  1. thanks much, excellent points...I do expect Bills to draft a swing G-RT with the first pick as the draft is suppose to be deep in tackles and Bills will scrutinize for the ability to play both G-OT. I dont expect to start right away but perhaps in-season... I don't see the replacement for Morse being this pick, G-C, so this complicates what to do with Feliciano and I say keep unless someone blows our offer away. I see Ike B as the LG and Feliciano retained as RG and backup C to Morse. Ford likely to be starter at RT until rookie is ready. Not ideal as you mention Ford is mediocre at best as OT and much better at G which should help the running game.
  2. more cuts coming, market glut a coming to match the cap cut...including our own guys...the stars will get paid but as far as the lunch pail guys they may have to wait and sweat it out...
  3. no...have to expect more of these including some of our own...should be a buyers market which reflects the cap going down,
  4. yeah I agree that an extra bye week makes sense; rest and recovery first and then it adds flexibility for the Thurs nite scheduling where you can have teams avoid playing on only 4 days of rest and preparation and instead have them play that Thurs nite game coming back from a bye week...and then have the Super Bowl played deeper into Feb where the game is played the night before the presidents day holiday - a Monday, a federal holiday.
  5. CBS - Brent, Phyllis and Irv with Jimmy the Greek - one man still standing - very little Bills coverage other than the score or quick highlight featuring the NFC team scoring due to CBS being the NFC network back in the day...memories...may he rest in peace
  6. it does work...from the memory banks lou saban used to do that some back in the day...he moved Ike Harrison from WR to CB (starter) and also moved Bo Cornell from RB to LB (another starter) and local legend Paul Maguire led the country in TD receptions at the Citadel and became an NFL LB-punter and then broadcaster and all of that Ken Jones was a 2nd round pick (1976) and he switched from DL to OL = served as a head football coach at LaSalle Senior High School in Niagara Falls fpo several years We also moved Jason Peters from TE to LT and the rest is history. We also moved another second round pick (2011) Aaron Williams from CB to safety before he got hurt and had to retire
  7. thanks for the great job you so for us barnyard animals...no need to apologize...keep up the great work ?
  8. I kind of wish Frazier had gotten the Texans job, we would have gotten 2 number 3 picks and the D is in good hands overall with coach McD and maybe a change would do the D good. Our D line coach was the Panthers D coord as well so we are well stocked coaching that side of the ball..which makes me feel better that Daboll was not a prime candidate to move on...their loss is our gain. judging by the number of interviews... interesting that Eric Bieniemy had another year of consideration and no job. wonder if he has been given an offer and turned it down or does he interview poorly and suffers from the stigma of basically running Andy Reid's offense for him.
  9. spotrac versus over the cap...comparisons, likes-dislikes, comments, preferences...what say you ?
  10. GB = Wisc boy, his boyhood dream, just need to make cap space - the favorite landing spot for multiple reasons Tenn - contender, solid QB, no state tax - they can use Clowneys cap space for him - choice # 2 his two bros play for Pitt - but one plays his position and the qb situation is unclear and they got cap issues - so...NO The Bills - the bronze medal winner I am afraid Clev would be a shocker ?!?!
  11. Josh is now a bigger boy, has played 4 playoff games including the AFC championship so I think the team needs a better backup than mentor given that Dabs and Dorsey are back for another season as well....if Cam Newton gets passed over for being a starter I would make the call if he is still sitting during training camp
  12. from what I gather the league is borrowing some money from future year caps to take the pressure off this seasons....still a significant drop and you know all pre-pandemic planning-extensions were based on the cap going up-up-up...the 17 game season, new TV contracts will likely jolt it, as well as attendance which was 2.1M down from 17M...hoping they keep the extra wild-card team and game per conference as done last season as well...
  13. good trade for Colts, they gave a modest return, they have the cap to fit and the Reich and Wentz combo seems comfortable and productive. Colts have a better O-LINE and overall O so it makes a lot of sense plus Philly got him out of the NFC away from the Bears who needed to overpay to get Wentz and likely passed on the deal. Eagles still hit with a 33M dead cap in 2021 and maybe some more in 2022...they are still in cap jail.. Reich and Wentz sounds like a German Law Firm...
