  1. After the past several weeks, I would would welcome a few "boring" Bills games.
  2. How does this thread have 5 pages?! Some of you would benefit from taking a walk and getting out of your feelings. There's a lot of football left to be played and the NFL seems to get crazier every season. I'm not crowning anybody yet.
  3. Man, I feel so bad for the other guy that helped shovel... the guy who no one will remember (myself included)... simply because his name is not Squirrel Winters.
  4. I feel you — definitely frustrating watching Dallas dominate them. I think Dallas might actually be the best team in the NFC. That said, I do think we match up just fine against Minnesota. We were cruising in the first half and Minnesota had no answer. You take away the 80-yard Cook run (which I feel was mostly due to our defense being so depleted and backups taking bad angles) and the bad Josh Allen interception on 4th down and we likely would have won by 2 or more scores. But yeah, we didn't.
  5. Keith Ellison was just ahead of his time! He'd be a star in today's NFL! lol
  6. They're the 2020 Steelers and 2021 Cardinals. I think they'll still win that division but will be a quick exit in the playoffs. Man, we should have ran them out of the building last week.
  7. Headline: Bills fan angry that backups aren't Pro-Bowlers
  8. This team has played 10 games — primarily against playoff teams — and is like a half dozen plays away from being 10-0. And that's with half of the starting defense missing considerable time due to injury. Let's maybe take about 30% off the top in terms of worry. The offense will get humming again.
  9. I mean, McDermott went 9-7 with a pretty bad roster in 2017. I'd argue that that 2017 roster was on par with Marrone's 2014 roster. I find it interesting that a lot of fans default to the assumption that players become all-pro's, pro bowlers, etc. because they are automatically good players. I believe that it's more likely that players become all-pros and pro bowlers due to a combination of their natural abilities, coaching, and the system that they play — with the latter two having a significant impact. Would Jordan Poyer and Micah Hyde be All-Pros if they never signed with the Bills and played under McDermott? What about Matt Milano? Would he be a top 5 off-ball Linebacker without the coaching he received in Buffalo? These are rhetorical questions. But I don't think it's as simple as saying McDermott is wasting all-world talent. I think it's fair to say that McDermott and his system are a big reason why we have pro-bowlers and all-pro caliber players to begin with.
  10. I can't recall there being a more challenging gauntlet of a schedule than what the Bills have had — and still have — to go through this year. That said, if the defense can somehow get healthy and remain healthy, and the offense cuts down the turnovers, this team can win out. I still believe that when they play their A-game, there's not a better team in the league.
  11. This is the gut punch that I didn't need today... but definitely deserved. I'll do better.
  12. I made Buffalo wings before the game. The last time I made Buffalo wings was before the divisional round game against KC. Safe to say that I'll never, ever be making Buffalo wings again. Hell, I'll probably never even eat a Buffalo wing again.
  13. Isn't the football being pried out of Josh's hand what got us in this mess to begin with?
  14. they also needed a last second FG to beat andy frickin dalton, beat bridgewater by a score, needed to comeback from 10 down in the 4th on the vaunted hieneke led offense last week after heineke completely melted down.... they've faced ONE squad with a winning record that actually fielded their starting qb(eagles) and they got their teeth kicked in. The game is plenty winnable with keenum. literally every other game the vikings have stumbled through as shown that. .... oh then theres barely scrapping by the bears earlier in the season while fields still looked like a steaming pile of donkey sh** this vikings squad reminds me of the 2020 stillers that had the luxury of playing 5 or 6 backups on their way to being 11-0 and then completely folded down the stretch when the 4 leaf clovers ran out. 100% this.
  15. Headline: Bills fan disgruntled to learn 15 other AFC teams vying for #1 seed
  16. Little to none. I would wager that the fan bases of approximately 28.4 franchises would view Beane as a significant upgrade over their current GM.
  17. I believe Allen's actual quote was, "yeah, you know, it's a week-to-week league and I just want to do what I can to help this team win football games. Go Bills."
  18. Listen, has anyone here just tried driving over to One Bills Drive and asking what's up?
  19. I mean, he was a 12-year-old facing 100 mph heat... and he wasn't taking PEDs... how would you expect that first at bat to go?
  20. The point is more that the UCL isn't used very much in the throwing of a football by a QB so a UCL injury for an NFL QB is far less of an issue than for an MLB pitcher Sheesh, guys. I get it.
