  1. it would be highly surprising or is it really ? to see Hackett get a job over former player and vet OC with a Super Bowl win on his resume Eric Bieniemy... Daboll is also going to be in demand I would suspect...which makes me wonder who the in-house candidate would be to replace ? Dorsey qb coach comes to mind first.. any other cerebral giants on this portal of higher thought have any pearls of wisdom ?
  2. we got plenty of banged-up guys ourselves so get well guys; do we do same gameplan that we did against KC whuch was hope and pray Might we stick with the new found running game this week and have it set up some play action or will regress to our mean and Josh ends up having to play hero qb
  3. promising stat that surely gives Ike some confidence Too small a sample size, NE D-line not that good and I like to throw-out the low and high score and also focus on the over or under versus the expected. We got Feliciano back just as Morse exited, having those two together would the best and Dawkins is a given. Winters becomes the depth behind Ford at RG I say with Williams doing a quiet steady job at RT. Feliciano-Morse-Ford would be our best interior lineup but it may not happen until Morse recoops,
  4. untradeable and most unfortunate..un-cut-able https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/buffalo-bills/aj-klein-12429/ Kleins cap numbers are unfriendly to cutting him without absorbing approx 4M in dead cap for next season and you cant do that given our 2021 cap and all the unsigned vets (Milano, Feliciano, the other G, the RT come to mind). Insert insulting cliche here... slow white guy who plays with high motor...not sure what they saw here in when they scouted-signed him other than maybe more of a match to replace LorAx than Milano.
  5. the analytics show strong correlation to decrease in these holding penalties to the same decrease in playing time for one Lee Smith...TE Bills...false starts are down as well... Bills had same number of penalties as NE which is strongest analytic of a close game...next question please
  6. it was a very 2020 win I feel good about it but not as good cuz of the leaky D and the lack of the home crowd cheering and enjoying it the pats are dead this year but the fins are coming on
  7. also I like was SF did last week - use speed on the edge as a counter to the run left - WR screens or jet end-around call here and there to attach the edge
  8. vary things a bit more like walk up and have an immediate snap instead of slow-walking and then the usual long, drawn-out usual hard-count where the D knows he doesnt get the snap until the play clock is down to 1-0 then maybe snap it on the first count this way the O keeps the D more honest its like playing poker, you dont want to show your hand until the end
  9. tie..between feliciano and bills fans for watching yet another season where we beat the mediorce teams (likely squeak into playoffs) and are able to see first-hand the glaring weakness of our D...Seattle and Arizona up next aint gonna be easy...the process seems to be stuck on recycle
  10. Bills have approx 4M in cap space, Beano has shown he trades during and at end of camp, not expecting any moves, that 4M carryover likely more helpful than a trade deadline move...
  11. ilkely Hyde, Butler, Knox, Norman to be ruled out for us Norman (hammy) and Butler have not given us much this season as expensive Carolina free agent adds not helping the D I hope Phillips and Johnson at safety get to play
  12. this defense misses the interior play, experience and space that Star has, makes it harder on the other DT (Oliver play has dipped as well) and Edmunds not going to make plays when the opponent offense is allowed to place a blocker squared-up on Edmunds as I am seeing at times
  13. Josh Norman cannot cover a number 1 receiver - nobody on the roster other than 27 can it appears Milano - would love to keep him and keep him healthy - but how given our cap and need to pay Josh the massive big contract ? Also Milano is smallish and has shown some consistent injuries which further cloud the decision to re-sign him Pass rush - no pressure whatsover from the base rush package and any bliztes were not effective as well. Addison, Jefferson and Butler were invisible last nite other than the PF for late hite that cost more points. Run defernse - need Star back to anchor and makes Oliver more effective as Milano does for Edmunds. The draft - given the DE age and Murphy likley leaving the pick of DE esp in the second round with a first-round grade makes sense, but right behind is a CB and LB so that is priority for 2021 draft Roberts was garbage last nite and so was the coaching - if the defense continues to suck does Frazier get canned (like if we dont make the playoffs after 4-0 start ?)
  14. the guy has made most of his second chance; has a great head coach and a solid yet not spectacular (other than Clowney and Henry) squad around him He has matured since the Miami days into possible all-pro but with Henry they are not pass happy... showed some running capability last nite as well. He's also filthy rich as a young man and has a smoke show wife....
  15. same old issues come up..gap and tackling...safe to say our interior misses Star L big body, very under-rated presence...Edmunds reads and reacts always going to be a topic of concern...big play Derrick Henry coming-up after LVR game, get it fixed guys
  16. the good teams are going to find ways to move the ball; the Rams ran it well the entire game too; so at the very least the term "elite" will no longer be debated on this portal of higher thought. So the question has been answered how good is Daboll and Allen and they have stepped-up this season; Josh is in top 3-4 of all the desirable qb stats; TDs, yards, completion %, QBR, etc So now, how good is our D; where was the pass rush esp the second half ? should we have blitzed more; why did we give up huge chunks of yards on the ground the entire game when Milano and Edmunds were back which was a problem last year. They blew-up the screen passes all game, but the middle is wide-open again where the TEs roam. These questions also pertain to the entire NFL where the offenses are really coached and executing well, so the defenses are more challenged than ever...
  17. that means Milano and Edmunds are in or game time decisions at the very least...Dodson playing some or more is not a concern based on the Fins game this is Moss second injury (toe) his first was a neck injury during training camp where he missed several days...way too early to categorize as injury prone, but...he did miss significant time in college due to injury and his run-to-and-thru-contact style does concern me
  18. great point, perhaps his best game as a Bill. Bills radio crew had Josh as Bills best player and Roberts was their second choice !
  19. favorite home game - my first game ever 1970 home opener versus Cowboys (Craig Morton, Walt Garrison) at the old War Memorial Stadium - quite a high-scoring game and OJ scored right in front of me; Tony Greene debut, smallest player ever to wear an NFL uniform I believe... least favorite - watching Bert Jones and the Colts come from behind to score a lot of points and beat us during the Lou Saban run on O and hide on D days or is it daze
  20. Marrone will oversee the taking thru week 14 and the last 1-2 games some assistant likely a minority will be the interim. Seems coaches get fired over the bye week - so the next scalp is NYJ Gase fired after 11/15 game against Miami right after game #10 and the start of bye week. Cincy hangs on to coaches for long streches, BoB in Houston is the GM and coach so that likely would be a right-after-the season decapitation, and it could be a long season in Philly as well...
  21. with Moss the only run to contact RB,if he gets hurt there is no physical runner on the roster or PS ,so does that provide more value than what TJ offers is the question in my mind...Miller does have some injury history as well...occupational hazard of the position conversely if Motor misses time is TJ of more value than Miller....
  22. likely his last year as a Bill, given how much the team spends on the postiion, we are in the top 5 in the league, and the likely emergence of our young WRs make him a cap casualty given the need to extend Milano, Trey, etc...
  23. Namath is to the Jets, what Seaver is to the Mets...1969 made the legends...Seaver's body of work much more impressive and Hall-of-Fame beyond any doubts, so dont go there friendoes
