  1. All the more reason it needs to be the Steelers.
  2. Moss being out might force Daboll to stick to the strategy that got them here, blessing in disguise.
  3. There have been several games this season where the other teams’ receivers are catching jump balls and the Bills’ D is missing tackles and they need Allen to bail them out. Not the best formula. Also, if Luck hadn’t retired, the Colts would be up there with the Bills and Chiefs as the class of the AFC.
  4. It’s not a conspiracy it’s just incredible incompetence.
  5. Hines might be more of a concern today than Taylor. Screens all day.
  6. Am I wrong? If I am, just tell me. You supported the kneeling? The Floyd protests?
  7. WAIT A MINUTE. Not that I have the time or care enough to wade through the sewer of your posts during the George Floyd protests but if I did grab a shotgun and flashlight and read back through your drivel, I can almost guarantee you were 100% on the other side of folks’ exercising their rights to air “legitimate concerns” back then. Do you have ANY self-awareness, whatever you are? Again - I can almost guarantee you were in the “stick to sports” crowd when athletes were kneeling. You kill me man.
  8. Trumpers are not conservatives, they are radicals. They seek to “conserve” an imagined past, not dissimilar to the National Socialists who, while espousing conservativism, were entirely radical in their destruction of longstanding institutions in the name of restoring some completely made-up fallen order. Just like Jihadists don’t really believe in God (if they did, they wouldn’t have to do His violent work for him), Trumpers are not conservatives, they aren’t patriots, and they sure as hell don’t love this country - they feel like it has robbed them of what they had coming to them.
  9. Not really no. Conservativism is the idea that institutions should be designed so as to prevent any one person, or an angry mob, from appropriating too much power too quickly. Our Constitution is a deeply conservative document - separation of powers was a genius way of making sure that the electorate could vote in a complete idiot or psychopath and they would not be able to do too much damage. Donald Trump put that system to its ultimate test. His candidacy, combined with the destructive power of social media/the internet and a horde of angry underclass scarred by decades of economic and educational neglect, was a near-perfect assault on conservatism, ironically. It is a radical cult movement seeking to tear down the status quo, under the false invocation of conservativism.
  10. This thread is a roll call for you-know-exactly-what.
  11. I don’t think it’s unique to conservatives - it’s a symptom of narcissism. Which by the way runs rampant here. The posters you mention are hardly the “personal responsibility” types...
  12. Dude has been yelling “fire” in a crowded theater for four years. Inciting violence has never been protected speech in this country.
  13. What happened to you, man? This board went downhill? You miss the days of DR’s runaway train conspiracy/hate porn threads - in which you seemed to enjoy participating and giving him accolades? Your false pretense of objective intellectualism, your self-appointed license to insult by your own rules, your sneering narcissistic tone - none of that makes the board a better place. You have been dethroned as the Sewer King, does it sting?
  14. Great equalizers in the playoffs are good offensive lines, vet QBs and solid defensive coaching. Better be ready for a battle tomorrow.
  15. Wow that’s an interesting read. So Q correctly predicted that a bunch of TSW posters would reveal themselves to be complete nutjobs?
  16. 100% this will be the Colts’ game plan. They can’t afford to sit back and let Allen carve them up - they’re gonna try to force turnovers early and take their chances that it might backfire. They have no choice.
  17. This is fair. I am torn on SALT. As a professional (attorney) in the Tri-State Area, it was my lifeline to home ownership in an otherwise unaffordable market for those of us who make less than $1M/year. Basically it made home ownership comparable (if not cheaper) to renting in NYC for those of us who could scratch together the downpayment. But I recognize that it was a handout. I'm not technically "middle class" in the national sense - I'm upper-class compared nationwide. But in NYC and the surrounding suburbs, I'm definitely upper-middle class and I'm competing with finance professionals for real estate. When Trump took it away, it hit my pocketbook HARD. And it seemed punitive (directly targeted at the NYC suburbs who voted against him). If he really wanted to remove a rich tax "loophole," he could've dealt with the carried interest tax advantage that PE and hedge fund professionals use to pay a much lower tax rate than the rest of us.
  18. As are some posters here.
  19. And you’ll be hard-pressed to find anyone here who actually supported looting and burning over the summer, you crotchety old geezer.
  20. His “base” is a bunch of dumb angry a-holes who deserve the Con they’re falling for. She was right they are deplorables. Florida can’t fall into the ocean soon enough.
  21. Post your academic credentials pls. Just curious who these thought leaders are. You don’t even know who “the left” is. Yesterday you were posting Zuckerberg conspiracy theories straight out of 1940’s Russia or 1890’s Prussia. Substitute “Rothschilds” for “Zuckerberg” and it’s the same basic idea - the unseen hand of the Jewish banker class stealing what rightfully belongs to the pure race. Honestly, get bent.