  14. america loves its football and conspiracy theories - mix the two of them together and you get off-season content for endless internet-TV programming which essentially saved the NFL from the pandemic empty stadiums and all...
  15. thanks for correcting me - is Klein better suited to play Mike and Edmunds on the outside...I dont see lateral movement-coverage-pursuit as a strengths for AJ at this point or in the near future esp compared to Edmunds
  16. agree Milano is likley gone; I just hope its not to a div or conf rival He has to be replaced, so I see AJ White getting the start, as he did when Milano was hurt...I see Dodson as backup and ST contributor. I also would like a second-day draft pick spent on the LB position for depth and emerging starter mid-season or next Next season the focus becomes Edmunds because unlikely to sign both he or Milano doesnt mean we have to automatically resign Edmunds to megabucks Plus will he switch positions and become an OLB - TE coverage needs improvement for sure His missed tackles rate and PFF position rating were not very good for last season; not deserving of a big extension
  17. and Kellyanne Conway daughter made the cut on American Idol, another great day for rich kids !!!
  18. similar story with the Stanley Cup...kids eating cereal out of the cup, kids being washed in the cup, Tom Barasso said it spent one nite sleeping at the bottom of his swimming pool, Martin Brodeur had a street hockey tournament in his driveway for the kids and when the winning team won they paraded the cup around the hood with little ones and dogs and cats sitting in the cup...this all makes me smile and laugh...a Karen moment indeed...so lets have a moment of silence for her whilst we mumble eff ewe under our collective breathes...
  19. Jimbo also scored big off the field marrying a beautiful lady on the inside and outside (Jill from Attica) I think she has brought God, strength, and a lot of love and happiness into his post-football life...
  20. excellent research but your spending cash that we really dont have, for starters I prefer focus on our own FAs esp the RFA - Ike B, Isiah WR, Wallace CB, punter. I would also extend Hyde FA 2022 for 1 year and determine if I can sign Josh to that big extension this season or not, sooner the better as it only goes up every year for QBs and we save millions during a 6-7 year extension for Josh Its a quality year for tackles so I can see us dropping from pick 30 into early second round to get more mid-round picks like a 4th that we dont have currently so we can grab a sleeper TE: I like Tony Poljan who transfer from 1. playing qb to TE 2. to UVA from Cent Mich - kid is smart, 6-7 and 265 - has arm length and body to run block and to shield defenders to make short-yardage or red zone catches while covered..has the body of Gronk more or less https://www.sports-reference.com/cfb/players/tony-poljan-1.html
  21. no offense to my fellow Buffalonians, we all know what a great experience it can be to live in WNY, but to the average American who has not, the appeal of living in San Fran compared to Buffalo is clearly not going to go our way, esp for chicks, esp for those who have some money to spend
  22. would have to give him at least 15-20 carries per game and some targets to justify a pick at that position (20-25-30% of the offense) would have to cut Singletary or Moss - young-cheap-3rd recent picks - not likely a vet replacement for TJ (game day inactive) is more likely rather than a high draft choice
  23. the good news is that Brady is in the other conference, for at least 1 more season, hope he stays there - no state tax, sun, winning SB, etc we got to beat Brady junior in KC and loosing twice to them this season has to be the best blueprint I would love for the Bills to beat the Bucs in the SB on a last second field goal and then Brady announces retirement during post-game celebration that would be the slaying of the dragon
  24. the NFL Man of Year and face of the franchise on the move ? not likely, more like off-season fodder being recycled ? More interested in the Watson-Hou issue which s on the front burner...signed the big extension less than a year ago with a NTC clause, now wants out cuz he wanted input-status of the front office hirings, and based on what went down with Obrien trading Hopkins and picks galore...so the team is within its legal rights to ignore the request, but ultimately will Watson play hardball and skip OTAs/virtual meetings/workouts...becoming a big players league like the NBA ?
