  1. I did post them via Aaron Quinn...why do you insist I'm making this up especially since they are positive about hughes??
  2. Well this would suck, but it's probably a safe bet this team is drafting at least one interior oline in the draft anyway within the first 3 rounds.
  3. Assuming we sign a proven veteran starter at DB and call it a day, Beane can truly draft best player available in the draft at DB/LB/WR/QB/etc. Also speaking of QB have to believe this team will sign a veteran there too even if it's not nearly as high profile as Trubisky was last year.
  4. No because I still want a veteran DB over a rookie. No way we can go into the season with the current CB depth chart as is + draft picks.
  5. Still puzzling he's on the roster but even more puzzling that his deal was restructered in a way that didn't give us the option to dump him right now without cap ramifications. Either way would be shocked if he's on this roster heading into camp.
  6. I honestly never thought Miller was an option because he hinted he wanted to go back to Denver or resigning with the defending SB that traded for him was most logical option. So the fact he chose the Bills over both those teams (and possibly others) says a lot and on paper he's by far the better option than Mack if anything because of his championship experience.
  7. null Here's the link to hughes PFF page, you have to be a suscriber for premium content but here's also a blurb from Aaron Quinn on said numbers which have been published before on twitter via PFF: https://www.pff.com/nfl/players/jerry-hughes/5556 Again, I'm not bashing Hughes I'm just not a 'pressure' guy, I'm a 'pressure + sack' guy.
  8. I just want this team to get over the hump. Again, nothing against Hughes and i'm not jumping for joy because he's not here anymore. I just think we have a much better option now and would be in favor of letting guys like Rouseau/Basham get the bulk of the snaps on the otherside of Miller. If Hughes (or Addison) come back to this team so be it, it's not going to make us worse.....
  9. Another under the radar type of move that didn't get much attention because of the Miller signing. Howard was buried on the depth chart in Tampa but has shown he has big play potential and could be a 'baby gronk' type of player for this team.
  10. I'm sure he'll have better options with a contender and the vaccination stuff is a non issue now especially with the NFL dropping all covid protocals. Don't be surprised if he ends up with one of the AFC West powerhouses as they all have QB's and offenses that would love to add a player like him to the mix especially Josh McDaniels and his fetish for pesky slot type of guys like Edleman/Welker/etc.
  11. Still need major help at CB, now way this team can enter the season with Dane Jackson, rookies, and Tre White who won't likely be ready or close to 100%.
  12. Yep truly sad, this actually creates a big hole and no McKenzie is not a some sort of drop in replacement no matter how hard some folks beat that drum. Hoping the window is not 100% closed on Beasely returning on a much cheaper 1 year deal.
  13. Go look on PFF and you can find them. I'm not making anything up. Again - Jerry Hughes has consistently been among the leagues best the last few years in CREATING PRESSURES, but again it doesn't matter if you are facing a QB like Mahomes and don't finish, those 'pressures' become meaningless and the lack of hard production is amplified (i.e. sacks, turnovers, etc) This is why Von Miller is now here and Hughes is not, it's that simple....and Hughes would be signed by now if teams actually cared about pressure vs. sacks.
  14. Your right it's just an opinion just like those that feel he's somehow entitled to be here no matter what happens each year apparently. Like I've said all along just with players that have come and gone here through the years, it's not about personal like or dislike for the person, it's about the business side of the situation. And yes credit McDermott for transforming this team from a perenial bottom feeder/forever 7-9 type of squad to where they are now but there's no way the Pegula's are throwing around this type of money the last few years to be content with division titles and losing in the divisional/AFCCG. It's SB or bust now and everybody behind the 4 walls in Orchard Park knows this.
  15. Yes and anybody that thinks otherwise is in a state of denial. Allen has shown who he is. Beane has also risen to the occasion and made a somewhat out of character move to get this team over the top. It's now time for McDermott (and Frazier) to seal the deal and if he can't get him the hell out of here ASAP and find someone that will.
  16. Still can't believe this has really happened. Kudos to Beane for doing what needed to be done and putting this team in prime position to finally win a SB this year.
  17. I would honestly take Addison back at this point over Hughes assuming we still want another veteran option at DE in the rotation. The pressure numbers with hughes are highly misleading because of the simple fact when you don't finish and QB's escape said pressure big plays happens and look no further than what Mahomes (and JA17) have done over and over against the Bills and other teams that create pressure but can't bring him down. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if Hughes retires because I doubt any team is going to offer him much more than veteran type minimum contract based on his sack numbers in recent years.
  18. The cap is very real but the Bills are using strategic maneuvering like every contender has done in recent years (i.e. the Saints) to build and maintain a championship caliber roster. And just like with the Saints and every other team that does this, you can only kick the can so far down the road and eventually they'll will be pain points along the way in terms of having to purge the roster of veteran contracts. But obviously the goal is to win a championship(s) before that day comes and seize the opportunity in the current window.
  19. If another team really wants him and at his current salary they would probably be willing to trade a late round pick. Small chance he decides at the 11th hour to redo his deal and stay but realistically all signs point to his Bills career being over any day now.
  20. Jones is really the marquee name out there on the pass rush market and still think he'll go to the highest bidder (among contenders). So if the Bills do miss out better hope he doesn't end up on another AFC contender like Den or KC.
  21. I still don't think this means Watson is out of the woods and still think any team that would give multiple 1st round picks for him is crazy.
  22. In hindsight Foster's production in 2018 was a true fluke and was really the result of Allen not having anyone of note to throw the ball too. He might very well be finished in this league unless Daboll and Schoen take a flier on him for the Giants practice squad.
  23. I can't imagine the Pegula's are standing in Beane's way. If anything they probably greenlighted a move like this some time ago even if it means giving up multiple 1st round picks and/or backing up the brinks truck because that is what it's going to take to land a premier talent. And a true elite pass rusher does so much for the rest of this team that some folks may not even be considering including freeing up Ed Oliver more, helping accelerate Rouseau/Bashman's development, etc. Heck it might even make Edmunds look like a legit NFL MLB if he's still here.
  24. If we can't get Gronk I hope this team doesn't overpursue for a marginal player like this. If anything TE is a position I'm perfectly fine dumpster diving or spending a mid/late round draft pick on.
  25. This is what a lot of folks have been saying for some time now. It's not about building a roster to compete for the division and playoffs anymore, it's about fine tuning and making several crucial moves to position yourself for a championship(s) in the next several years even if it means having to kick the can down the road and eventually pay the piper so to speak. We've learned who Josh Allen the last few years and we will learn definitively who Beane and McDermott are in 2022.
