  1. Drake had a pretty solid run with the Dolphins/Cards, including a near 1000 yard season in 2020. But just goes to show how little RB's are valued in this league which is another reason Beane should pounce on any reasonable offer for Zack Moss if that's a possibility.
  2. This is a bit of a puzzling move. Nothing against Boettger, but he's really a dime of dozen type of player and given the nature of his injury I don't believe there is any real chance he plays this year so seems like putting him on IR for the season would have been a better decision and let him compete for roster spot next year.
  3. I don't see any team offering a 3rd for Moss 3 years after we drafted him in the same round. But for something like a conditional 5th/6th rounder I think Beane would probably be inclined to do it even if they know they probably aren't resigning Singletary after this season.
  4. That's obviously TBD. Epenesa had a great preseason/camp last year and awesome game in week 2 against the Dolphins but then seemingly disappeared the rest of the way. I still think he's a bit too small for DE and another guy probably better suited in a 3-4 style defense as an OLB. At this point I still like Basham over him as the 3rd DE option, possibly even Shaq Lawson who I've waffled back and forth on in terms of being on the bubble.
  5. Polian was still the best GM, just like Levy was still the best HC. I get the JA17 vs Kelly debate as well but bottom line for me as another long time Bills fan is this current group has to at least get to won SB before any of these comparisons are valid. Get to just one SB and win it and then there's a real logical argument obviously even if this group never returns to that stage.
  6. I would not have guess that Fosters career would be where it is right now after such a promising rookie season in Buffalo especially down the stretch when JA17 returned from injury that year.
  7. Moss would be my choice by default because I hate the idea of doing this RB by committee crap yet again when Singletary has proven himself and Cook will be pushing him for snaps as it is. This is still going to be a pass first team with Allen also eating on the ground and you can't split carries between 3 guys anymore. And considering how Ford has been showcased in hindsight, get the sense that's what they are trying to do with guys like Moss and Epenesa as well.
  8. No GM hits on every pick, especially in the 1st/2nd/3rd rounds. But it's hard to call someone a genius just because he flipped a bust for a 5th rounder. Not really looking to turn this thread into a a debate about Beane but I really don't see him as the messiah some think he is. This team wins a SB that's a different story but until then it's fair to criticize some of the more questionable draft picks he's made.
  9. Yes he's such a genius that he traded up for this guy and spent a 2nd round pick only to trade him a few years later for a 5th rounder.
  10. Yeah but sometimes bills mafia needs to tap the brakes on the over the top Beane love. The bottom line is that he swung and missed big time for a guy he coveted and traded up for. It happens to all GM's but saying 'OMG we got a 5th rounder for Ford' is a loss no matter which way you spin it give the circumstances.
  11. Despite not having the best camp/preseason so far I'd still be inclined to keep Howard over Sweeney if that's what's on the table. But if it's been even between him and Sweeney you get the sense they will still with the latter if anything because he's one of Beane's draft picks.
  12. This is an interesting move considering how well Ford has performed in Camp/preseason and all the hype about Kromer being the change that was needed to get him to finally perform up to his potential. With that said, it proves that camp/preseason doesn't mean much which is why I also expect more similar moves with guys like Moss and/or Epenesa being dangled as trade bait if similar draft picks are being offered in return.
  13. From the 'not so shocking news' feed, it will be interesting to see what Mayfield does in Carolina with some decent talent to work with especially if mccaffery stays healthy and on the field. But given the Browns current situation there was no way they could keep Mayfield on the roster knowing they traded and paid a fortune for his replacement even though he's not seeing the field anytime soon. Will be very surprised if the Panthers don't win the opening game convincingly given the revenge factor alone with Mayfield against his former team.
  14. I think with Blackshear he looks like a legit NFL RB unlike a guy like Christian Wade. But there have been many RB's like him that have come through Buffalo and other teams over the years that were preseason stars only to get cut and never be heard from again. Either way he's not making this team and will be destined for the practice squad unless another team wants him.
  15. No doubt about that but will see how much it matters given the ridiculous amount high end QB/WR matchups we face in the first 8 weeks. Have a feeling this secondary is going to struggle big time and we might find ourselves in a lot of shoot outs early.
  16. Hot garbage but at the end of the day the NFL wants to move on and knows that if they would have given a season long + ban that Watson would have appealed and been able to play and be on the field week one which they didn't want at all costs. Karma will eventually come around for Watson and the Browns and they are pretty much guaranteed to go no where this year anyway and will probably be sitting with 3 or 4 wins if they are lucky by the time Watson comes back.
  17. Your just making up stuff and you know it. After the Bucs game on Dec 12 the Pats were 2 full games ahead of the bills in the AFCE standings. Obviously we know how the season ultimately played but it could have been much different and the Bills were very fortunate to play a very soft closing schedule. Also nobody is fearmongering, just pointing out that other teams have talent and expectations too and aren't going to bow down to the Bills along the way which was part of the problem last year with this team's inconsistency.
  18. Still waiting for something official, but if this is true it's still very disappointing and sends the wrong message. But as for the Browns, there's very little chance they will realistically sbe in the playoff picture by then with Brissett as their starter and Watson will have not played in nearly 2 years by the time he's back so it's definitely a wasted season for them with some of the quality talent they have on that roster.
  19. People truly have short memories and seem to forget this team was a mere 11-6 last year and at one point trailing the Pats by 2 full games in the division late in the season. And no matter which way it's spinned their season ended in the divisional round last year. And while I agree that the Bills are the prohibitive favorites and team to beat in the division entering the season, that doesn't mean they are guaranteed to do that especially with how loaded the Dolphins roster is (which is still think is better than Buffalo in a lot of areas minus QB of course), and a feisty patriots team with a good young QB and 6 time WC head coach lurking on the sidelines.
  20. I'm a big McD critic, but this is the right move and this team needs to be ready given how difficult the first half of the schedule is. KC started Mahomes last week and Brady has always played in most preseason games as well. Can't afford to come out sloppy, overconfident and not ready like we did against the mediocre steelers team last year. Defending champs on the road and favorites to possibly repeat is a whole other animal.
  21. It's still way too early to draw conclusions, but this is consistent with all the reports coming out of camp that Benford looks like a real find and Elam has struggled consistently and doesn't appear to be close to being ready to start. Hopefully it all works out but still think that the Bills panicked when they traded up to get Elam because KC took the guy they wanted (McDuffie who BTW has looked like a stud so far in camp/preseason for them).
  22. It's not happening especially with JA's new contract kicking in next year. Same reason why Chiefs had to let honey badger walk and they traded Hill to the Dolphins. Poyer is a good player and will be missed but he's on the wrong side of 30 and definitely nowhere close to the caliber of safety James is.
  23. I still think Lawson has an uphill battle making this roster unless Epenesa is traded or the coaching staff truly believes they need 5 DE's on the roster because I just don't see them cutting a 2nd round pick entering year 3 no matter how bad he looks.
  24. They were the top team in the AFC last year despite being ravaged by injuries before Jackson got hurt. I think a healthy Ravens team easily wins the AFCN which is saying a lot considering how good I feel the Bengals also are going to be this year.
  25. I really think this team should move Moss ASAP why he may have some value. Because I truly loathe the idea of 'running back by committee' yet again this year when I feel that Singletary should be locked in as RB1 and Cook spelling him/being the WR option out of the backfield. Keeping Moss here ruins that plan and wastes valuable carries.
