Bills were reportedly shopping Adolphus Washington
Webster Guy replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
he was such a beast in college and rookie camp what happened to him? -
Sorry but the more I see these glitzy, billion dollar stadiums the more I like Orchard Park and Lambeau field. I draw the line at places like Notre Dame where you get a wood plank seat that's about 12 inches wide per person, that's too uncomfortable. But these new stadiums are ridiculously over the top. For 8 games a year and possibly one or two playoff games now and then, it sure seems like overkill to me man.

Deshawn Watson is better then Tyrod. Yes I said it
Webster Guy replied to 17 Josh Allen's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He looks good. Wait until another 10 games in when NFL defensive coordinators start breaking down film and tweaking game plans to exploit his weaknesses. Then you'll know what he's made of. I hope he does well for Houston they need a spark like New Orleans did after Katrina. Give them some excitement to take their mind off the fact that Houston was already an ugly oil town BEFORE the floods and it's even worse now if that's possible. Getting a franchise qb would be sweet for them, and the kid seems as nice as they come.... -
Derek Carr - Emotional? Or a Jerk?
Webster Guy replied to Gugny's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
dont know the guy but he had the NFL turned upside down last year with that offense then he gets hurt and they crash n burn. now its a rocky start to this season and he might be looking at more weeks off and its probably killing the guy. definitely sounds like a jerk there but it might not be his usual self. -
A Few Thoughts About the Falcons Game
Webster Guy replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
you are missing the point on the ryan fumble. i was too until Kelso explained it perfectly. This was not your typical "is his arm moving forward when he loses control of the football? " Matt Ryan clearly lost control of the football BEFORE his arm was coming forward. It is now a fumble, not a forward pass. Miraculously, he sort of recovers the ball with his finertips during the throwing motion and pushes it forward, but he never regained possession or control of the fumble. one caller said big ben did the same thing a few years back and they called it a fumble for the same reason. under review, the criteria the refs were using had nothing to do with arm motion and all about whether or not he re-possessed the ball, which as you could tell by the fluttering ball he didnt. Kelso was all over it. -
Ultra conservative play calling at the end
Webster Guy replied to Steptide's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
yup. and knowing Julio and Sanu are out, that changes your decision making. great freaking win -
they will just activate the BarnYardDawg. He can represent. Beane is taking the trendy "any back will do" approach, and staying thin at rb until the need arises to bring in more depth. I wonder what Beane would have done with the TD Mike tender. I think Whaley/overdorf screwed up there. They gave Dareus 16m per year but wouldnt pay Mike G 2 million.

Bills only had 10 men on the field on final 4th and 1
Webster Guy replied to HappyDays's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
this gets back to what i was saying last year about having a bills employee up in the box that does nothing but count players on the field. they have a direct line to mcD's headset and they call down a timeout in those situations. get a stupid intern up there, or even a monkey. such a simple fix to a surprisingly common nfl problem -
OK...so saw the replay of the game
Webster Guy replied to John from Riverside's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
he has to regain control of the ball once he loses control during the throw. take a look at how the ball flew, did that look like he had control of the ball? . -
Sean "Big Steel Balls" McDermott
Webster Guy replied to Gavin in Va Beach's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
i think he kicked on that 1yd 4th down because he knew julio and sanu were out and our Bend Dont Break boys would keep em out of the endzone fwiw i loved that inside slant to Matthews for the TD play call there. he didnt make it but its a solid call by dennison -
and belichick guaranteed him $40M. GENIUSSSSSSS

My favorite all time play of his (with the exception of the skins game in toronto where he dominated the entire game and was an unblockable nightmare for them) was just last year in the last dolphins game when he ran down Jarvis Landry from behind and tackled him on a dive. Basically an impossible play for a 330lb dude, still fresh in my mind. He has such talent below the neck.

How would you rate Dion Dawkins 1st start?v
Webster Guy replied to CEN-CAL17's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
he wasnt on Von for more than half his snaps, and his run blocking was average. struggled in protection, got surprisingly little help from TE's from what I saw. p. s. still think Groy is our 3RD best Olineman and would like to see him in the rotation more when Miller is slumping -
Fans burning their NFL apparel on social media...
Webster Guy replied to eball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
there is no chance this miniscule part of the NFL fan base will be missed. this is a sport whose television draft coverage had better ratings than playoff level hockey and hoops. the nfl has a dope for a commish and now the players have somehow offended some fans who believe the flag represents the armed forces instead of the nation itself, but it still wont matter one bit. American Football is the best sport ever invented and doesn't need marketing or even a good image to thrive. The awesomeness of the sport itself stands above all else, and this pissed off 1% wont be missed. at all. . -
i'd say he'll end up grading out as a B by the end of the year, which is great considering he was essentially a freebie. Had a great Jets game, so-so Panthers and looked pretty good against Denver. For me the excitement is in the d-backs. 100% turnover and might end up a top 5 defensive backfield, overpaying for nobody.

i split the sunday ticket with another guy. he uses the streaming option by hooking his laptop up to the tv via hdmi. cuts price in half. makes it reasonable anyway. if you have directv sunday ticket and you're not using your streaming service you should consider hooking up a buddy who is tight on cash. as mentioned earlier you can only login ONE person so don't give it to multiple people unless you coordinate who will use it when, and be sure the other guy signs out when he is done using it.

Anybody besides me going to the game in Atlanta?
Webster Guy replied to TC in St. Louis's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
that stadium will be a great experience, but notice the lack of attention paid to the game by the people of atlanta. Not be judgemental but the last time I was there, half the stadium was cheering on offense, quiet on defense, and the other half just talked and ate and ignored the game. Not my kind of sports town. As bad as Miami and LA in that regard. Plus no tailgating, its all parking garages. I got to meet Arthur Blank there, he's the man. Super nice and humble dude, even if he does look like a supervillian. Shanahan owes that guy a ring. -
i dont care how elite he is at the receiver position, I am so glad this punk is not on our team. Whenever the Giants are on, the cameras are glued to him, and the announcers talk about him constantly, even when he doesn't play. Maybe its because the Gmen dont have much else to get excited about, but either way its too over the top for me.

whether or not they win games has nothing to do with this. Steelers will always have Bradshaw down there, Balt will always have the guy who lied to everyone to cover up a murder, niners won a lot after Montana but he's down there frequently. Its just part of the NFL family approach. I can see Hughes point and I can see JK's point. Just like many family disputes, this will get worked out and forgotten. JK also has helped with recruitment such as the Mario Williams signing, etc. .

Gamer. Hyde, Poyer, Gaines and TreD exceptional group of guys and they're just getting started. Gaines has had that shoulder keep him out of lots of NFL games in the past, hopefully he's past it.

I'm Surprised by Zay Jones' Slow Start
Webster Guy replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
he had that amazing catch in preseason and i remember thinking Man this kid is gonna be a great one for us. he cost us a win already by cutting that route short in the Carolina game, basically a mental error according to Donald Jones. And now he has the yips and is on a streak of 3 drops in a row. He's going to come out of it though. Right? -
Our Oline is ripped up right now. A rook at LT, Miller very inconsistent and Mills just doesn't seem to have the skills to hold up on the right side. You guys think it makes sense to throw a rookie in this offense right now? He'll get slaughtered. Any new qb really needs a year on the bench, Peterboy could probably get in around week 10 if we get things ironed out, get Cordy back and start showing we can protect our qb. Until then we need Tmobile in there.

What if we still had Hogan & Gillislee?
Webster Guy replied to BBills14's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
TD Mike got let go over $1M. Dareus gets $16M. Nice job Doug.
