  1. I swear you can set your watch to it - every single thread that starts with “hear me out” (or my favorite, “here me out”) is an absolute trainwreck.
  2. Oh we’re good, just wrestling with each other on the floor here over whether Rex Ryan roofied Terry Pegula into hiring him and trading for Shady McCoy and how that all relates to Andy Reid and Deshaun Watson. You?
  3. The price undermines the outcome. What is a young top-five starting QB worth? 5 first round picks? What happens to that QB's career once he gets to a team that just stripped itself of assets in order to acquire him? And on the other side, what happens to the credibility and efficacy of the franchise managers who trade him away? Their players and fanbase turn on them instantly and they may never get that trust back. It seems to me that it is in the interests of both parties NOT to do a trade...
  4. Wouldn’t have made a difference. Too many jailbreaks with the tackles out - Mahomes ran for something like 500 yards between the snap and the ball leaving his hand - simply incredible. Between being undermanned on the offensive line and the officials “surprisingly” calling a tight game (just because, I’m sure, not to help Brady in any way), the Chiefs stood little chance last night.
  5. That’s the right approach. They CANNOT trade him. It would be unforgivable, especially for an organization that has made so many critical mistakes.
  6. Wait so all we needed was a pass rush, running game, tight end and the GOAT at QB? Hope you’re taking notes, Beaners!
  7. Life hack: play back the Tom Petty halftime show during every subsequent half time show.
  8. Norman is so different from the impression of him that I had. Really good dude.
  9. This is where I dial in to the opinion poll, wait on hold for 8 minutes, then select “3 - UNDECIDED.”
  10. Does he love football? I don’t think so.
  11. Agreed but he seems to be interested in Vegas and I don’t blame him.
  12. Now it’s telling me I get two free articles this month. Maybe they’ve gone to a subscription model for me only?😂 You are, without a doubt, the oddest poster on this site.
  13. There is no way he gets traded within the division.
  14. Carter Hutton is terrible. As for the rest of this, you might consider relaxing a bit. It’s an internet message board. Nobody actually knows who you are. Most of us have no clue what you claim you were right about (but if your prediction was that Luck would be coming back - you’re still wrong).
  15. Odd. I can’t access that article without paying.
  16. Do you seriously feel mocked?
  17. Tipster one of these years you’re going to get one of these right.
  18. I read Albert Breer’ tri-weekly columns at Sports Illustrated.com. IMO he’s the best in the business and has surpassed Peter King whom he replaced and who has become a bit of a caricature. Earlier this week I noticed that the SI.com website had changed - for the worse, making it harder to find content and somehow even noisier (the “ESPN.com Look”). Today I visited the site and was surprised to see that I couldn’t access Breer’s latest article because it’s now behind a paywall. Members have to pay $7.99/mo or $5.99 if you sign up for a year. I’m not signing up. I love Breer, and Andrew Brandt and Emily Kaplan are good as well. But I don’t find any other content of theirs to be worthwhile. I already subscribe to the Athletic and love it. I’d probably pay $1 more per month if Breer moved over to the Athletic. I read PFT and Football Outisiders, and the occasional Ringer and 538 articles. There’s enough content out there already. I get that these sites need to monetize better but the subscription model only works if the entire platform is compelling. Does Sports Illustrated really think it can compete in this space? It’s already behind other websites that give their content away for free... Also put off by the fact that there was no advance warning of this (that I saw), and the timing of it - a few days before the Super Bowl - seems bizarre. If you’re going to take advantage of the media blitz leading up to the game, why not advertise the heck out of it and explain why you’ll be offering something different/better? Seems like yet another Big Media faceplant. Will anyone here sign up? I’d be curious.
  19. Very specific - just tell us her name.
  20. First of all the first round picks were not this year's - they were 2022 and 2023. So they're already worth less than 1st rounders in 2021. And one of the two firsts was clearly an exchange for taking on Goff's contract. The Lions got a 1st and a 3rd in "real" value for Stafford, and another 1st for the Goff contract, as I see it.
  21. Stafford basically went for one first.
