  1. looks like a Cutlass Supreme of the mid-late 1970s...likely a snowbird coming back to enjoy those wonderful WNY summers and Bills games then heading south do the holidays and watching Sabres on centre ice..I
  2. nice player but wont work due to the commit to Star and Butler - look at the their dead cap and the potential new salary and itsover budget...Edmunds and Milano missed tackle percentages where very high last season, dont have the correlation to prior season to compare Star versus no Star...but beyond the run defense the middle of the field pass coverage was bad last season as well and Star is not going to help with that...no interior pash rush is part of the problem and we overlook that because we primarily expect that from the edge and end up having to blitz which opens coverage holes...
  3. as a child of the 70s Rick Azar was a big deal on Buffalo sportsTV...The WKBW (Channel 7) news crew of Irv Weinstein (news director and anchor) , Rick Azar (sports anchor), Tom Jolles (weather outside and commander Tom Show) dominated the TV ratings during this time period... In addition...Rick did color for his station for the expansion Sabres TV games and when WBEN (Van Miller) lost the radio rights to WKBW radio for a few years, he did color analyst as part of a terrible broadcast crew of Al Meltzer (voice - Philly sports TV) and Ed Rustkowski (ex Bill - sideline analyst) which had to the worst collection of broadcast talent in Bills if not NFL history. They did 1 hour pre-game called "Bills Today" which I listened to religously in the days of my mis-spent youth...plus the Bills sucked. He moved=retired to NC - Charlotte area - where are lot of WNY retire to as NC does not tax pensions and its a lot warmer and NO SNOW... rest in peace, good sir, and thanks for the memories...
  4. ding...ding...ding...dare id iz...todays winnah
  5. ding....ding...ding...we have a winner...not sure of what...but the comedy and sarcasm on this portal of higher thought often makes up for the feeble posts of our cerebral midget brethren
  6. gadget guy plus returner or just gadget guy or just returner - enquiring minds wanna know ya know...either way a thumbs up to having him back
  7. I hope they picked his brain about the gameplan used to beat the Bills x2 and maybe left a page or two of their playbook before he hurt himself and asking for 10M per season
  8. yeah their apex was a come-from-behind playoff win against....
  9. and if were not an ex-Carolina asset would we care
  10. umh maybe Pegulas have non-sports business to attend to such as East Energy Resources...maybe picking up some pierogies from the second largest Polish city in the world while picking up Jessica from her return flight from Dubai where some lost in the quarters... https://www.wtatennis.com/players/316956/jessica-pegula
  11. which we dont have - at least not this year due to Diggs trade
  12. and his bro get picked first round by the boyz a month later..a very good year for the Diggs fam
  13. can we close the opt-out thread ?
  14. todays BN says Levi Wallace will not be given a RFA tender offer making him an UFA, not necessarily closing door but one foot out the door...not likely to give the job to Dane Jackson (7th round pick) and fully expect some competition and that position needs it...
  15. defense first approach...they got run-stuffing NT from the fins (yes...and the usual vertical TE)
  16. next man up, 2 very good years from him at age 30+, thanks for the productivity adds to the extra free agent draft picks next year hopefully
  17. good points raised. I think Bills management decided that they way the team came together during the second-half of last season won 2 out of 3 playoff games validated keeping the roster in place given that replacement either were either not as good and or not likely to come here given cap constraints or secondary reasons (the wife or girl not crazy about WNY)...yes...what is the next step to improve the pass rush and middle pass coverage ? Is Star the answer to stabilzing the interior against the run, is he going to retire or not ?
  18. and then the cost and the ability of replacement for Star at the 1 tech position...a starter...Vernon Butler ? kind of light which was Beane's opinion of why the overall interior did not stop the run effectively last season..help wanted.
  19. depth - rotation - injury insurance...under contract for one more year only with a pay cut
  20. hate to see him go but others have silly cap space that we don't...just want him out of the division and conference..he is kind of small and some injury history so the risk is above normal given the long-term contract he is looking for and likely to get, good for him
  21. 7th rounder; had a camp and partial year to develop; likely PS member unless he beats the odds to make the roster which involve an injury more than beating someone out
  22. excellent and smart move - 3 more years if it goes to the max will be 8 years - this was a find and a big hit by McD - this one precedes Beano 2=year extension worth 19.25M per NFL Network h/t espn
  23. thanks for sharing, a good number of us are passionate-loyal-dedicated Bills fans because of our strong family-community bond that unites no matter our other differences across across WNY, the country, home games, road trips with plane full of Bills fans wearing the colors...a lot of it started with our parents back in the AFL days and we have followed their leads..condolences to your family of Bills fans, may she rest in peace, and her spirit continue to be with you during the games.
  24. thanks much, excellent points...I do expect Bills to draft a swing G-RT with the first pick as the draft is suppose to be deep in tackles and Bills will scrutinize for the ability to play both G-OT. I dont expect to start right away but perhaps in-season... I don't see the replacement for Morse being this pick, G-C, so this complicates what to do with Feliciano and I say keep unless someone blows our offer away. I see Ike B as the LG and Feliciano retained as RG and backup C to Morse. Ford likely to be starter at RT until rookie is ready. Not ideal as you mention Ford is mediocre at best as OT and much better at G which should help the running game.
