Agree completely. Not the right environment for a Mad Scientist type - I wish him well but I don’t think his piles of notebooks will serve him in this role.

When they traded for Diggs it was heralded as this Earth-shattering epiphany: McBeane finally being comfortable enough with the state of The Process to take the bold step, to make an aggressive move for that final piece of the roster puzzle. For many teams that’s just a normal offseason activity, acquiring a high-priced piece of talent. It really should just be the MO at this point. Fine to be cap-responsible but you’ve got about ten years of the Allen Window left and you CANNOT squander it like the Packers have done.

I tried. Watched the opening kickoff and realized I’m still mad.

My takeaway from that PC was they’ll look for 1-2 more good TE options instead of Beas - can at least run or threaten to run out of their formations whereas with Beas in you’re basically announcing to the defense that it’s a pass.

In no sane universe was McGahee a good pick for that team in that draft. None. Was a borderline criminal act by Donahoe.

Its not really their approach though. KC keeps going after more skill - they acquired Watkins, Gordon, and rumor has it they’re going to go hard after OBJ this offseason. They traded a first for a LT, signed Bell, etc. If Kamara became available they’d be the first team in line. And they’ve done the same on defense in terms of targeting pass rushers, Honey Badger etc. Not all of their moves have worked out but they keep trying. I wish the Bills pursued skill as aggressively as KC does - the skill disparity was on full display last weekend.

Congrats and wish him well. He frustrated me often but he played a huge part in Josh’s ascent and honestly he’s better then 3/4 of the OCs league-wide. Some of his predecessors here trotted out some weak-ass schemes.

Yeah me too - not sure about "character concerns" but I wasn't crazy about his public griping about his benching, I mean dude you fell down over your own feet and lost the ball in a critical game situation. I know it's a common knee-jerk reaction here always, but there does happen to be a team in our division that needs to add some speed at the WR spot and whom McKenzie just happened to play his best against this season...

This staff has a nearly unblemished (aside from the one jerk who quit in the middle of opening day) record of developing secondary players who they draft or sign. Nearly all of them have become the best versions of themselves in this defense under this coaching staff.
