  1. Not sure I can deal with Romo for this game. He was like a coked up maniac in the foxhole on Sunday. Way too amped and spastic for me. On that 4th down play I thought he was possibly having a seizure.
  2. This 100% does NOT tarnish Brees's legacy. He's always been a max contract guy, as is his right.
  3. I could see Brown being a cap casualty this offseason - he just can't stay healthy enough to justify his price (which isn't high, but still). The Bills are in prime real estate for a trade down in this draft, and if they can pick up another 2nd or 3rd or 4th (and maybe another 2021 3rd if Houston hires Frazier), they will be in great shape to snap up some cost-controlled replacements for the inevitable veteran departures, not to mention depth.
  4. What they should do? Trade Sean Payton to Philly for a 1st. He might not want to stick around for the rebuild and it would give them a much-needed cost-controlled asset.
  5. TE, OLB/EDGE, CB2, C are needs where there is usually good value in the 28-32 range.
  6. What's the hit if they outright cut Thomas? He's an expensive luxury at this point and he didn't really help them get deep into the playoffs this year.
  7. He didn't keep himself in top shape this offseason and Pollard looked like the better back. Saquan Barkley and Leonard Fournette are two other backs drafted in the top ten who haven't helped their teams reach the next level. McCaffrey is great when he's healthy; when he's not, the entire offense falls apart. And none of these backs are worth the premium you have to pay to draft and then re-sign them as compared to a replacement-level running back.
  8. The national media is basically convinced that the Chiefs have been waiting for the playoffs to turn up the intensity and that they can do so at will.
  9. I would’ve preferred “The Buffalo Yakuza” - opportunity MISSED.
  10. The solution is not to go back to those same college scouts and ask them to evaluate more early-draft running backs...
  11. That would make three “day one” picks used on running backs in three consecutive years - for a passing team...
  12. That would be 3 premium picks used on RBs in 3 years, for a passing offense. Would be borderline insane. Tight end on the other hand, you help the running game, the short passing game, opens up the offense, etc.
  13. You don’t say?
  14. Great article on Diggs from Tyler Dunne. How about this gem? Sometimes it’s better to be lucky than good: “A blizzard of this magnitude requires juuuustthe right amount of barometric pressure. So in truth, in Buffalo, it’s been three-plus years in the making. The search for a No. 1 wide receiver began almost immediately: Sean McDermott’s first draft in 2017. That night, McDermott was smitten with Zay Jones. The wide receivers coach he had just hired (Phil McGeoghan) coached Jones at East Carolina so the Bills gave serious consideration to drafting Jones at No. 27 overall after, gulp, trading out of the No. 10 pick that landed Patrick Mahomes. They were close — very close — to pulling the trigger. After further discussion, the Bills instead opted to wait and draft the cornerback who was higher on their board: Tre’Davious White. And they got their receiver in the second round.”

  16. Wasn’t crazy about some of his decisions. On a couple of the wasted throws downfield he had guys wide open underneath and there was no need to push it. They could’ve controlled the game more than they did. I suspect that was a big point of emphasis at half time.
  17. We have a new winner! Thought it would take longer.
  18. It is one of the dumbest takes I’ve ever seen and that’s saying something. Almost a brain-dead position.
  19. They’ll get a haul because of the bidding war. But it won’t be equal value. There is none. There are like 5 guys on the planet with his proven ability.
  20. Use yours. Watson signed a big extension last September, long after Bob McNair made his comments.
  21. Receivers get traded. It happens a lot actually. Franchise QBs in their primes do not.
  22. But worse. They will destroy their remaining ability to attract quality free agents and coaches. The locker room will be poisoned. I’m telling you it will lead to McNair having to sell. You simply cannot do it.
  23. If they trade Watson they will not recover for years. Like a decade. You CANNOT do that.
  24. Disagree that TB shouldn’t be on the list. They have what, 1 more year of the TB12 Experience?
