"I want to play for a contender" The BIGGEST LIE in pro sports?
MPL replied to DrDawkinstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
Could the argument also be made that leaving the team that drafted you (and that team's fanbase) behind in pursuit of a championship and personal legacy is also a form of greed? It certainly felt that way when Lebron left Cleveland the first time. -
dude really missed Russell Wilson that much?

A man of culture!!!! Thanks, I've always thought of myself that way. oh wait, you were saying Justin Tucker is a man of culture, weren't you? Shoot.

He had to have been requesting footjobs, though, right? (I didn't read the article)

I don't think Lee Evans and TO are the solution at all.

I believe there's plenty of people here at TBD who would do what you suggested in a heartbeat. Hard to tell what's tongue-in-cheek vs what's serious these days. Understandable. For future reference, my tongue is always in my cheek 🙃 It's how I cope

Spags D is very personnel dependent. KC has more talent on defense than the Bills do to be able to make it work. Last 3 playoff games against the Chiefs the combines score is 95-89. The Chiefs are 6 points better against what most would consider a clearly inferior defense in terms of both personnel and coaching. Is Spags really that great? I think maybe you've taken me far too seriously.

Can we just trade for Steve Spagnuolo already?

They were washed, as evident in the season Poyer had in Miami and Hyde doing nothing this year. They had to move off them. The lack of continuity I'm sure hurt though but that's what coaches are for. Not saying they didn't have to move off of them. Moving off of them was the right move. But nobody was going to fill those two spots without a drop-off.
-
Certainly moving on from Hyde and Poyer didn't have anything to do with the drop-off in secondary play

You like punting from inside the opponents 40, huh? You would punt, too, if Russel Wilson and Justin Fields were your QBs. Steelers offense was so anemic by the end of the year that they had a better chance of scoring with their defense on the field.
