  1. Yep. And the irony is that before the season started he came out and publicly proclaimed that, and I'm paraphrasing here because I don’t remember the exact quote, "I'm going to really be concentrating on my game this year." I think it was, "I've never been more focused on football than I am right now." He's in his head — thinking too much — not playing, not reacting, not having fun. I've seen Allen play lights out in enough big games to not reduce it to saying he doesn't play well when it matters. But there's something terribly wrong this year and anyone's guess is as good as mine.
  2. I live in Texas and the answer is no. But, would it be nice to be on the way up instead of the way down? Sure. Now, what the Texans really need to do is fight for their right to rebrand as the Houston Oilers. The Titans don't need to hold on to that heritage. That's dumb. And the Texans? Also a dumb name. It's like when the Charlotte Hornets left Charlotte and then a new team started in Charlotte but they called them the Bobcats. And then they got smart and said, "Charlotte Bobcats is a stupid name for a franchise." And they became the Charlotte Hornets again. So, I don't want to hear anything about Houston football until they go back to their proper name and have a head coach who wears a big 10-gallon hat.
  3. Trading for Daboll is: 1. A poor use of draft picks. This team needs draft picks to get younger, cost-controlled talent. 2. Going backwards. This team needs a new chapter, not re-opening an old one that also wasn't good enough.
  4. This is exactly the kind of chaos I want to see the rest of the season. I want every fan base to suffer.
  5. Oh, and at the end of the season, everyone will wonder if the team was actually just in purgatory the entire time. But the twist is that we, the fans, are the ones in purgatory.
  6. I think the actual Bills never made it to England... Their plane crashed on a mysterious island inhabited by a smoke monster and a group of scientists trying to uncover the island's secrets. No one knows where they are. You might even say they are LOST. Josh Allen is undoubtedly involved in a love triangle with Stefon Diggs and Evangeline Lilly. The NFL, trying to cover everything up, has found doppelgangers for everyone on the team, and while they resemble the actual Bills players and coaches, they're actually very bad at football. Dorsey's doppelganger was killed fired for threatening to reveal the coverup. Oh, except Gabe Davis somehow made it back and is still just bad at catching footballs.
  7. There was a place where I grew up called Job Ready. One day, we were driving past it and my grandmother said, "Joe Brady? Who's Joe Brady?" We laughed at her and said, "Oma, that sign says Job Ready, you wackadoo." So, I don't know. Joe Brady = Job Ready = Ready For Job? No. Probably not.
  8. I mean, I get it. He often has a lost stare this season... but he always had that when things weren't going well (he had that look against Houston in the 2019 Wild Card). And honestly, I think it's hard to get excited when you've turned the ball over 4 times against a bad team and it's taking everything you've got just to take the lead with 2 minutes left. He probably also knew the defense wasn't going to hold up. The team is officially whipped after these past few seasons. Nothing short of a massive overhaul to the staff and roster will help at this point.
  9. It's a start...
  10. I'm all-in for chaos at this point.
  11. Sometimes I get on this board and I read a thread and I put a lot of thought into typing a reply. And then I think, "wtf am I doing here?" and I delete everything I typed and get back to my day. This was one of those moments.
  12. Texans have a defensive head coach so they have absolutely no shot. That's what Colin Cowherd would say, right?
  13. Dorsey knows that if he comes down to the sideline he's going to get pelted with at least one billdo, so he's staying behind the glass.
  14. I was 8 when this game was played and wasn't allowed to stay up to watch it. So my mom taped it and I watched it the next day. I think I ended up watching this tape on repeat for the next year or two. For whatever reason, Karl Mecklenburg is what I remember most from this game. I don't remember what he did or any he plays he made. I just remember the name Karl Mecklenburg.
  15. I moved away from my hometown as soon as I graduated high school. Haven't kept up with many people other than superficially on social media. If an old friend rolls through town, I'll grab a beer with them and catch up, but it doesn't go much beyond that. I recently found out that one of my best friends in high school lost both of his parents in the past year. I haven't talked to him in probably 15 years. I loved his parents back in the day so I reached out to him to let him know that. Never heard back but getting a response wasn't the intent of my message, so it is what is.
  16. I'd say they're the only team that's doing pretty much exactly what they always do.
  17. Having a lot of cap dollars tied up in older players is going to open the door a little wider for bad luck. I don't think this is necessarily Beane's fault. The Bills have consistently been picking at the end of Round 1, lowering the chance of hitting on immediate impact players at a lower cost, meaning you have to invest top dollar into veterans. Perhaps he could have been more savvy in trading away assets to acquire draft picks, allowing more mobility in the draft, but that has only become apparent this year. The Bengals and Dolphins aren't that far removed from some really terrible seasons where they were able to acquire young, top-flight round 1 talent.
  18. I unfortunately watched some of this game. Bad football all around. Bears remind me of drought Bills. Panthers somehow worse than drought Bills. Just bad bad football. Frank Reich looks like he's averaging two packs of Marlboro 100s per day. I feel bad for DJ Moore.
  19. It felt like he’s trying to be knox there. Doesn’t need to be. His catch % is way too high to convince me he's trying to be like Knox 😆
  20. No its not. The other defender made a hell of a play that is very low %. Kincaid did nothing wrong. I get that the defender made a hell of a play. I get that a defender punching the ball out is low %. I appreciate that. But you can't tell me that going airborne doesn't increase the risk of fumbling compared to a player who keeps both hands on the ball and is tackled routinely. I'm not saying don't jump ever, but at the moment in the game, it wasn't the smartest decision from a ball security standpoint. I'm with you. I'm stoked about the kid. Hopefully a strong learning moment for him.
  21. I currently like the hell out of him Ugh. Same. Wait... we talking about Kelce or McDermott?
  22. Yeah, and it did have a big impact on our game, potentially costing us it. We had the momentum and if we had scored, who knows how Cincy would have responded. In that moment, Dalton Kincaid was a brick and as Chongli will tell you, "brick no hit back."
  23. I change my mind about Travis Kelce about as frequently as this board changes its mind about Sean McDermott.
  24. I don't disagree. All I'm saying is that it was easier for the defender to make that play because Dalton was head-over-heels with one hand on the ball. I'm not saying stop trying to get the extra yards, but have a little more situational awareness to know when ball security is more important than a few extra yards.
