.
  12. The top five trade up scenarios will not work for this franchise. They have to stay financially afloat every year and a new stadium coming on line in 2026, for which they’re already well behind when it comes to PSLs. They can’t afford in this market to truly go “all in” at the expense of future years. Yes they can take some risks but they can’t abandon an entire draft class or two. LA teams can afford to do it but not Buffalo.
  13. Not the right guy to mentor Travis Hunter.
  14. Kromer has largely righted that ship though, is my point. But yes - pro personnel evaluation and fit has always been an issue under this regime.
  15. I honestly am not sure what the OP's main point is. In any event, except for Murray who retired due to age and Harris due to injury, all of the players on that list are still in the league and most are signed for above the vet minimum. So those aren't players who can't play - but they are players who the Bills could not for whatever reason integrate into their system. There is some kind of disconnect between the pro personnel department and the coaching staff that has persisted throughout McBeane's tenure. Offensive line (as the OP points out) is a notable exception - I am guessing because Kramer is clear at explaining what he wants and Beane and his lieutenants understand what to look for. But they struggle identifying free agent fits at nearly every other position group for reasons that frankly are confounding. It is a clear weakness of Beane and McDermott that does not seem to exist with respect to drafted rookies, whom they tend to have good plans for and a decent idea of fit/role. Not so much for free agents for whatever reason but it's a material weakness of the organization to this day. Something about their process does not work.
  16. I read the same thing, a couple weeks back.
  17. Welcome to the internet in 2025. AI-generated crap is everywhere.
  18. There is something to be said for leaning into your strengths.
  19. Also today is the 5 year anniversary of the trade for him so that’s why. Calm down everybody.
  20. I’m sure he’d be super content to be the 4th or 5th wide receiver in an “everybody eats” offense. And I’m sure the Bills would be super content with having him in the same receiver room as a young and impressionable Keon.
  21. I assume it’s in this thread somewhere but for folks who don’t know, his great-grandfather was one of Capone’s most brutal enforcers: https://www.sfgate.com/49ers/article/49ers-Bosa-is-great-grandson-Tony-Accardo-16802616.php
  22. Ok but at some point he has to get his act together during The Window. Last year’s draft was a critical draft for him given all of the vet departures and his first three picks did not make serious contributions during the season (Keon was ok until the injury). This offseason they have some cap space to use and spaces to fill but so the overall haul has been expensive and underwhelming. He needs to stop treading water and start taking bigger swings to maximize Allen.
