  1. Houston's dysfunctional ownership continues to screw up the league, and it disproportionately affects Buffalo. To recap: 1) Trades 2 #1st to Miami for Tunsil, giving the Dolphins a top-five pick; Tunsil wasn't extended in advance, giving players in a similar position additional negotiating leverage. 2) Trades Hopkins for peanuts; Hopkins single-handedly beats Buffalo in 2020 3) Hires David Culley instead of Leslie Frazier, giving extra draft capital to the best GM in football 4) Likely trades a top-five QB in his prime to the AFC East
  2. Cody Ford is a horrible football player. Injuries aside, I see very little instinct, technique or commitment to getting better. Would love him to prove me wrong but I’m very skeptical he will.
  3. The most important part of what he said was that Milano himself wants to test the market.
  4. He coordinated the worst passing attack in football yes? You do you, Houston.
  5. Wouldn’t be shocked if Frazier turned it down already.
  6. The Epanesa pick seems to have been bungled. They got zero help from their top draft pick (yes, Diggs, I get it, please) in a year they could've used it. Chinn would've been a huge boost to the defense.
  7. They’d have to go back to the players’ union and that would create a leverage opportunity. So I doubt it happens.
  8. And I still don’t understand what it means.
  9. He misevaluates their talent for sure but he didn’t screw the cap up - they’re on very team-friendly deals, if he wants to let them walk and try again he can do that fairly easily.
  10. Has he? They can easily get out of all of those contracts this offseason except Star’s, and that’s only because Star opted out.
  11. Put it another way - KC has accumulated so much talent that Beane and McD might need to rethink their approach. It’s not going to be good enough to field a team with a great QB and 21 other guys who play well within the system. It just won’t work - KC won’t make enough unforced errors, and their sheer talent will win out most times. The Bills need to ramp up their speed and aggression, and create more mismatches, if they want to dethrone KC.
  12. He needs to work on his upper body strength and his assertiveness generally. Contested catches were an issue (except for one particular catch) and he would’ve benefited from working the refs in a few games to get some calls.
  13. Do you by any chance have a side piece named Kelci? Your unique autocorrect has been giving you away lately!
  14. As for Whaley at least he swung for the fences. He just missed. He had no real idea how to build and run a football team but he tried to collect talent for his coaches to coach. Everyone failed at their jobs during his tenure - including ownership.
  15. You’re playing against Tiger Woods in his prime. You have two choices: hit it down the middle and hope he has an off day, or try to hit the snot out of the ball and maybe go down swinging. Beane and McD trend towards the former. It’s a middle management approach to sports that doesn’t really do it for me but in McDermott’s defense, he has gradually learned to be more aggressive and ruthless. Sunday was an unfortunate step backwards. I really hope we never have to see that approach again.
  16. It sounds like he was right? McDermott decided during the week before the game that his team couldn’t run with the Chiefs and he never really put his players in a position to win. You’ve got to hope he learns from it and that his players have a short memory about their coach not believing they could win.
  17. Dude just had the best quarterbacking season in franchise history. It’s his third year. He has so much God-given arm talent he has not yet had to even begin to master his short game. He will have to adjust and why wouldn’t he? It’s the easier part of the game to get better at as a QB. That and understanding how to use a running game (checking into the right runs etc.) will take him to Grand Master level and extend his career. It will happen probably as soon as next year.
  18. Maybe? Take a look at how Todd Bowles defends the Chiefs in two weeks. Might end up with the same result but I guarantee he won't sit back and let his guys get punched in the mouth repeatedly.
  19. And no one with two eyes thinks that defense is capable of beating an elite offense.
  20. Good writeup. Bad look for the new DL coach that he couldn't get ANYONE to improve their play, and several regressed.
  21. He absolutely cannot play NT in a 3-4. He was misused in college. He doesn't have the length for LE in a 3-4.
