I cannot wait to see which GM gives up two firsts for D Carr. -
Adam Gase . . . seduction coach?

This was not very funny. -
But why is that? He didn’t want to follow in the footsteps of the GOAT? Didn’t want hard coaching?

If the Lions were really playing 3D chess (they never are), they’d flip Goff to the Bears for a 3rd and eat half the salary. Then they’d be subsidizing a division rival having a mediocre QB (which is a colossal upgrade for the Bears) for a few years, plus some of the salary would come off their books.
-
How? The floor price for TRADING Goff just got set at a 1st - they’d need to throw one in to get rid of him!
-
Detroit arbitraged their own suckitude - they convinced the Rams that they were holding Stafford back from being elite. Hilarious. But the price was cheaper than I thought - basically one 1st for Stafford, 1 more for taking Goff’s contract. This might actually push DOWN the price on Watson.
-
Sure - so long as they stop drafting like the Lions...
-
Honestly think they’ll take a shot with Winston next year and reset in 2022 if that doesn’t work.
-
Bears/Niners/Panthers make sense for Watson if Houston smartly trades him out of the AFC. Could the Falcons get big eyes about the haul the Lions got and trade Ryan? If so New England makes a ton of sense there.
-
Stafford broke his back last year. FYI.
-
Goff is going to get murdered behind that line. The Rams sure are doing things differently - they don’t use the draft anymore. They traded a future 1 for the right to draft Goff, traded a 1 for Brandin Cooks, traded 2 number 1s for Ramsey, now two more 1s for Stafford. In a way you could say that Goff has cost them four #1s!

I didn’t (and don’t) even think AJ was the BPA there. -

In retrospect, Chinn would’ve been the pick. -

Correct. Asking him to completely change his body type and game in a shortened rookie offseason was an epic player development FAIL. He needs a much better offseason plan this time around. -

Will Fuller has bad hands and Josh throws darts. I know that’s a very specific objection but I don’t think he’d mesh. -

https://www.syracuse.com/buffalo-bills/2021/01/bills-brandon-beane-on-tough-decisions-looming-in-offseason-matt-milanos-future-in-buffalo.html “Matt is a very good player. What a great job he’s done since he came in here to improve from 2017 to now,” Beane said. “We’d love to be able to get Matt back. He knows that. ... The business side matters. He wants to and he’s earned the right to go to free agency and see what his market bears. We’ll do our best to retain him and as many guys as we can. We just don’t even know the numbers yet and what it’s going to be. There’s going to be some tough decisions unfortunately for us. Whether it’s letting guys go on this roster or having to watch guys leave.”
