  1. The Bills are being punished by the football gods for not bringing back the 1990s throwbacks this year, while the Giants are being rewarded.
  2. That's not really the point. The point is Delhomme recovered and could play the next season. This was 15 years ago too. The point definitely landed. I'm just coping through humor... and failing at it
  3. Jake Delhomme's arm at its best was about 25% as good as Allen's... but hey, maybe there's the chance of a surgery mishap that turns Josh Allen into Henry Rowengartner, allowing him to throw 100 yard dimes that hit Gabe Davis in the facemask and fall to the turf incomplete.
  4. Eagles, Ravens, and Dolphins getting better on Defense. Feeling like we need oline help more than anything else.
  5. Could it possibly be both? As in, Allen is a generational talent that, with Daboll, was able to realize his fullest potential and continue to have success post-Daboll?
  6. Tre making his return at home on Sunday Night Football would be awesome.
  7. The Bills O-Line shines so bright that Zach Moth cannot resist running into them.
  8. 100% This. I really think that Cleveland Monday night game where he threw something like 5 first half interceptions was what turned him into captain check down. Dude just had no confidence after that. But again, he really never was that good, and seemingly never actually liked playing football all that much. Dude always seemed like he would have much rather been at a Dodgers game.
  9. Agreed... not to mention the fact that we had the ball in the red zone multiple times in the 2nd half and couldn't score a single touchdown. The ball control plan was amazing—until it backfired in the 2nd half. I am convinced that Josh short-armed that ball to McKenzie because he had absolutely nothing left in the tank.
  10. My favorite thing about the Bills/Dolphins rivalry of the 1990s was that there was no social media.
  11. I don't know if Van Roten is rotten but I saw more than enough errant shotgun snaps from him against Tennessee to not feel great when I found out he was starting against Miami. There were definitely some issues with snaps during the Miami game... not sure if that was purely on Van Roten or if everything was just soaked with sweat. Either way, Morse is critical to this line and we desperately need him back this week.
  12. In all seriousness, glad he is okay and hope he makes a speedy recovery.
  13. Cancel the rest of the season. The injuries have gotten completely out of control.
  14. This also might just be me trying to make myself feel better lol.
  15. Most of the media reaction I have seen has been acknowledging that Tua is progressing but not wanting to overreact until they see it consistently from him. There's no denying that what Tua did in the 4th quarter was incredible... even if you want to point to the Ravens leaving guys wide open. Tua also made a number of clutch throws where he put the ball where only his guy could get it... including the game-winner to Waddle. I think Tua is better than a lot of Bills fans want to admit. He can get the ball out quickly and can be very accurate. That said, he can also be rattled, lock on to one guy for too long, and has the occasional errant throw. Josh Allen made some bad throws and missed some wide open guys in year 3. Josh Allen throw a 5-yard pass into the dirt on MNF last week. But it's very clear that Josh has transcended to a different level this year. The way he runs the offense and commands the line of scrimmage looks like Manning or even Brady. Add that to his absurd physical traits, and good luck stopping it. No one in the media is claiming Tua is better than Josh. But with this Miami offense, Tua just has to get the ball out on time and accurately. They can win a lot of games that way with the speed they have, and they'll be a playoff team this year. Bring the pressure and get him rattled. He'll make mistakes.
  16. I said this another thread, but dropping it here as well: Micah Hyde was a 5th round pick who never earned a full starting role in Green Bay. In McDermott's and Frazier's defense he shined. Jordan Poyer was drafted in the 200s and was primarily a backup journeyman to start his career. In McDermott's and Frazier's defense he shined. Levi Wallace was a 7th round draft pick. Maybe he didn't shine, but In McDermott's and Frazier's defense he played well above his projection. Christian Benford was a 6th round draft pick. It's still early, but In McDermott's and Frazier's defense, he looks like he will shine. If there is any positional group on this team where I believe a significant injury can be weathered, it is the secondary. Jaquan Johnson has been in the system for 3 full years and learning behind two of the absolute best. He'll give up some plays and make some mistakes, but I have a feeling he is going to ball out in this defense. And if there's a drop off from Micah to Jaquan, I anticipate it only being a small drop-off. I don't see them moving Benford or Jackson to safety... they like them too much at corner. This is Johnson's time to shine. If Johnson struggles, maybe they look to make a trade... but with the cap where it's at, I don't think they swing for any big name players. But again, I've got a growing feeling that #4 is going to hit the ground running.

  18. 3 starters in the secondary out against potentially one of the best passing attacks in the league…. will make one hell of a story when the Bills win.
  19. FWIW, this is on the official NFLPA Active Player website... https://nflpa.com/active-players/faq/should-i-get-a-second-opinion-on-an-injury Injuries are tough, but you have options for your care. We highly recommend getting a second opinion on an injury if: - Surgery is required - Your injury lasts more than two weeks - Your rehab seems questionable Remember we’re here to help you get healed and get back on the field. Contact your Player Director with any questions Also, how the heck is this all that's written about second opinions on the NFLPA Active Player website?!?!?
  20. That does it—flex the game to tonight. No one wants to watch Trubisky vs. Brisset, and I need an immediate resolution to the Bills' injury questions, dang it!
  21. I felt last year's playoff loss to the Chiefs for days after it happened. I felt last year's 4th and 1 slip against the Titans for days after it happened. The loss to the Jaguars left me in a sour mood for the rest of the day. I'd like to say that I miss the losing years because the games didn't matter all that much to me when my expectations were lower... but that simply isn't the case. Even when I had no Super Bowl expectations, watching the team start 5-1 in 08 and only win 2 games the rest of the way was rough. The losses hurt regardless if the team is good or bad because there was always some hope that the team would achieve more than you expected. That hasn't changed. So, no—I don't miss the losing years.
  22. Worth noting that the Titans are down their best CB tonight. Their most experienced CB was a was a 7th round pick. After that, it's a 2nd round pick from this year and Caleb Farley (who tore his ACL as a rookie last year). Sounds a lot like a our secondary minus Hyde and Poyer. Byard is a hell of a safety, but I'll take our guys against this Titans secondary, even without Davis.
  23. Home opener vs Seahawks in 08 is the last one I remember.
